  1. Propulsion Club (exclusively two seater and rear wheel drive) meet in Betchworth, Surrey, this morning.
  2. Due to recent water shortages I've not washed any of our cars for nearly three months - completely unheard of for me. There was never a hospipe ban in our area, but it would probably have been a bit antisocial to be seen using one. The Z, being white, never appeared to look dirty, just dusty, but today the hose came out and spent a good couple of hours washing and detailing it - what a difference, it has its shine back!
  3. What a stunning Z...!! And it has what the V2 Nismo is missing - a proper wing!
  4. The revival of this thread has reminded me again to get shot of the fuse, despite mine being a late model. I wince every time I push the start button and hear the sound of the lock releasing!
  5. Great stuff, thanks. I'm not a mad driver in the Z but there are "moments" when I do wonder if things could be a little better than OEM. Plus, thinking ahead to next year, I will be giving it a good workout at a couple of tracks next year - that's the main reason for asking. Scott at Abbey recently told me that they've been using/fitting the Hawk DBA pads for many years now, so that's a good recommendation in itself I suppose.
  6. Payco - Sausage and Mash Rick - Beef Burger with bacon and cheese Keith (Loadmaster) Beer-battered fish n chips (full-fat non-GF option if there is one!)
  7. A stone's throw from Abbey Motorsport!
  8. 1.Payco (No car) 2.NismoAndy LS1 350 3. Rick - club catering manager - Audi 4. The Bounty Bar Kid - Cayman S 5 .Seb + 2 Kids - Mitsubishi Outlander 6. Loadmaster - 370Z Nismo
  9. How did you get on with the Hawk pads?
  10. Bump. Would be interested in opinions as well.
  11. We were going to go along this morning, but it was absolutely lashing down! Maybe next week.
  12. Yes same widths for non OEM replacement wheels, that's why I wanted to get confirmation that the RAYS widths, offsets, PCD and centre bore dimensions are correct.
  13. I'm sure it's correct, but I can't recall where I got the info from. Can someone confirm that it's correct please? Front rims 9.5jj & ET 47 Rear rims 10.5jj & ET 30 Centre bore 66.1 mm PCD 5 X 114.3 (5 X 4.5) Therefore, because I'm running 15mm spacers all round now with the RAYS, to have the same set up and appearance without the spacers with different wheels I need to drop from 47 to 32 and 30 to 15 for the ETs? Any guidance welcome - thanks!
  14. I might talk to the guys who wrapped my roof about this. Is it a particular type of clear film for headlight lenses?
  15. Bit late to the party here, but on the subject of headlight restoration I was told a few weeks back that Solvol Autosol metal polish works a treat. My Z's headlights don't need it, but our Aygo did - it was getting misty around the edges so I thought I'd try it out. Result? A pretty much perfect restoration, topped off with some 303 for future protection.
  16. The 6th November is now on the horizon, sort of... Did anyone else apply to Goodwood for track display?
  17. IMPORTANT - PLEASE NOTE: I have been made aware this week that post 1990 vehicles are now not welcome at this meet and are being encouraged not to turn up - long story and has upset a lot of modern classic owners who used to attend. So the 350s and 370s not welcome, but you're ok with the 240, 260, 280 etc.
  18. Popped along to the Edenbridge (Kent) show earlier for a couple of hours. Saw this rather nice SSS on display and I'm certain I've seen it before somewhere! 😉 Good to see you again Martin...
  19. Mileage is climbing, nearly 5,000 miles covered since I bought my Z in February 2021.
  20. I was in a VW showroom this week looking at an UP! GTI to replace our C1. I went along in the Z and of course that started some banter about them with the sales guy. He reckoned that in a few years, approaching the ban on selling new petrol/diesel vehicles in 2030, the value of all performance/ specialist / rare cars will start to rise again.
  21. Next one, Saturday 17th September Billed as a "classic" meet for pre-90s vehicles, but there is mostly a mix of old and newish. Well organised with tea/coffee/breakfast/loos available as well. Bletchingley Arms, Nr Redhill, Surrey, RH6 4PE 09:00 - 11:30
  22. Welcome along, the Nismo V1 looks great with the wing on the back. I only wish it was carried forward onto my V2! What's the grand looking building (castle?) in the background on the first photo?
  23. The higher the mileage, then yes potentially some reliability issues with stuff wearing out. Same as with any vehicle and reflected in the price hopefully. But with a complete and consistent service history, I wouldn't necessarily hesitate to buy a high miler.
