Funny the 100k mark, landmark in a car life. Prefer for the car to not hang around too long, but equally don't want to give it away, that fine balance and of course element of luck for the right buyers turning up wanting to pay a price you want,😁 So random even looking on auto trader, and so lower mileage ones on there for circa 7k

Will be looking to sell my 350z in the next few weeks, but prices seem to be all over the place for bigger engine cars. Trying to gauge where to price the Z. It is a roadster (so summer being over (if ever here) won't help 😀) HR version on an 07 plate, 94k miles, reasonable history, full in my ownership with gaskets done, sparks, all brakes changed, all fluids done in my care. In midnight blue, GT version with original ray wheels, blue roof, upgraded stereo, side skirts, little lip spoiler, and been uprev mapped, sports cat and custom made exhaust. Body ok, got a few light scratches, no dents, front bumper and rear have been resprayed in last 18 months so stop chips not bad. Little spot of rush which may fix on 1,arch, but probably will sell with so new owner can choose to sort or not as common problem. Interior had resprayed so does not look scratched up, seats good condition. Any thoughts on a range? Need to fix sender for oil pressure gauge and another thing annoying me before I sell, but plan to do these before I sell.

Gallery Gaskets, not sure if they have been done
Tomato replied to SW66TTT's topic in 370z Technical
If the oil pressure is not low, would not worry too much. They dont just go pop, it will gradually reduce over time. -
The process has started, hunch was right, not terrible and pressure was fluctuating but it now being done, hopefully her back tomorrow 👍

Thanks guys, booked in for next week, great chat with Ali 👍

@Ben350Thanks, found this place eariler on facebook, looks like they know what they are doing, Halifax would be really convenient. Sounds like my best option, will call them tomorrow as dont want to leave it too long.

Looks like my time has come and the gallery gasket has decided to pack up with PSI starting to reduce, now sitting at around 22ish when hot idle from around 29 a couple of months. Couple of questions, any one had one done recently in Yorkshire region? And recommendations? What price did you pay, assuming looking at a grand, will get parts from Horsham probably with new bolts. Assuming it not likely to be anything else, no leak, oil topped up etc? Anything else worth changing while the cars is in bits? Thanks

Always use shell vpower, only because tesco stopped selling 99 as few bought it.
-
Going to start drawing my pension early I think 🤣 Or are you cheating and claiming you do 10 miles a year 😅
-
Maybe uses for some track fun
-
Maybe 🤣 was at the Motorist this morning in Leeds chatting to some R8 owners who had a few other expensive cars in the past, the R8 running cost sound reasonable (well as reasonable as these types of cars can be!)
-
Been watching prices for the last couple of months, they are steady falling including the V10s, suspect they will into 2023 but betting they start going up from 2024, maybe good time to buy 🤔 Always buy service plan on these types of cars, not cheap but find you can get them with MOTs and sometime covering cost for failures if not wear. Did look at the audi warranty, now that is steep, particularly to cover everything and no excess!
-
You trying to put me off looking at R8's 🤣

Same issue in West Yorkshire. Talking to the Shell man at the local garage all the petrol currently coming from one place, causing queues for tanker lorries and normal fuel being priortied to keep the country running. If true or not I dont know, but pretty stupid if true to only have one source 🤣
-
Will have to look into that, that could be the tipping point, plenty out there with low mileage. Quiet a different mustang vs R8? The V8s Mustangs do sound great 😁 I do love driving the 350 though, it at the right level for me where I can drive it hard and dont think it is actually going to kill me 🤣
-
Yes, 605 bhp in the RS7 performance. I do need a 4 seater really, well the other half tells me I cannot have 2 2 seater cars 🤣 So would mean losing the the 350, but thats like getting rid of one of your children 🤔 I do like big coupe/saloon cars. Decisions decisions. I am suprised you can still get a decent warranty on a 14 year old car? Wonder who they extended it with?
-
I would probably prefer the RS7 performance over the RS5 😀

Thanks guys, there was a interior rattle which I fixed as there was a clip missing which sorted out another rattle which helped to isolate the other issue. Going over bumps and being a roadster the whole car shakes, not much I can do about that 😀 Definitely outside of the car and mainly happens off throttle and noise level varies, when car cold more noticable than when warmed up. I think will just need to get on a ramp and start wiggling stuff and look for any evidence the exhaust is hitting something. Really hoping it something just needs adjusting, nothing worth than a nice sounding exhaust and a rattle when coming off the power, assuming other outside can hear it, certainly amplified sitting inside.
-
Hoping not as had it all changed when the exhaust was done, but yes they are prone on these cars. Job for after christmas now 😁
-
The evils of a car that rattles 🤣 Sort out rattle one which was a clip missing in the boot causing an echo! Now on to rattle two which think is the exhaust. When the car is stationary makes no or maybe a slight rattle (had camera under it but cannot see anything obvious). When driving, particularly when coming off the throttle it rattles, hard to tell where. Does seem to rattle a tad on bumps, but not noticable particularly when accerating either soft or hard. However, does not rattle if rev stationary maybe a little but nothing like coming off the throttle. Probably need to book it somewhere with a ramp to get a proper look, but does it sound like exhaust simply hitting underside of the car. Exhaust and cat are only 9 months old now.

EV as the future 🤣 Few people that i know have them now are complaining some of the function wont work in this cold weather. Dont we have higher risk of power cuts this winter, I know lets sell more EVs then that will solve the problem. Maybe we should invest in the back to the future cars from the 80s 🤔
-
I would second that, often find there also better quality for a decent price.
-
You guys are bad influences, I am typically an impulse buyer, which is not good when it comes to cars 🤣 I am in camp these fun petrol cars are going to be cheaper over the next 2 years, no different to any other ression these type of cars will take a pounding price rise, but totally agree when we come out the other end, prices will increase quickly as they won't be made anymore. There no denining electric cars are getting silly quick, but boy, they lack soul. Decisions decisions, need to more homework, already getting ear ache it only got 2 seats 🤣 Apparently not allowed 2 cars with 2 seats. Suprised how many arefor sale on autotrader, feels like a buyers market atm 😁
-
Thanks for the advice guys, have been doing some research on running costs, buying these cars is always the easy part as you know that part is fixed. Interesting the comment r8 vs gtr cost being the similar, but yeah the age and magride setup if faulty can be eye watering. Not concerned with thefuel bill, run a V8 now that drinks more than the R8 on paper or the regular maintenance stuff, even the expensive clutch and brake disc costs you can assume you need every two years etc but it is those suprise bills that are the pain in the arse that bite. Will keep getting info and number crunching.

I suffer from Porsche phobia, they have made some amazing cars, but never fancied one 😳 I cannot explain it, but a mate of mine has a cayman S too and absolutely loves it.
