Potential UK 370Z Nismo Buyer - Future Values and other questions
Tomato replied to scz4's topic in 370z General
Future values, should never really buy a car for future value, certainly not anything this new. A few of the so called expert believe the 350 is likely to be a future classic, but imagine you will need to hold on to them for at least another 10 to 15 years to make that happen. Both 350 and 370 are great cars, more likely future regulations will kill off the fun we have in them before they really increase in value, so enjoy while you can 😁 -
Anyone going? https://www.exclusive-jdm-store.co.uk/product/the-exclusive-jdm-season-opener-event-2022

There was two plastic brackets in the box with the Pioneer, one rectangular smooth, the other slightly smaller rectangular but with clips and was slightly smaller if that makes any sense at all. They go on the front of the stereo, I think both on when you get it out of the box when new. The larger smooth one I did not need, when it was on it made the plastic panel, both lower one with heating controls and the stereo panel stick out. If you dont use, perfectly fits. Hope that helps, can see if I have pictures as was scratching my head for ages.

Did a bit of a squaddie wash this morning to get rid of some bird poo and a fine coating of dust. Decided to try the ceramic wax sitting in the cupboard, never work that well on the Jag in the background but really impressed with how its come out in on the Z. Lots of admiring fans too with a fair going on opposite in the park 😁 Weird how some products work better depending on the car colour.

Did you keep your old stereo brackets? If so they should bolt on to the side of the Pioneer and you screw them into the same place. You also dont need that extra front bracket if you know what I mean, confused me for ages 🤣

My stereo is the Pioneer 230dab, once connect that blue amp wire all sound worked including the sub, would have thought yours would too 🤔 Only trouble I have cannot get steering wheel controls to work properly, they only seem to change the source on the stereo atm 🤣 If take out soon will takes pics of wiring so can see how mine is wired.

From memory you have to connect that blue amp wire to something and you will get sound. I remember criping it to another wire, someone will know.

Proposal for Sunday driving ban and 64mph motorway limit
Tomato replied to davey_83's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Has it really come to this, just give me 100 grand and I will give up my petrol cars 🤣 -
Well, took off door panel and gave it a thump around where the motor is and blow me, its working 🤣 I assume that probably means the motor needs a clean or replacing soon, but most pleased the window is now up and seems to be working as it should, for now at least.

Can I check something, are the power windows controlled with the same fuse? If so, cannot be the fuse as driver window is fine. Thanks
-
Thanks, just went out to check it was not due to window lock and its not, which is a shame Will do a fuse check in the morning. Thinking about it, it failed when I put the roof back up, window automatically goes down when you put it back up, then you have to manually put them back up, i know they had both been up prior to this as it was a little breezy. Cleaned all the seal and gummi them few weeks back when we last saw a bit of sun. if not the fuse will get the volt meter out and start testing. Just realised also have 6 month RAC warranty, wonder if they cover this, bonus if they do.

Second car within 4 months with a window issue, why of why do they fail down 🤔 Anyway passenger window is stuck down, neither switch works to bring the window back up. Cannot hear anything happening on either side. Driver side fine, everything else in the car works. Two questions if I may, any easy way to get window back up manually? Second what is the usual suspect, switch, motor or something else. Have loosen door panel taken switch out but not look at it yet. Will be a job for tomorrow as light fades Thanks for any help.

That made me smile, if you are driving like Ms Daisy the GTR is the wrong car for you.

Best year to purchase would be 2012, got lots of tweaks all round and the Litchfield 4.25 stage is common and takes them to the max safe upgrade before you really need to start changing things. Think you looking between 45 to 55 for a decent 2012+ currently. The two things that put me off, one is the unexpected expense bills, pretty reliable cars to be fair if serviced properly, but something breaks it is big buck, even a 2012 is 10 years old. My other worry as I dont have a garage is how often they get stolen, never found any stats on this?

Was a Porsche feast today at the event, all varieties, even a 959 for sore eyes, lots of varieties but no sadly no z's

Wow, that is shocking 🤯

I thought we buy any car do collect, used twice before, as long as accurate with the description have honoured the amount they have quoted.

Too many people on roads like this sadly 😪

I read that title as homemade burgers at first 🤣 not sure what to think of that. Bet it sounds terrible, like these ferraris using an mr2 as the base 😁

Katie the 9th dan judo fan may come for you if you replace, you have been warned 😄 Sounds like a good plan on fixes and things, and as said some nice 250 options at the dvla.

I do think there should be a charity set up for this sort of thing, there other things like cars, dogs, children etc it hurts 😕 I know many that would re home a needy car.
