  1. I’ve got a 2011 G37, basically the same car. The G37 forums are also full of posts on the steering lock, after wading through these I pulled the fuse as others have recommended. The new lock being fitted is also failing, just as the old one did, so even after having the replacement done it might be worth pulling the fuse.
  2. Thanks for that stanski, I won’t be contacting we buy any car.com now
  3. You’ve got me worried now re extortionate prices for spares!! All the parts I’ve had to buy so far have been consumables, with the exception of an oil pressure switch and I’ve obtained everything form a Nissan dealership and prices have been very good. The dealership also told me that they can do all the diagnostics on the car and all repairs if any are ever required. I guess if I ever need anything like a new headlight it will cost me an arm and leg unless I can secure a “used unit” from Japan or Australia
  4. Wouldn’t the TPMS have been activated with the large discrepancy in pressures and flagged the warning light on?
  5. Extremely!! Love mine, goes very well, comfortable and drop dead gorgeous. Fingers crossed the parts that are purely Infiniti won’t be too difficult to get hold of in around 10 months time!!
  6. G37 convertible......regular reader of this forum
  7. Not many 370Z’s round here to compare it to. My sister ran a 350Z with a stock exhaust and from memory the G37 is just a little quieter than that.
  8. Seven months and 4,500 miles later the G37 is running perfectly. Hasn't used a drop of water or oil, starts on the button first time every time. Fuel consumption is averaging 25.5 mpg with a mixture of driving, on a long run its much better, we did close on 500 miles over the weekend going down to The Cotswolds and the actual figure was just over 31mpg.....I dont think my right foot is as heavy as some of you guys ;-) No regrets in buying it, love the way it looks and performs. Finding the information on this forum very useful. Thanks
  9. The hardest thing is removing the fuse box, it does take a considerable pull to get it out, once done it’s dead easy, the YouTube tutorial is spot on If you can’t get the steering lock to release it’s too late to do this process.....you’re into the £700 bill to resolve it
  10. Mines a G37, basically the same car, if it’s just behind the front wheels it’s the air conditioning condensation. Regards John
  11. It’s a good reliable autobox Left in auto it changes gear at low revs, has smooth changes and you can take your Grandma out for a ride. Press a bit harder with your right foot and the car really shifts, again with good smooth changes, kick down responds immediately. A flick of the lever into S mode and the car responds to much smaller inputs on the accelerator peddle and holds onto the gears a bit longer. The paddles are very good, foot to the floor and redline gear changes arn’t quite as smooth.....but are probably a lot smoother and quicker than most manual owners can deliver.....I’ll get some stick for that!! Using that paddles to down change you get a lovely blip of the throttle on the down change. I would recommend you take a look at the issue of the steering lock mechanism, an easy fix and it’ll save you a £1000 bill, is to pull the fuse that controls it
  12. Are there no “smart” repairers in your area? Ive used a couple in areas where we live and they’ve done an excellent job very reasonably
  13. Whoops!! Sorry guys, I don’t want to step on anyone’s toes.
