  1. I have a Nikon D40..... not the most expensive model but it does me. Decent pic quality and its easy to use. I do have issues with taking pics of fast moving objects... F1/MotoGP... etc..... but thats more likely to be operator related I would recommend Nikon, I got mine in Canada few years back and saved about 40% on UK price.
  2. I came across 10 or 12 Nissan GTR's on two car transporters today going up the A34/M40 - Started counting nearly crashed...........thought it safer to not count
  3. I have a set of these.....but in black http://www.richersounds.com/product/spe ... 2005.3-sil I used to have big mission floor standers, book shelf and a sub. These KEF one are Soooooooooo much better in sound quality and alot more descrete. I use my DVD(Onkyo Upscaling), BlueRay(Samsung), PS3, CD(sony) and IPod dock (denon) all through a Denon AV1909 AV reciever in to a Samsung TV. I would recommend spending more on the speakers and AV reciever, you will really notice the difference. I set up each HDMI port to use the speakers differently (a bit tedious but worth doing). CoD Modern Warfare 2 kicks ass through the surround sound
  4. This was originally shown on BBC TV back in the 70's. Ronnie Barker could say all this without a snigger, though God knows after how many takes. The irony is, BBC received not one complaint. The speed of delivery must have been too much for the whining herds. Try getting through it without converting the spoonerisms [and not wetting your pants] as you read....... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the story of Rindercella and her sugly isters. Rindercella and her sugly isters lived in a marge lansion. Rindercella worked very hard frubbing sloors, emptying poss pits, and shivelling shot. At the end of the day, she was knucking fackered. The sugly isters were right bugly astards. One was called Mary Hinge, and the other was called Betty Swallocks; they were really forrible huckers;they had fetty sweet and fatty swannies. The sugly isters had tickets to go to the ball, but the cotton runts would not let Rindercella go. Suddenly there was a bucking fang, and her gairy fodmother appeared. Her name was Shairy Hithole and she was a light rucking fesbian. She turned a pumpkin and six mite wice into a hucking cuge farriage with six dandy ronkeys who had buge hollocks and digbicks. The gairy fodmother told Rindercella to be back by dimnlight otherwise, there would be a cucking falamity. At the ball, Rindercella was dancing with the prandsome hince when suddenly the clock struck twelve. "Mist all chucking frighty!!!" said Rindercella, and she ran out tripping barse over ollocks,so dropping her slass glipper. The very next day, the prandsome hince knocked on Rindercella's door and the sugly isters let him in.. Suddenly, Betty Swallocks lifted her leg and let off a fig bart. "Who's fust jarted?" asked the prandsome hince. "Blame that fugly ucker over there!!" said Mary Hinge. When the stinking brown cloud had lifted, he tried the slass glipper on both the sugly isters without success and their feet stucking funk. Betty Swallocks was ducking fisgusted and gave the prandsome hince a knack in the kickers. This was not difficult as he had bucking fuge halls and a hig bard on. He tried the slass glipper on Rindercella and it fitted pucking ferfectly. Rindercella and the prandsome hince were married. The pransome hince lived his life in lucking fuxury, and Rindercella lived hers with a follen swanny! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  5. If you live in a cul-de-sac then you should be ok with 802.11b/g. I would however scan to see what your neighbours are using so you can avoid any interference If you have a "home network" then you might want to look at 802.11n where you can up the bandwidth to 300mbs, if you just use the internet then its not worth paying the extra and stick with 802.1a/b/g which is 54mbs. The 834G is a popular router - -I would advise you make sure you update the firmware to the latest version and lock down the firewall for ALL external to internal connections. Security is all about common sense - If you use a PSK then make sure its at least 10 characters using alpha-numeric-character format...e.g 1L0veMy3$0Z3d! for example
  6. Here is my attempt.....38 sec
  7. ...................48 Hrs For the amount you pay I would expect it to be sorted alot quicker then that !!!!!!
  8. Hi, Most vendors such as Linksys, Netgear...etc are agnostic as to what you connect to it, just make sure you get a device that is capable of a high level of security.. If you are using wireless then make sure you put decent encryption on, otherwise you can be hacked with ease ....WEP for example is crap, I could sit out side you house in my Zed and connect to your wireless and download "Illegal things"... YOU WILL GET DONE !!!!!! No one should ever use WEP... I can crack WEP in less than 30 seconds...... You need to be using WPA2/AES for the most secure or WPA/TKIP if your lappy cant manage WPA2 Also make sure you scan for other wireless networks from you house to channel map correctly..... Ideally you want to use 802.11a channels as no one else uses them and you will get much better wireless connectivity. If you need to use 802.11b/g then you will need a wireless channel scanner such as "net stumbler" to enable you to select either 1, 6 or 11 as they are the only channels which don't overlap - choose the least popular of the three. just the thoughts of a wireless engineer who has spent the day with inept idiots !!!! Rant over

  11. Hi All, Has any one had a cherpy noise coming from the speakers? I have just picked up my Zed from the garage after have a new bumper fitted after my little prang Firstly the bumper aint on straight, so it going back next week to be fixed. While on the way home decided to phone the missus and I have a cherping noise every few seconds, Its not happening when the radio/CD is on, just the phone. Why could having a new bumper cause this? Is there any thing at the rear which would affect the bluetooth/phone connection to the amp/speakers? Has anyone else had/got this problem. Cherp Cherp

  16. Agggghhhhhhh, you can not imagine how I have been feeling this last week. I was a drizzely day last friday, I spent most of it outside getting a WLAN working, I pull up at a remote buliding and my boss says mind that post over there when you reverse out..... I get back in the Zed, check all mirrors - No Post !!!, start to perform a 3 point turn, reverse round, still checking mirrors, pull forward and hear a noise..... my heart sinks, get out the car, sprint to the rear..... I guess you can all see what coming............... I nearly cried, as I was on the way back to the office a phone call was made which I think was along the lines of "no one make any comment to doogyrev otherwise you are likely to get something large inserted in a small hole - He's not a happy chappie"
