Nice - I've been eyeing up the 3005db for a while now - what do you think of it?

[SOLD]FACELIFT FRONT BUMPER ORANGE REFLECTORS FOR SALE

That's a shame it's a scam - not a lot you can do really. Report it on ebay but it will likely pop back up under a different user name very quickly.

I've run the reg through AutoTrader as if I were creating an Ad, and it doesn't show it as written off. Webuyanycar would value it at £9,135 which makes me a little bit suspicious of the ebay advert - why sell it cheap on ebay if you can sell it for more very easily?
-
Wow that's a seriously good price - my HR I bought 6 months ago with 95k miles cost me £8 grand... Just checked the MOT history and it's never even had an advisory so that's a good start. I believe the early 370z's also suffer from gallery gasket issues, so budget around £800 for this as it will eventually need sorting. Also a lot of people find the exhaust to tame - so you may want to budget for an upgrade at some point if that's your thing. The ebay details show Service History Available: Yes - so double check the service records against the P1/2/3 services due Here's a buyers guide I found linked on the forum: https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/nissan/370z/62591/used-buyers-guide-nissan-370z And here's the ebay page for anyone else curious: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Nissan-370-Z-3-7-GT-Specifications-19-inch-Rays-Forged-Alloys/202574339183?hash=item2f2a5f1c6f:g:cPwAAOSw4SxcSIZK:rk:7:pf:0

How about this "Ridiculously, stupidly, insanely, quick!" Zed: https://ebay.us/6cZfeV And you'll still have a pound left over - happy days
-
You might be right, but I figure as long as you use a high quality pad that you should be okay? Might check on that though before I do any damage
-
I picked up a cheap dual action polisher from Argos for £40 last year, and it did wonders on the black paint on my BMW. Haven't yet had a chance to try it on the Zed but when it's warmer out I plan on doing the whole car.

Looks like you bought @Stevie-Boy's car - looks really good after a wax, I definitely need to do mine

Hansburger: Solar Orange 350Z VQ37HR
Kryptek49 replied to Hansburger's topic in Member Build Projects
Wow, the amount of detail that went into that is crazy - your car looks stunning. -
Probably should have researched this first - followed this and all sorted: https://h-dev.co.uk/350z-reset-proceedure-pedal-dance/?v=79cba1185463 I think the idle was probably high as the previous owner used to have decats fitted but they were removed before I bought it and probably never reset the throttle hence the higher idle.
-
My HR idles at around 900rpm which seems a bit higher than the 7-800 people normally get - does this mean anything? The car is on 99k, mostly stock apart from Cobra catback exhaust, and has been UpRev remapped. I believe that they slightly increase the idle when remapping, but only to about 800, not 900. AC is off.

[SOLD]350z Brodit Phone Mount - brand new

Wheel nuts only go to 110nm which definitely doesn't feel FT - torque wrenches are fairly cheap and well worth it

Still available

Hi all, My drivers side mirror now doesn't open when I get in the car - I have the auto mirror module installed but that isn't the problem. I had noticed it getting slower over the past few weeks and just put it down to the cold. When turning the key on, the mirror moves about 2 mm, then stops. I can push it open from this position about another inch until it won't go any further, and then if I flick the mirror switch open then closed it opens the rest of the way. Is it easy enough to replace the motor? Or could there be another part that's not operating properly? Thanks

Just picked some up - thanks

Hi, yep I've still got these but they've grown on me a bit since I bought the car. I'm not that interested in Tan seats but would still swap for Black ones. Not sure what they are worth if you were to just buy them - the only Black seats on Ebay I can see are currently listed at £320 including postage https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2008-Nissan-350Z-3-5v6-HR-Black-Leather-Heated-and-Electric-Front-Seats/372533124989?_trkparms=aid%3D555017%26algo%3DPL.CASSINI%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D55148%26meid%3D2b5bc0426f60476b9f651ad6f87268b6%26pid%3D100505%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D1%26%26itm%3D372533124989&_trksid=p2045573.c100505.m3226 Feel free to PM me if you're happy with that kind of price.

Idle pressure spec is > 14 PSI - so it seems fine there. (& 2000rpm > 43 PSI) My HR is bang on 30 but it doesn't seem that yours is an issue.
-
Accidentally purchased 2 of these and they are made custom for each order so I'm just selling it on instead of returning it. Brodit item no. 653250 Normally costs about £20 inc. P&P online - I'm asking £14 inc. P&P. Thanks.

Have you followed this guide: http://www.the370z.com/diy-section-do-yourself/37136-diy-fix-your-crappy-parking-brake-make-work.html ? Adjusted mine on my 350z last week (pretty much the same procedure as for the 370) and its 100x better - before I wouldn't have trusted it at all.

DE & Revup have a slightly different exhaust to the HR. DE 03-04 RevUp 05-06 HR 07-09 You want the pre 07 exhausts if you do decide to replace, it's not that complicated

Not a good start - total problems on the MOT: Do not drive until repaired (dangerous defects): Offside Front Tyre has ply or cords exposed (5.2.3 (d) (ii)) Repair immediately (major defects): Exhaust noise is clearly in excess of that emitted by a similar vehicle fitted with a standard silencer in average condition (8.1.1 (a)) Offside Rear Registration plate lamp inoperative in the case of a single lamp or all lamps (4.7.1 (b) (ii)) Exhaust carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle exceeds default limits (8.2.1.2 (b)) Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): Offside Rear Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e)) Nearside Rear Tyre worn close to legal limit/worn on edge (5.2.3 (e)) Nearside Front Anti-roll bar linkage ball joint has slight play (5.3.4 (a) (i)) Nearside Front Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c)) Offside Front Brake pipe corroded, covered in grease or other material (1.1.11 (c)) Offside Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement rear (5.3.4 (a) (i)) Nearside Front Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement rear (5.3.4 (a) (i)) So you'll now likely have a budget tire on the offside front (if they replaced it at all) and will probably need a new exhaust system, or at least one section of it. 2 new rear tyres are also needed soon - but it says worn on edge which implies you may need an alignment too. Brake pipes aren't a massive issue and should be fairly cheap/easy to replace, same with drop links. Suspension arm again isn't a massive issue but can make some funny noises and would be best to replace. As an easy check to see if they have actually done any of this work - are both of your number plate lights actually working, or is one still dead?
