  1. I am sure we are all minds of useful information, so perhaps we should share some of them. So my fact of the day is . . . . When dogs poop, they prefer to do it in alignment with the Earth's magnetic field I never know that
  2. ..... is all I have to say on this matter
  3. That's not the issue atm - It's a problem burning them to the disc I'm having. Are you sure the DVD drive is writable . . and not a read only one
  4. I'm surprised I found America VERY expensive for equipment. Bought my gear on a deal for £350 and they were like £500 for the same gear. Okay so Atomic is made in Austria so you'd expect the prices to be fair in Europe but as pretty much most ski gear is made in Europe America was always going to be expensive. In fact everything skiing from lift pass, food, equipment was well pricey. Just so glad we had a friends house in the mountains FOC. If the $ was 2:1 like it was a fair while ago then I can agree prices could be better, but America has to import everything. Thats surprising Ian, I think we spent perhaps $350 on gear, which is about £175. If you go to the Shop in Whistler then yes things will be a bit more, plenty of places not in a ski resort to pick up the bargains.
  5. Congrats on your new purchase Looking forward to some pics
  6. Have fun, snow boarding is great Before you buy any gear I would first see if you like it, if so book a winter holiday to the US or Canada . . then go shopping on your first day there. With the exchange rate you will get everything at over 50% less than what you would pay in the UK Most sports places here have last years stuff already on sale, so thats even more of a saving if you don't mind being seen wearing last years fashion
  7. Great work Darren, rocker cover looks just awesome

  13. Thanks everyone. I guess I will have to go have a play with one in the shop. I already have two 24" monitors, one for Mac Mini which I am getting rid of and one I use for work (plugged in to laptop). I just figured I could get rid of both and have one . . less is more type thing. Agreed that it may be a bit small, will have to see. you can get a 34" version as well. Any bigger than 34" would be too big for what I need IMO
  14. So I have just got a new laptop and am looking for a new monitor. Anyone got something like this..... http://www.lg.com/ca_en/monitors/lg-29UM65 The split screen function and dual link seem pretty cool. Thoughts?
