(Update)
I ended up upgrading the radiator to a Koyo hyper-V 36mm, from the stock 16mm oem unit.
I just recently drove on track again and the cooler seem to be doing a good job, but ultimately I still reach about the same oil temprature.
Positive gains were:
- Sits a bit lower in temprature generally , maybye about 3-4 degrees celsius cooler.
So takes a little bit more time before it reaches those higher temps
- When you do reach those higher numbers it cools down quite a bit faster.
Before I needed atleast 2 cool down laps before I could step on it for 1 lap. Then I’d be at the same level again.
Now I can do just 1 cool down lap and drive 2 hotlaps before reaching the same temprature.
So I will probably purchase a uprated engine oil cooler aswell when the time comes.
Thought i’d just share some updates 🙂
