Tyre for spare wheel Bridgestone TRR 155/80/18 - FREE to good home
Bunning replied to Bunning's topic in 370z Parts For Sale
Can’t give things away these days, any takers? -
Yeah it's a bit tumbleweed! I think i'm going to go anyway as it's so close to me, but i'll buy a ticket on the gate just in case they decide to cancel last minute, like Japfest!

Hi all, I bought a spare wheel for my 370Z from ebay and it came fitted with this tyre as it was previously installed in an Infiniti. The 370Z spare tyre recommendation is slightly smaller (145/70/18) so I had it swapped out but the tyre on it was too good to throw away. Anyway... this is just gathering dust in my garage so I'm offering it for free to anyone who wants it. Perfect if you have certain Infinitis or if you are happy to run a spare with a slightly larger tyre (maybe if you have larger alloys you want to match the rolling radius of?) COLLECTION ONLY from NW Kent (near junction 3 of M25) as you can appreciate as I'm giving it away I don't want the hassle of packaging and sending.

Is anyone still intending to go to this?

Hi welcome! I did a lot of research before buying mine, even though I was moving up from a 350Z. Weak points of note are: Steering Lock Mechanism on earlier models (around 2009 - 2011 I believe) these can stop you starting the car if they fail, most have been replaced or people just pull the fuse to disable the unit Gallery gaskets again on earlier models are prone to failure as I think the earlier ones weren't metal. You can find a lot of info on both searching this forum. With your budget I'd aim if you can to get a late 2011 model at least, there were some revisions to suspension, soundproofing etc you also get a rear parking camera and TPMS on the late 2011 onwards. There was a slight face lift again (around 2014 I believe), you may be able to pick up a 2014 plus model but it'd be high mileage with that budget, I just had a look out of curiosity on autotrader myself and there's a 64 plate 370Z (base model though not GT) with 105,000 miles up for £11k. Hope that helps a bit, but my advice is to have a good read on the forums! B

This is now on retention so ready to assign immediately if anyone is interested.

Yesterday about quarter to seven in the evening saw a nice (very clean) 350Z going round the roundabout, I think you took the junction to join the A20 towards London. I was sitting at the lights coming into the roundabout from Swanley in my Z. I think the passenger saw me! Anyone on here?

Nice! My car’s twin

Hi Steve, Welcome, I owned a 2005 350Z (now in a 370) and shortly after purchasing mine developed a drone type whirring from the back which turned out to be a wheel bearing, it wasn't too expensive to fix. If you got it from a garage it may be worth getting them to check it out if you have any kind of warranty. Although I'm often in Bristol (well near Bristol - Thornbury) for work I can't comment on any bodyshops in that area, I'll let others do that! Nice looking Zed by the way, I know you've mentioned a few dings but it looks good in the pic! B

Thanks Adrian I wondered when the event planned for March would be rescheduled I missed this

What’s going on at Torqen that day?
-
There's a thread on here for the black editions, I had a quick look at the list and 64 doesn't seem to be mentioned so maybe not been a members car before! Hope this helps
-
Welcome, I'm in Kent too, maybe see you around!

I’d second that, their kits aren’t cheap but the colour match is perfect and come with all bits to do a good job l. I’ve touched up a few deeper chips on mine and although you can see it because of the depth it’s really not noticeable unless you look closely

Any interest before I put this up for auction?

Did you get back home alive? @KCook -
Just out of interest what's the mileage on your car? I have a 61 plate 370 but very low mileage and mine still has (presumably) the original steering lock mechanism although looking at it it's the later revised version so hopefully it'll last. I've toyed with pulling the fuse but haven't bothered, my thoughts were, if (when) it packs up i'd just replace it with the Nissan bypass module, which in itself is an admission by Nissan that these are rubbish! Torqen sell them: https://www.torqen.uk/nissan/370z/engine/electronics/21661-370z-nissan-oem-steering-wheel-lock-bypass-09-11-48708-9n00a.html?search_query=370z+Nissan+OEM+Steering+Wheel+Lock+Bypass+09-11&results=1

@LBow350Z Yes I've seen that one too, it's just by the roundabout where the two shops are too (dry cleaners I believe) I take it you are local to Kent too then? -
Sorry mine is manual too!

They seem to be everywhere around me lately! Or I’m just out a lot for work! Black 60 plate 370Z turning in to Harbour Exchange about 11am this morning. It had a nasty ding in the passenger door. Anyone on here?
-
@ShortPaul it certainly doesn’t mean anything to me, but presumably it would appeal to someone with the initials VJM
-
When I bought my 370 it had a private plate already on it (R111 VJM) however I already have a plate which was on my 350 (now on retention) hence this is up for sale. I have had it advertised with CarReg for about six months who valued it at £500 which I think is too much but I won’t get that after their commission anyway! Im looking for £200 for the plate and I’ll include the transfer cost in that (which is £80 anyway, which means you effectively get it for £120) the closest registrations I have seen to this range from £250 to £599 (direct from DVLA) I will consider sensible offers from forum members.
