Youtube is your friend at times like this i think. Plenty of sound clips on there of 370's with short tails. You can gauge on there how loud they are and whether or not you think it is tolerable. I've recently had a set of short tails made and mated up to my HKS SSM exhaust (the SSM is roughly the same volume as stock). The car is definitely alot louder but it's still perfectly quiet when driving civilly and absolutely no drone at all on the motorway! It's all down to personal preference really. At only £300 ish for a set of short tails and an hour to swap them over I'd personally say go for it. Worst comes to worst you can always sell them and get a good chunk of your cash back afterwards

Great looking car you have there

@Nso93 Looks awesome that mate! I've been hunting for something like that for ages

@Snjur I had the 12mm anembo axle spacers on mine as well. I never messed about with adding a bit of camber to the rear but I know a few people who put a couple of shims behind the hub to get about 2-3 degrees of camber. How effective it actually is I'm not too sure to be honest! I look forward to hearing your comments about the cams and FF inlet

@mattross1313 ah wow sounds like yours is spot on too! Mine was one of the cheaper plate as well I believe. I think it was around the £300 mark so definitely alot cheaper than most of then out there! Bargain

@davey_83 Yeah I'm very pleased with them mate. I know they're probably not to everyone's taste but they're based off of this car: Its where alot of the inspiration for mine came from really! Absolutely love it. @mattross1313 haha cheers mate! To think I said I'd be keeping it to springs and spacers for the first year of ownership... I've only had it 8 months I'm extremely happy with the plate. Especially since my initials are T J Silvethorn it fits perfectly!

The new exhaust is on! Sounds soo much better now. Still has the same deep tone to it as before but just with a lot more volume! Finally gave it a quick wash as well so it's ready for the new sunstrip and a few pieces to go on tomorrow.

The new bumper is on. Absolutely over the moon with it Off to infinity exhausts tomorrow to have the new rear section made to mate up with the bumper a little better! Then it's just in need of a good wash FYI for anyone considering doing the conversion themselves. You do not need anything other than the bumper and the tow hook cover. Everything bolts up perfectly with all of the original fittings!

@Andy_Muxlow Car looks awesome mate! Out of interest, how do you find the car with the sideskirt extensions/lips? I really want to get myself a set but I figure I'll just cause myself a headache as they'll be too close to the floor... Jacking the car up is already a pain, even with my ultra low-profile jack.

£2k Surely there has to be a cheaper way around the problem than that!

@daveo132 I assume you're talking about these: https://www.350z-uk.com/forum/212-350z-370z-z-emblems-accessories-sales/ You'll find a bunch of threads on there for both the 350z and 370z with colour options in black, silver and chrome. I've got the super black Z badges for my 370 and they're brilliant!

@Umster The car has just ticked past 44,000 miles on the clock. From what I understand it's not hugely common to have issues with the syncros on the 370. it was a much bigger problem on the 350 from what I've read. Some report of having issues with their 370 at sub 10k miles, whereas some people have racked up over 100k and they're still going strong... Just the luck of the draw I guess @ZMANALEX You have a PM
-
@Adrian@TORQEN Out of interest, do your undertrays sit any higher up that the stock plastic undertrays on the 370? They seem to look that way in photos... The stock plastic one seems to hang quite low towards the front of the bumper for no apparent reason and I keep catching it on the floor on some of the bigger bumps in the road...

Hi All, Over the last month or so my gearbox has started to grind when changing into 5th at a normal speed. I can stop it happening by changing gear very slowly but it's starting to get quite annoying. Over the last couple of days it has started happening slightly in 2nd. Pulling away from lights is a bit of a pain now as i have to wait a good second or two before selecting 2nd I changed the gearbox oil a week or so ago and added some molyslip in the hope that It'd make a difference but unfortunately it hasn't. My question would be, what would people who've experienced this recommend? A 2nd hand box? new box from Nissan? Gearbox rebuild? I'm leaning towards getting the box rebuilt and syncros replaced and I've already spoken to some gearbox specialists local to me for quotations. If I'm going to be doing that i may as well replace clutch and csc to save the hassle in the future. I'll probably get a lightened flywheel while on the car at this time as well since that's something on the list of things i want to do. Obviously this soon all adds up very quickly! Either way i know it's probably going to be expensive but any guidance on this would be great. Any rough idea on pricing would also be very helpful. Thanks in advance Tom

Took delivery of this the other day I dropped it over to Bodyworx to be painted a few days ago so i should hopefully have it back by the weekend! I also had a personalised plate for my birthday the other day so went about fixing my magnets behind the bumper to ensure the plate stayed on properly... All fixed now and working Forgot to get a photo of the plate once i actually put it on though I've already started looking at wheels again as well I think I'm going to keep my current wheels for winter months and at some point in the new year I'm going to start the hunt for a set of Work T7R's in white. Spotted this car on Instagram a month or so ago and absolutely fell in love with it. I've always loved white wheels on a black car so i think I'm going to have scratch the itch soon @Tomh94 if you ever plan on selling your wheels, PLEASE get in touch

My friend had a similar issue on his R32 with his Seibon bonnet. He's only had the bonnet for about 6-8 months and it is already beginning to show early signs of UV wear due to the very hot summer we had. Quite disappointing really as I'd hoped to get a Seibon bonnet paired up with Fly1's carbon fenders but I can't justify over £1000 in outlay for it only to need repairing less than a year later

All down to personal preference I guess. I'd have a mk1 over a mk2 without a shadow of a doubt as IMO it's the better looking of the two; the mk2 still looks awesome in person, I just much prefer the styling of the mk1. You'll see a lot more mk2 Nismos compared to the MK1 so it has an exclusivity factor to it as well. They're also the cheaper option... Saying that, things like the seats in the Nismo has vastly improved from the MK1 to the MK2 as well as a few other bits and pieces. Either way though I don't think you can go wrong whichever you choose!

Why The 370Z Is Still The Best New RWD Coupe (Review

Watched this after it popped up in my YouTube suggestions the other day. Great video -

Swapped the 15mm spacers on the rear to 25mm spacers. It's fair to say I definitely won't be going any bigger. The fitment couldn't be any more perfect. No rubbing whatsoever as the wheel cambers in just enough to clear at arch under compression
