  2. It's a 2012 GT Edition. Can't remember the mileage off the top of my head, around 40k. Next stop is cold air intakes.
  3. My discs were lipped so they needed to be changed, decided to change the pads (nearly worn) and the brake lines too. Whilst I had it all out I gave the wheel wells a good clean and decided to refurbish some of the brackets and bolts, etc., as-well-as the calipers, dampers, and coil springs. Here's how it turned out. How it started Caliper guide pin (before ultrasonic cleaning) Caliper cross spring (before ultrasonic cleaning) Caliper guide pin (after ultrasonic cleaning) Caliper cross springs (after ultrasonic cleaning) Calipers painted New pads installed Calipers fully back togethe Front coil springs prepped for painting Finished front coil springs Coilover back together with new stainless steel braided brake lines attached Front drivers side finished with refurbished coilover, new brake lines, new brake disc + pads, and refurbished caliper. A better view of the new discs and refurbished calipers
  4. Haha, yeah the guy initially misunderstood me and tried to source a new set of rear coils from Japan but couldn't get any. I think the reason they say they need replacing is because they have stops on the nut stopping you from tightening them too far, guess they can wear away. Mine looked okay though, bit rusty but I ultrasonic cleaned them and they look brand new now.
  5. Managed to get through to "local" Nissan parts department, said the same as @ZMANALEX that the nuts only need replacing if they are perished.ZMANALE X
  6. Okay, I assumed they needed replacing as they were like nylon locking nuts or something
  7. Does anyone know where I can find the nuts mentioned on page 8 of the service manual (RSU) when removing the rear coil spring? Closest I've managed to find is: https://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/genuine-nissan-350z-03-09-370z-09-20-rear-upper-shock-nut.html But that references a "Rear upper shock nut" rather than "Rear lower link mounting nuts". Thanks
  8. Yeah I am changing the brakes at the moment so will fiddle with the suspension and see if I can clean it up and re-bed it
  9. It's less over harsh bumps, it's more noticeable over uneven ground. To me it seems to happen more when the rear rotates about the main axis
  10. Nah it isn't a click or thunk; its a squeek I can only decribe as a muffled dogs toy.
  11. Hey, I've had my new 370 for a few weeks now and there is an annoying squeek coming from the rear (I think). It seems to be more prominent when going over bumping terrain (UK roads 😒). I'm replacing my brakes soon so I'll have a chance at looking at the suspension and under the car whilst it is up on jacks. Are there any known issues or anything specific I should look out for to try and diagnose and fix the noise? My current guesses are something suspension or bushing related with the rear diff / sub-frame. Thanks
  12. Ah yes I do remember reading or watching something about wedging the brake pedal down though couldn't remember the reason they did it or how it helped their situation. I bought an Eezibleed to pressure bleed it with the new fluid once the new lines are connected to the calipers, just wasn't sure how to stop the whole system draining whilst working on the lines (as I imagine it will take me a while to get all 4 done). The calipers will also be off for a few days as they are getting refurbished so again didn't know if it was best to just bleed the whole thing dry to stop the fluid oozing over my drive for a few days. Also read about the pain of the ABS like you say, so really don't want to have to be in that predicament.
  13. I ended up selling my old 370z when I moved a few years back, but now I got the chance to buy another one.
  14. Hi, Just bought new brake rotors, pads, braided lines, & DOT4 fluid. Does anyone know of any guides to replacing all the above components? All I have is the service manual, but it is American (LHD). For example, is the bleed order opposite (left- swapped with right-side?) Will I also need to remove all the brake fluid and then re-fill from dry as I'll be removing the calipers and the old lines? Or is it possible to replace all the components and bleed the rest of the old fluid out when replacing with the new fluid (i.e. without having to bleed the system completely dry). Thanks in advance
