  1. Thanks I thought so. Not looking forward to taking the bumper off to sort.
  2. Hi, as I understand, it is an MOT requirement to have a rear fog light. Firstly, am I wrong? I know of some imported Japanese cars that have them fitted specifically for the MOT? I bought my car with the ijdmtoy smoked rear LEDs fitted. The running lights are wired in to the sidelights and the "bright" mode is set up for braking. Not uncommon. However it means I now have no rear fog. I bought my car this month just gone through MOT, no mention of the fogs? So that is why I'm asking. Assuming this is gonna cause me a problem I would like "bright mode" to be wired in to the fog switch rather than brake lights anyone know how to do this?
  3. Ello. I'll be getting one of these sooner or later so may as well put out the feelers out. Looking for a rocket bunny duck tail rep, or in the style of.... To fit 350z. Preferably black but I can paint. Similar to below.
  4. Can you restrict map to just signed in members? I've avoided the GPS feature, just pinned myself in a field in my town. Haha I'm well happy with the feature.
  5. On lappy, just right click the point on the map you want to pin and 'create location'.
  6. Perfect for traders too. Always nice to see where HQ is!
  7. Wow! That was quick! Must have some pretty awesome admins/techs on here. This will be a really cool forum app. All seems to be working great for me. Just need to get some more locations tagged on it now and find some friendZ. Haha
  8. Maybe this has been suggested already, maybe it's not possible, but could there be some sort of map based on where members are from (if disclosed)? I'm not talking specific addresses for obvious reasons but maybe just nearest towns? I only just realised @G1en was pretty local to me. Hi Glen. I have not seen another Z on the road up here since I bought one (from Coventry, where I saw 2 on the test drive). I think maybe you could use it to find members in your area and ask them what bodyshop they have used locally and if it's any good etc? Or maybe find someone local that has a front lip you like fitted and you want to see it in flesh. Stuff like that. Example. You shouldn't have to give a location obviously but anyone else think it would be good?

    Oil grade

Oil should have its own forum on here! It could have sub-sections for grade, reading levels, plight of the dipstick. Haha. I'm new to Zeds but I'm on 115k DE Uprev and running 5w 30 FS. I'm maybe ready for switch 10w? It won't be long before the folks that know what they are talking about are along to help us.

    Stubby/Claybar

I have some PB Nattys white which I used for my old car (silver mx5) I actually put this on after the pic (I didn't want it to kill the sheen before I got a pic) but I don't have any blue for the dark car at the mo.
  11. OK... having seen this I DEFINITELY need a splitter. Love a black Z!
  12. Get some pics up when you aquire.

    Stubby/Claybar

Heyo! This weekend I fitted my stubby aerial and treat my car with a claybar and polish, well the bits of it that were worthy! Didn't bother claying the bonnet and front bumper as they are totally shredded at the moment. Roof is also starting to develop rust spots so... I'll be getting a front lip and then having those things painted. Maybe? Front bumper group buy is tempting tho... I used: Dodo Juice bar and born slippy lube. Poorboys Black Hole polish. Lots of effort. Here's a lovely pic for you.
  14. Gee, Now you mention it, the name does seem kinda familiar...
  15. Maybe I know you from the HK forum?
  16. I think I'm in this gang. Mines a slight noise when in neutral or clutch depressed. I'd like to say it's gone when gears engaged but I cant really hear it over the exhaust, it's only a quiet noise. Gear changes are fine. Clutch seems good. Anyway, just dipping my bread to keep updated on this thread.
  17. Mines on the way too! Surely the seller must be wondering whats going on!
  18. It's fantastic, I go the long way everywhere and to hell with the fuel cost! Haha. I've topped oil up to H on account of these cars getting through a fair bit. I've zero'd my trip and will see how much I've gone through at 1k. Keeping a regular check of it in between to make sure of no disasters. Assuming oil consumption is manageable I'll drop the lot and put something decent in. Scratching up the measure range on the dipstick with rough sandpaper really helps the oil grip to get a proper reading. Just make sure you get rid of all filings properly before putting it back in. I've had the dipstick in and out about 20 times the last 2 days so I can thread it almost every 3rd attempt now.
  19. Thanks everyone, I've just stuck a ltr in and given it 15mins, and yea, I've got reading in the range. I'll check it again in morning when it's properly settled and top up a bit more if necessary. I'll probably get a great night's sleep now worrying about how it was so low in the first place...
  20. Thank you. I'll top up before I go anywhere tomorrow. What about the oil light, at what point does that come on?
  21. Forgive me for posting another oil question, I've searched the forum and there is a wealth of info on here regarding oil but none that answer my specific question which is: Do I need oil? I'm a new owner and I'm only used to having cars with functional dipsticks. It's in a crappy awkward place yes but I just need some advice from you veterans/experienced owners about my readings. Firstly im using fully synthetic 5-30 which is what seems mostly suggested on here although I am on 115k miles so should I change? Second how the EFFING hell are you supposed to read it? I took one reading below when the engine was 48hrs cold (red text) as you can see there is barely anything on the stick. And it's different both sides. Labelled front (FR) as this has the H&L marks, and back (BK) as they even give different readings. I'd say theres no oil in it looking at the FR pic (there is) . The next pic (blue txt) I took 15mins after running and there is oil over the stick. The oil psi idles at a bit below 30 and is pretty consistently 60 under reasonable load. Also we have oil lights (I checked it works) surely that would come on if it was too low? I need to drive it to work tomorrow but I'll take oil with me incase you guys are screaming put oil in NOW. I just need some newbie help. Please, PLEASE.
