I think not, that aspect wasn't mentioned - I never really had an issue with it anyway. However, the new inproved real sound coming from the back end now does drown it out to some degree!

I ran the car down to Goodwood on Sunday for the 90s Breakfast Club Meet. It's certainly a smoother and more linear power delivery and the V6 can be properly heard, although not to the extent of a full system or short tails, which was what I wanted as I didn't want super-loud. There's the improved security aspect from one of the maps and I've yet to play with the adjustable traction control.

Yes, we chatted a couple of months ago. Not sure if he's found one yet.

Finally found the Z for me

Welcome along! -
I guess this post is really "what have I done to my Nismo during the last nine months", because I've finished doing what I wanted to do with it, both from a mods point of view and cosmetically. Having had the roof wrapped and rear screen tinted during this last summer, along with a pair of Z Burgers and fresh plates, last week it was in with Abbey for a P3, MOT, 15mm spacers, Cobra HFCs and Ecutek tuning, giving access to four individual maps. At last I have a V6 that can be heard and a smoother, more linear and very noticeable, power delivery - plus the added benefits of enhanced security and adjustable Abbey Traction Control. I rarely get the chance to give this car a proper run, so it was certainly a fun drive down to Goodwood yesterday! It's all fairly minor stuff compared to what some owners do, but I've put my stamp on it and when the time comes to move on, hopefully it will appeal to potential buyers. On the way home, I stopped of to take a few photos of the finished article.

Are the Midlands meets regular (monthly, quarterly or whatever), or just as and when?

Welcome along - pics are a must as well....

Temporary Car Insurance | 1 hour-30 days | Veygo By Admiral This is just what you need.
-
This is nuts - in a good way! Incredible dedication!

From our experience, Admiral are good eggs. We've had a multi-car policy with them for 10+ years, although the Z is insured elsewhere currently. When we did have to claim though Admiral some years ago (wife reversed into a parked vehicle, bless - very minor damage and a dark and rainy evening in her defence) they were very efficient and it was all handled and settled very efficiently. I do, however, appreciate that your case is a bit more, erm, complicated. I do hope that they resolve this to your satisfaction - good luck.

Rota wheel fitment question... maybe one for the traders on here!
Loadmaster replied to Bunning's topic in Wheels
I like those, a nice deep dish. Is D9R the brand? Sorry for dim question! -

First and third Saturdays of the month, from 09:30. Went along this morning and good to see another couple of Zs there, one being a lovely 1970 240Z. Billed as a "classic" meet, but there was a good mix of old and new. Well organised with tea/coffee/breakfast/loos available too. Let's try and get a few more Zs there next time!

Currently going through thoughts of aftermarket wheels myself. I'm considering going down from 10.5 and 9.5 to 9.5 and 8.5. There seems to be more options that way and I can still use the standard 245 and 285 tyres as well. Could you post a photo of your car here with the Rota wheels on? I've been looking at that brand, amongst a few others. Thanks. -
Truely stunning wheels. I guess they are the the ones on your old Z that I saw at Ace this year? I spoke to Wheelbase Alloys yesterday, one of the very few suppliers who have an individual fitment guide - very helpful. I might give Tarmac Sportz a call as well.

Anybody Looking For A Low Mileage 350z?
Loadmaster replied to Lynchyy's topic in Spotted on Ebay or Other
The ad is hardly descriptive, very little info made available. No idea on price, but traditionally not a good time of year to sell a ragtop. -
Thanks for the comment Dave - having never delved into the world of non OEM wheel fitments I'm a bit worried about getting it wrong! Loathe to trust some wheel suppliers who only give a V2 Nismo the option of 18" rims when they're 19" and other conflicting information! Then of course I've learnt that just because the offsets of the standard fronts and rears are "X" and "Y", they needn't necessarily need to be "X" and "Y" again when it comes to their OEM replacements. With reference to the Savini BM12 examples, that's the general style I'd change to, if I do. When you say "slightly more aggressive than stock" I assume you mean they'll sit further out into the arches?

Something along the lines of these.... Savini BM12 Alloy Wheels | Matte Black BM12 Alloys - LK Performance
