Quick question before I pull the trigger on an exhaust. Does anyone know if changing the cats for HFCs will result in an error code on a 370 Nismo? I am trying to work out whether to do cat back and HFCs then an Ecutek remap in the future, or just cat back for now then HFCs and a remap at the same time.

Me too and a formal complaint raised with the dealer I bought it from, not that it will probably result in anything.

Interesting trip to Nissan Oxford today to service my 2019 370 Nismo which I’ve had 8 months. Before I say anything else they did a good job and the car is currently under a Nissan warranty. Guess what - they found the shipping suspension spacers on all 4 corners and duly removed them. The car was originally sold and serviced 3 times at a Nismo dealer. I then bought it from a Nismo dealer on the south coast last August. How does that happen - questions the thoroughness of the servicing and pre sales inspections 🤔. I always thought the ride was a bit crashy but put it down to it being a Nismo. Funnily enough the journey home was much more comfortable. Far more compliant now…

Lol - know what you mean re HFCs. I’ve had similar in the past as well hence likely to run just the exhaust only for a bit. I will hopefully pull the trigger soon and order the exhaust! Good luck with the thinking on the mid section and if you do get something made, it would be good hear about the results!

Sounds like fun. Definitely going for the Gemini v2, just need to think about whether to add HFCs the same time or run the exhaust for a bit first which I may do, then add HFCs and a Ecutek tune at the same time. That’s the current plan..

Thanks for posting that - I hadn’t noticed it on the other thread - my bad! Really like the look of it and from what I’m hearing getting some high flow cats may help with the sound! Definitely food for thought!

Did you get your Invidia Gemini exhaust installed on your Nismo? I am interested to hear what you think of it, and the fitting.

Thanks for all the help and guidance folks. I've installed some AFE pro dry filters and I think I'm going for a staged approach and get the Invidia exhaust next. Once I've run that for a while, I can then work out if I am happy to increase the sound a bit more and add HFCs before getting an Ecutek map done. Might sound a tad too sensible as an approach but it's probably the best way to avoid going all in straight away and possibly regretting it (which I have in the past albeit 10 years ago). I suspect I will end up with HFCs as well, but no rush 🙂. Just need to find someone to fit the exhaust near me now before ordering..

Thx Andy - yes trying to work out the order of things. If I decide to go down that route, I expect I'm better to get them installed before I go down any remapping or at the same time to avoid any issues.

Hi all, I fully appreciate that this topic has been around the houses many times, and I have reviewed a number of forum conversations on it. However I am thinking of installing some air filters on my 370 Nismo and potentially going for an Invidia Gemini V2 cat-back exhaust followed by an Ecutek at some point. I am not interested in max power gains on an NA, more driveability and a slightly better engine note. I think CAI is a step too far and I have read varying degrees of success on them other than the engine bling factor (please let me know if this is misguided). I am not really sure how much of an issue heat soak is on the 370 Nismo either which would be the only reason I would consider CAI. Anyone have experience on air filters (and / or the exhaust) and be able to advise on recommended products? My normal go to is K&N or BMC for air filters. Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi Mark, how did you find the quality of the repair done on your bumper? Asking as I have some stone chips I need to get repaired at some point.
