  1. Go to a hardware shop and buy jubilee clips? Plumbing section will have rust free options and be cheaper than Halfrauds/Neesan etc.
  2. Yeah no fear mongering so take all my comments with a pinch of salt. The tyres are en route so fit them and enjoy the car! Personally I'm running Hankook Ventus S1's which nobody here recommends ha! Just means if I ever get a puncture I know I can easily afford to replace them instead of the pricey MPS4S/MPSS
  3. Having just driven on the motorway in the worst conditions I've had to withstand in the Zed, I'd definitely recommend spending the extra on tyres. It's given me enough confidence to keep driving, if I had bald/crap tyres I would have parked up and waiting for some sunshine. Seen a few incidents leaving bits of bumper, gravel and all sorts on the motorway, definitely not a nice day to drive a sporty car. Guess it's a mixture of driving skill, driving sense and car tyres/brakes to match - like its been said above, if in doubt don't take it out.
  4. The one place I forgot to check. Just dropped him a line thanks!
  5. Hahaha we both know how that works out!
  6. Having a look around and can't quite figure out why Hawks are so expensive in the UK and so cheap in the US. Aside from the usual dealers on here, anyone got any recommendations where I can save a few quid on Hawk pads? Happy to other ideas, though would need to be in the same bracket (won't buy OEM or EBC)
  7. Is the car mapped? If you've got UpRev or ECUtek then a quick YouTube search will show you how to change map. Do you have any error codes? Even if they only flash temporarily? Could be a limp mode situation? Made any changes to the car lately? Exhaust? Air intake? Messed about with the key?
  8. Hey! Hope you pick one up soon but I'll have to chip in and say a 370Z is definitely the way to go. Especially as prices are so low now.
  9. Trip looked epic! Really interested in the route you took, might be one I copy. Be nice to hear what you do and don't recommend. As always Muxy, I love your car mate! That wrap is the bees knees.
  10. Not condoning finance but with interest rates so low, you could take out a 15k loan for 3 years, buy a car and have money left over for insurance, modding and servicing. . . All with a simple monthly payment.
  11. The interior on the anniversary edition Welcome and hope the car scratches your itch!
  12. Postcode makes a massive difference! I've had some insurers tell me that certain postcodes have are blacklisted. Some insurers will refuse to give a quote and others will just price you out. Don't use it for work, social and pleasure policies are very cheap and specialist insurers will heavily discount if you're a policy holder on another car. Adding a named driver works sometimes but I've also been told it always adds 250 to the policy and then any discounts/premiums are applied from there. Could also get a quote for 3k miles if it's parked up over winter and then ring them spring time and say you wanna increase the mileage.
  13. Who cares what you paid?! Don't over think it and enjoy your pride and joy. Its your baby. Set aside a bit of money and make the car your own. Like Alex said, start a thread introduce yourself and voice your ideas/build thread.
  14. It's actually pretty decent! Shame that you see one or two drivers with more money than talent. Not sure why we need 4 hosts but don't mind the commentary. The cars and tracks are epic. Would love to give it a go.
  15. If you don't have many/any mods you might be lucky. Try Lancaster, Brent Acre, Sky insurance etc. Just Google modified car insurance and see what the specialist insurers can do for you. If you're using it to commute to work, then yes with your age it'll hurt like a b****
  16. Thinking you've had a bad ebough experience to warrant a name and shame. Sorry to hear about the experience but hope the Z gives you the smiles per gallon you deserve.
  17. Like mentioned above, not after a concrete price, just wanna know I can drop it off and pick it up the same day and how long you expect to work on it.
  18. Horsham is the best shout but it's 100 miles away. . . There must be a decent garage around here who can help?
  19. Unfortunately the guys at Cougarstore can't do it atm (one of the guys is off sick) and Tarmac won't give me a figure till I've driven the car to them (won't entertain a quote till then). Times like this I wish went for an M2 or VW Golf - no end in sight for mechanics willing to work on them (not that they need much work doing to prep for track)
