  1. This has been covered many many times before. And a wee bit of searching and reading would garner all the answers you could ever think of. First thing....Turbo isn't your only FI option. You can SC instead. GTM do a damned good kit. You will not get any kind of massive gains from a VQ35HR engine whilst remaining N/A. Sorry bud, it's just not gonna happen. Most you can do - Fit 2 performance panel filters, HFC's (or Decats), get the car re-mapped with UpRev. Even then if you break 320bhp at the fly I would be surprised. What it will do is make the power delivery smoother with a better linear delivery. We have a few members who have spend £££££ on trying to keep NA and gain power. In the end most of them say they wish they had just saved that little bit more cash and went FI. If you really don't want to go FI, then your money will be best spent as follows; Premium tyres, Uprated Polybushes, Coilovers, Advanced Driver Training days (such as the CAT days).

    New wheels

I've heard various good things about Stella Blast. I think one of the guys who used to work at SEM in Sunderland is there now. Looking good, but lose the Apexi sticker. It looks crap.
  3. Isn't that because you are getting old? Insurance still baffles me. My Honda shed costs £480 TPF&F and is valued at £2k. For the Audi A6 S-Line Im looking at, it would cost £380 Fully Comp valued at £17k
  4. You'll be opening your own garage in no time at all!
  5. The DPF issues seem to be mostly on the pre-facelift models. I'm looking at a 2009 model, and whilst that certainly doesn't mean it may not have issues, I think (hope) it's less likely. All diesels can have DPF issues. My Pug had no end of them. A re-map and Removal would be on the cards though Falcon Performance do them.
  6. As already said - Just do the Bose hack. Easy to do and will cost you buttons compared to a new head unit.
  7. Quick answer since I'm feeling generous today. VQ35DE max on stock internals = circa 400bhp VQ35HR max on stock internals = circa 500bhp. These are rough figures as its the associated torque that kills the engine, not the actual power. It's been covered many times in the forums "Forced Induction" section. There are 3 options - Supercharger, Single turbo, Twin turbo.
  8. Thanks for the info so far guys. I'd be getting the 2.0l Diesel. Me and my wife will be driving it, so not looking for anything powerful. Just comfort and refinement for driving the wife and kids around. The Honda has been a great estate, but the interior lets it down in my opinion. So looking for something classier. As for servicing, it'll be going to Independant specialists. I wouldn't let a dealer anywhere near any car I own.
  9. First off, let me say this: Please don't suggest various S6 or RS6. Due to the vagries of eonomy (namely the expense of having twins arriving in Decemeber) I'm only looking at A6 Avant Diesels (has to be an Avant since twin prams are fecking huge!) We've got around £17k to spend, and there are a number of decent spec cars in that price range (albeit with slightly above average milage). We had initially settled on an Insignia, but after a visit to friends in London at the weekend and spending some time in their A6, it's became something that has tempted me. Does anyone here have any long term experience of owning one, and what they are like to live with? Common faults etc etc? I'm looking at the Audi forums etc, but they tend to be biased so figured I would ask the folks here.

    Fiat 500

Hasn't Stew's missus got one? I can't remember what it ws that I helped change the tyre on at LakeZ 2011.
  11. R35LEE is based in Middlesbrough and can supply with various parts
  12. it can be yours for a cool £200k!!!
  13. Visited Brooklands today and spied these 2 spectacular examples; I'm not normally a huge classic car fanatic, but I admit I did a sex wee over both of this.
  14. Each of the previous iphone launches, O2 has offered me a deal to buy myself out of my contract for a flat fee of £60 in return for a straight exchanage of old iphone for new iphone and then signing a new 2 month contract. But this time they ain't doing that! So I'm stuck with my 4S for another year. Dammit.
  15. Woody is for NE. Not 100% certain where others where for. There's a major forum shake-up in the pipeline including revised set-up for REO (regional events) and NEO (national events - new position). Once Chesterfield is back of hols and settled with the new business venture the team will crack on and get the finer details finished. It's been a chaotic summer for many of the team which is why the change has taken longer than usual to finalise
  16. My wife gained her PhD 5 yrs ago in something to do with nutrition. That's on top of a Ma on something else I don't understand. She lectures for Durham University. She is much smarter than this simple sailor.....until it comes to common sense!
  17. They are not mods. But to give REO's the authorisations they require to run the sub forums they are added to the mod list on the portal page. It's a quirk of phbb software. With reference to Woody in particular - I have advertised for a replacement REO twice since January this year and rcvd zero interest.

    My Zevolution!

I had use of a black rose ragtop for the day last summer. The colour is truly truly stunning.
  19. I wonder what Tom at TGM would charge Still under the nissan warranty so it needs to be an official nissan garage im afraid. A common misconception that all dealers would like us to believe. You can get your car serviced at any VAT registered garage and manufacturers have to honour the warranty (provide approved parts have been used in the services)
