  1. Your wedding day should done how you both want it, not influenced by any one else, if you don't like something then either change to or don't do it. We had a family only service at a registry office then an amazing meal at a pub down the road. They made a private area for us, food and service was spot on. Could not have asked for more. We then had a Hog roast in the garden the following weekend and invited all our family and friends which went down well. I know Graham went for seconds Could not have asked for a more perfect day for us I think a lot is about perception from others, there is too much keeping up with the jones's and thats when the costs start to spiral, which if you can afford it then go for it . . . if you can't then is it really worth getting in to debt for? Reading Sarnie's post, 40K . . you so did the right thing, I can't imagine spending 4k, let alone 40k If you are worries about the cost . . then his should make you feel better http://www.businessinsider.com/most-expensive-weddings-in-history-2011-4?op=1
  2. Those are all Hebrew names Thanks for that . . not that I was being at all facetious Any way all this religious talk has stirred a memory of great hilarity . . my RE teacher at school had a beard just like this . . . is it any wonder that I only just scraped a pass . . not that I give two monkeys. its not as though RE has been the most useful subject I have ever used in my adult life Also on every form that I have filled out since left school I have put "jedi" as religion
  3. So Jesus lived in Nazareth . . . which is just up the road from Jerusalem. How come in 1BC or when ever it was there were so many people hanging about with english names . . Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Mary & Joseph . . to name but a few. Seems like the bible is a tall story to me . . bit like Spot Goes Fishing
  4. Welcome Along Does it have De-Cats or Test-Pipes fitted? They normally make a MOT failure on emissions.
  5. So since Mr Jag has put up a mini update I thought I would After speaking to Darren for a few tips on polishing I thought I would have a play. So at the beginning of this evening one side of the block looked a little like this . . . Picked up a small sander today and a few different grits of paper. I am not going to go too mad at this stage as I don't really want to have to re-do any work after the block has been blasted. So this was after a few runs of 120 &320 grit using the machine. I then switched to 400 Grit wet sanding. Now since steel and water don't mix, I got some detailing lube (like you use for claying . . thanks again Darren ) and tested a few areas. so far so good. Once I get at this on full chat, I will be up to 1500 Grit . . and hopefully a nice smooth shiney finish This block has a few war wounds . . see very left of the above for a large chip taken off the side. It also has the below . . which I want to get rid of, so looks like a whole lot more sanding to come . . unless anyone has some bright ideas. That all for now, thanks for looking
  6. Looking good, and looking more Jag shaped great to see it coming along. I think my next visit to the UK I am going to have to take an extra day
  7. Think of it as gentle encouragement  Well I have finished degreasing . . I think Next up will be a drop of sand blasting, so we will see how that turns out especially if I go to the "Blast it your self" place
  8. A little update . . . . Well I have been working and globe trotting for the last couple of months . .all work and not much play, I thought it was about time I did a wee update on this. As some of you may have seen the lump was situated on this, poor little trolley was straining a bit and it wasn't exactly the greatest thing to work on.so . . . So I now have this . was on sale at $44.95 I was not really sure that 4 bolts would hold the block . . but it seems sturdy enough. I did make sure the bolts were Grade 8 . . non of that flimsy cheap aluminium bolts here, at least it won't drop on my foot Made a tray to catch all the crap that falls out, I am still in degrease mode.. and finally, I have seen the light . . . another bargain in the sale department . . $35 At least I can now see what the fook I am doing I am off to get back to the degreasing . . maybe more updates next week
  9. I wonder how Grundy is getting on . . he's been very quiet . . .
  10. Umm I think "the pits" is at the bottom of a long list of other words I would use
  11. Sounds like a "normal" Heathrow day if you ask me. Living somewhere as I do where the Airport is amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful, there are no queues, when I get on a plane to Heathrow my blood starts to boil before I have even get to the Atlantic Ocean . . . just ask some of the people that see my FB
  12. I am guessing a lot of teams hands were forced . . if you don't sign this you don't go racing. I agree with Graham, its the little weasels fault and he needs to fix it.
  13. I think he went to the pub to grow a pair ready for "dinner". I wonder if it will be a fish supper?
  14. If Lewis looses to Rosberg on the double points . . then I can't see it being repeated next year. Lewis has clearly won more races, and been the better driver. If they were more evenly matched on Wins then that would be a different story for the double points idea.
  15. Thats right dude, beer makes everything alright . . until the next morning.
  16. This will be Grundy later this evening . . . .
