So today I set about removing the rust and old paint.
The angle grinder with wire wheel was not much good at the nooks and cranny's, so the dremel will be out along with the sand paper. Bad light and a numb hand stopped play, four more drawers to go
Now you might be wondering why I did not start with the chest itself, well I have shamelessly cheated and sent that to a nice chap down the road call Ron. Ron going to sand blast it for me When I dropped it off he was saying that he had done a few 1940's Snap-On tool chests recently ......... which is exactly like mine, even have the same holes where the chrome logo went
If this is an original, should I be painting it "Snap-On" Red? Although I am quite liking the thought of a dark blue or a deep crimson red
