  1. Unsure on location for this thread so hope here is okay... Just bought a stage 1 exedy clutch kit for my DE 350z as I'm predicting that being the next maintenance item for the car! Also been looking at flywheels, anyone had any experience with this RPC single mass flywheel? Open to opinions and reviews on upgrading the clutch and flywheel appreciated too! http://www.tegiwaimports.com/select-car/nissan/350z/drivetrain/exedy-racing-single-series-stage-1-organic-clutch-kit-nissan-350z-skyline-vq35de.html http://www.tegiwaimports.com/rpc-lightweight-chromoly-flywheel-nissan-350z.html
  2. Loving them wheels, excellent choice Certainly making it stand out even more than a pearl white Nismo does already
  3. My z is lowered 30mm on Eibach springs with 20mm and 25mm spacers
  4. Good effort for a manual lathe Love to see other people's machining efforts for their cars
  5. Definitely looking forward to seeing these on the car

  7. Great looking car, someone's loved it Love the wheels... must resist buying some
  8. Nice to see another sunset orange Z! Looks like a gooden
  9. Looks like someone's got the bug Make yourself a build thread in the 350z section and keep us all posted on your car from there! Suspension next if you ask me
  10. Morale of the story: if you have plenty of tread on your tyres after a few years... drive the car a bit harder to get the most out of them
  11. Still look at the 350z and think it's a great looking car and a lot more intriguing and interesting to look at than the 335, which puts me off massively. There's a supercharged z on eBay for under 10k at the moment and it makes me much more interested than an equally priced 335, so I may have answered my own question Maybe when I've grown up a bit more, I'm still enjoying the 350z and for the money, I don't think you can't beat them!
  12. ^^ let the throwing of more money at the car commence You'll enjoy a new exhaust, I can promise that

  15. I would definitely, the HR cars are different to the earlier ones and have the slave cylinder inside the bellhousing/gearbox so whilst the gbox is all out it's best to do it all! I'm sure some of the traders do full kits for around £800 and labour I would guess half a day to a full day
  16. Don't hold me to this but for something steel and non fragile like the W brace, you'd be fine tightening up the bolts with a ratchet. Can always drop a bit of loctite on the threads if you're worried about them coming out, but doubt it will go anywhere
  17. That sounds like a typical scenario of clutch slip! Normally tested by a high gear pull to see if the clutch can handle the torque the engine puts on it. It's recommended for the whole lot to be done, clutch kit, flywheel, slave cylinder, braided line and new fluid obviously. The zeds have dual mass flywheels as standard which can fail, so a lot of people replace with an upgraded, lighter single mass flywheel which is cheaper and "revs up" quicker. Not a cheap one by any means and I'm definitely not looking forward to having to do this to my Z
  18. The standard wheels are et30, so I would say definitely! You want to be looking for less than standard offsets if you want the wheels to sit "more flush" with the wheel arch A lot of people put 20mm spacers on the standard wheels which in effect makes the wheel have an offset of et10 Wheel widths are also needed to accurately work out desired offsets.
  19. Without going into too much of a story, has anyone driven or previously owned a 335i? Want to compare it to my 350z as a potential next car! Loving the Z of course, but always fancied something with a bit of boost and class Random PFA
  20. Motordyne ART Pipes are the way forward for someone looking for a bit extra in their exhaust... simple! Although minimal, gains proven power wise and the sound is incredible without a "chavvy" or raspy noise... 100% recommended, only draw back is typical exhaust fume smell and won't pass a genuine MOT
  21. Some good mods going already! Looks like you're enjoying it, I'll definitely be after some side steps soon they look spot on
  22. Above 43psi at 2000rpm too is a good check and above 57psi at 6000rpm figures straight from the handbook
