  1. Hi! Looking for some advice on my newly assemled Cusco Rs differntial. Everything is back together but my left hand side stub axle (short side) moves in/out a fair bit. Measured it about 2.2mm movement. The locking collar on the axle splines seem to slot into the groove in the diff. on closer inspection it looks like the side gear in the diff is what moves when i move the axle in/out. Is this normal on a clutch type lsd? the right hand side in comparsion just moves about 0.3 mm. attatching a picture gear circled in blue is waht is moving any advice would be appreciated.
  2. (Update) I ended up upgrading the radiator to a Koyo hyper-V 36mm, from the stock 16mm oem unit. I just recently drove on track again and the cooler seem to be doing a good job, but ultimately I still reach about the same oil temprature. Positive gains were: - Sits a bit lower in temprature generally , maybye about 3-4 degrees celsius cooler. So takes a little bit more time before it reaches those higher temps - When you do reach those higher numbers it cools down quite a bit faster. Before I needed atleast 2 cool down laps before I could step on it for 1 lap. Then I’d be at the same level again. Now I can do just 1 cool down lap and drive 2 hotlaps before reaching the same temprature. So I will probably purchase a uprated engine oil cooler aswell when the time comes. Thought i’d just share some updates 🙂
  3. Hi everyone! New to this forum so this is my first post. I’ve been contemplating for some time now wheter I should upgrade my Radiator or install an aftermarket oilcooler. I have done 2 trackdays so far and it’s fairly easy to reach high oiltemps after a few hotlaps. (Reaching towards 115-120 degress celsius. (I have an aftermarket oiltemp gauge in the door vent) watertemp sits about halfway on the stock gauge but the fans do kick on freqently. I feel the Z could use some improved cooling but I don’t want to get stuff I might not need.. Since watertemp also seems a bit high Im thinking about buying an aftermarket radiator since it will affect both water and oiltemp. Im curious if this will be enough in my case or if I should just buy an oil cooler instead. Maybe both? but like I said I don’t want to buy stuff If it’s not required. Do any of you guys track your Z? Anyone who has perhaps just done one of these mods and can share what temps you reach at the track. cheers! P.S My car: 2005 Nissan 350Z VQ35DE. Mostly stock with mild intake mods and catback exhaust. Running Motul 300v 5w-40 oil.
