Typo....bucketing down!!!

I've now took the plunge and had the car glass coated (Gen3). Looks absolutely perfect - had to smile as when I drove it away from the company that did it the rain was bickering down and the car was pretty much bone dry!

Rec'd my renewal a week ago.... Direct Line wanted nearly £1100 on a multi car policy. Rang Admiral, quoted on a lower excess, 9 years NCD, 51 years old.......... £546.00. Goodbye Direct Line!! Also maybe another car over..... decreased premium from £504 to £270.00

Doesn't the Nismo dual flow pipe work need to drop down to a single pipe to pick up the catback hence the need for the y section?? Or do the presence of the test pipes take away the need for the y section???

I took delivery of mine on Friday just gone and despite asking twice if the spacers had been removed and being told "definitely yes" I discovered during a visit to Tarmac Sportz yesterday that there were 3 spacers on each of the front springs!!! Deffo have it checked.

And I followed Bob onto the ramp and he did mine also. Great sound, better than the Cobra Catback I had on my old GT. forgive the protective plastic on the chrome tips!!! Cheers Bob.

Donk....had the Tarmac Sportz short tails fitted today. Absolutely no apparent impact on performance. Having had the Cobra Cat Back fitted on the GT I can compare exactly. The short tails are a deeper tone, lovely and grumbly and I would deffo rate it better than the Cobra. Little louder than the Cobra but deeper sound so doesn't sound so harsh. I went for the Tarmac Sportz version short tails rather than the AAM.... I would recommend 100% and Bob and the team were great up at Tarmac Sportz. Thanks gents. Top job!

I don't think it'll negatively impact the performance however I'm no expert and will happily bow to those with more experience... Payco could be a good reference point???

Hi Donk, I've been speaking to Tarmac Sportz as I've recently chopped in my GT for a new Nismo. I've taken the Cobra Cat back off the GT... planning to maybe drop it onto the Nismo - Tarmac explained I'd need the y-pipe section as the standard cat-back would not fit he Nismo Dual flow. I've now decided to sell the Cobra (for sale on the forum in the 370z parts section) and do for the short tails instead. They're being fitted on Tuesday.

Anyone interested?? Will be advertising elsewhere later today.

Just had a chat with the guys at Tarmac Sportz... they've pointed me towards the resonated short tail exhaust, must admit even on the iPad the change in tone etc is impressive. Anyone had first hand experience of them??? As has been mentioned in several threads you do get a 60mph drone with the Cobra..... hasn't really bothered me that much tbh but wondering if you get anything from the short tails?? next job...... sell the Cobra Cat-Back!!!

Sad..... and happy day! waving goodbye to the roadster, had a very enjoyable 12 months spent on the roads of Shropshire.... but sparkly new pearl white Nismo ordered to be collected next Saturday. taking the Cobra system off the GT but should I stick with Nismo exhaust or drop the Cobra on???
