  1. Maybe 4 years on but I'm having this problem. I got the car back from the garage and couldn't select 5th and 6th without sliding the shifter back to the middle a bit. So looked at the plate and moved over all the way and made no difference. Then I realised the small piece that is on the right if the gear stick which is supposed to line up with the metal plate is on the other side so it's on the left side like my whole sticks in backwards. Can anyone shed any light on it? Not sure if it's wrong or not.
  2. If it pisses down we could go to my house just down the road f there's like 6 or less cars
  3. Glad your moving it back, only just seen this but I'm up for it
  4. So it's been a while.... Let's get a meet going and possible drive somewhere
  5. As above. I have a new slave cylinder, new line and fluid. Been told it Is a pain in the ass to bleed and I'm not confident in doing it myself. Anybody near by who is confident with them who would like the job for cash?. Or know anybody who might be interested? Located in cheltenham/gloucester
  6. Hi guys I've tried searching for this problem all weekend but only find people with other faults and symptoms so here we go... I had this problem twice before about a year ago and never figured out the problem but it's cone back! Driving at very sensible speeds and on a very very slight right hand bend ((not sure about left hand bends)) my stability light flashes up, my brake pedal goes hard and my steering goes funny like it's jumping forward despite turning. Happens for about 2-3 seconds. Any ideas? In thinking and hoping its an ABS sensor. My tyres will need changring soon but they are not the problem as I said before I had this problem last year. TIA
  7. Last year I had oil leaking into my plugs so had the rocker covers off and had the plug wells re-sealed which worked well as a temporary fix. One of the wells has started leaking again. Came across two preowned covers at a good price so bought them. Is there any checks I can make to see if they are good to go? Don't want to fit them to find the same problem. TIA
  8. Shared on Facebook forum so hopefully a few more will come through here
  9. Hi guys. Last week i was driving my car quite hard and my engine light came on. My fault reader came up with P1274 - Air/fuel ratio sensor 1. About 2 weeks ago I took my throttle body and air intake off for a clean as it was filthy and wasn't running quite right. Drives fine now but as I took the throttle body of it came clear to me that it's probably a 'one fit' gasket which I didn't replace. Anyway looking into the different reasons why this code would come up ive seen that the car running rich (too much air to fuel) can be due to intake gaskets.. would that really be enough to throw a code a week or 2 later? These are the possible faults: Faulty Air fuel ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 Bank 1 Air fuel ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 Bank 1 harness is open or shorted Air fuel ratio (A/F) Sensor 1 Bank 1 circuit poor electrical connection Fuel pressure Faulty Fuel injector Faulty Air Flow Meter Hoping its not an injector! Cheers guys!
