This takes me back. I had a Datsun 260Z +2 in 1979. I paid £850 for it. Gorgeous car. I bought it as a blue rust bucket, rebuilt it as a black (with fibre glass front wings and valance) stunner. I also replaced the straight 6 engine for a non smoky version. I sold it in 1981 for about £3200. How I wish I had kept it. I would think, at todays prices that your car would be worth around £25k - £30K, maybe more. Hopefully you can keep hold of it and enjoy it for a while.

If you phone them straight away and tell them there is a problem, they will know that the issue has been there since purchase and not something you have done since. Then you can book to see them later. Good luck. Cheers, Ken

Hi Toby, It could be a number of things from prop shaft UJ's, suspension bushes, bad fitting exhaust or maybe even bearings. As you have a warranty, I think the best thing to do is to get it back to the garage asap and get them to sort it out. The sooner the better. Good luck with it. Cheers, Ken

Thanks Dan. Had a quote from Adrian Flux today but was quite high. When I told the guy what my renewal price was, he dropped it by £250??? I think I will stay with my original insurers Aviva. Thanks anyway.

Hi all, would much appreciate some advice please regarding insurers for my 370Z GT Edition. My renewal is due in 2 weeks, so I am shopping around for the best prices. Iam 57, have 20 years protected no claims, will only be driving about 3000 miles a year but, as soon as I mention that the car has 2 mods (Ark exhaust & K&N air filters) Nobody will touch me. How do you guys get on re: insurance with all of the mods that your cars have? Cheers, Ken

Don't judge all manual 370Z gearboxes to be the same. Mine is silky smooth in every gear. Try driving a couple more before you decide
