Just confirmed my 2017 370Z has a steering lock. I thought it did as the steering wheel jiggles a bit when you turn the ignition on.

Postman delivered the module this morning.

On my previous car it was dealer only and they would only code new keyfobs purchased from them. Second hand was a No No but perhaps Nissan are different.

Payment sent.

You rarely get something for nothing, more protection in this case led to more corrosion and if one came off whilst driving bodywork damage could happen. Personally, despite having had one refurb due to a tight corner in a multi storey car park I will stick with naked wheels.

Would Nissan have to do their stuff with the TPMS senders or would they have to be swapped with the original ones by a tyre place? Don't worry about answering by the time I have added postage and TPMS swaps I reckon I will be definately better off retaining my current powdercoated 18"s. Well certainly better off by at least £1500+ anyway. Good luck with the sale.

To be fair, I expect my Insurance company to offer their best quote initially and I shouldn't really have to contact them to achieve a better renewal quote. Clearly, this doesn't happen which to me is not right. If I went to a supermarket and queried the price of a product should I expect a 30% decrease? And TBH am I not an existing valued customer that they want repeat business from?

Thats Ilogikal. Seems like daylight robbery to me. I stupidly expect insurance companies to give me the best quote first time rather than devoting half of my day off day on hold, on my mobile phone, to achieve this.

Must be an EU thing as it seems American/Canadian owners have two position switches for the passenger window fitted as standard.

For the past two years I have been insured with Hastings Direct and come renewal time they send me an email with a renewal quote. On both occasions they have been eye wateringly high. However, after spending a considerable time on hold on both occasions they then happily check the details and reduce the price for the same policy by a considerable amount. This year the email quote was £433 which they then reduced to £301 for identical cover. Why do they do this? It certainly doesn't enhance the car insurance industries reputation, especially when comparison websites show their "true" policy quotes.

If anyone else wants to replace their map lights with LED's I recently bought these EXACT FIT LED PANELS from Ebay USA. I admit they weren't cheap with postage and import costs but I liked the idea of exact fit LED panels (I wasn't so fussy about the trunk bulb). Perhaps someone can find a UK supplier but I didn't. On the downside I felt I had to shorten the connecting wires so they were more easily hidden and also replace the double sided tape which was a huge pad which left no recess for the excess wire (Unlike shown in the fitting video). On the plus side the LED panels are a good fit and EXTREMELY bright especially as I am using clear GTR map lenses (Which also increases the total maplight mod overall cost to a silly amount ).

I would try a window reset first. 1. Shut the car doors & turn on ignition. 2. Raise the window to the fully closed position. 3. Press the button to open the window completely and keep the button pressed down for a further 15 seconds. 4. Raise the window to the fully closed position and keep the button pulled up for a further 15 seconds.

I had standard floorlights that came on with my interior lights in my Focus RS Mk2. Thats fine and easily sorted by linking them to the interior light surely thats enough.

I actually like the polished lips and agree that spacers are the way forward.

I prefer non diamond cut wheels but looking at your picture there is a distinct ridge on each spoke where the diamond cut portion starts. IMHO and its only personal preference that ridge should have been removed prior to painting.

AFAIK that is just a reflector and there are no door lights.

Great mod. I immediately pulled my switches and now I have auto up on the passenger window. Does make me wonder why Nissan deliberately disabled the function. Thanks for posting.

Sounds good but need to look at my work rota for April before committing.

Although they have had a short life they look like they have had a hard life. Shouldn't they have two gaskets rather than the one shown??

AFAIK the CANBUS sends signals down the wires so the system available for the 350Z will not work and prevents anything similar working on the 370Z.

Anyone else staying at the Holiday Inn Express Northampton - South ? I will be there Saturday and Sunday night and no doubt be found at the hotel bar in the evenings.
