  1. Thanks for the link, I've been looking for a UK source for LHD mats! Star! Obviously, I haven't used them yet, but I'm gunna!
  2. Sorry if this has been answered before, I'm at the office and don't have time to read the whole thread (but I will later), I just wanted to ask...Those nismo wheels on the first page...omg! What are tehy called and where can I get them (if they're like rocking horse poo, I'll accept that, I'm just curious)!? Thanks,
  3. Don't look at it like that, look at it as an opportunity to put a lighter flywheel in.
  4. I replaced clutch disc, pressure plate and bearing (and flywheel while I was in there, but not relevant to this topic) for just over 200 quid for parts and about another 250 labour from a local independent who has Z experience. Here is the clutch kit I bought... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261870422161
  5. Brembos 500 (600 with discs, pads, lines and backing plates) Seats 500 if in good condition Interior bits (center console upper and lower, shifter mechanism, sound system/bose sub and amp another 500 Steering wheel if good (if not give it a refurb) 150 Engine 1000 due to mileage, good rebuild project for someone Gearbox for repair 250 Rays stock wheels 300-500 depending on condition and tyres Suspension arms and struts (if bushes are good) another 250 Bonnet 200 (just a guess? I'd pay 200 quid for an HR bonnet) Diff if its in good shape 200 Headlights 500 any day of the week... That's about 4 and a half grand and you've still got loads of odds and sods. Head says break it, heart says fix it.
  6. If you did that in your car, it would be sticky FOREVER, no matter how many times it was biologically cleaned.

  9. Hi n welcome, a chap after my own heart, I bought a horribly abused Zed but it's getting there slowly!
  10. The best dance act ever (and I was 22 and living in central london in 1999, so for me, that's saying something).
  11. How on earth did that happen? lolloolloololol. This was in my recent content! Doh! Thanks for the pointer. How embarrassing. EDIT: Hey, at least I updated the thread with a nice deep dish option in a 900 quid budget for the next person searching. lol.
  12. Sorry for not bothering to read the thread and if these have been suggested before, but since I was recently on a similar mission, I had spotted Japan Racing JR23, should just about get 19s into budget...there are a couple of JR distis on the forum, I think tarmacsportz is one of them. Alternatively, the same wheel is available from XXR, the 521 model. image linked from a-zperformance.com
  13. While it's usually safer to wear a seatbelt, there are occasions when its better to be thrown from the car if/when it rolls or crashes at speed, I know two people (one of them my father, fell asleep at the wheel of a lotus doing about 90mph in the 70s) who were ejected from their cars and it saved their lives. If they had been pinned in the cars, well, lets just say spider in a jar of nails. Both spent 6 months in hospital with terrible injuries, but it is widely believed by all involved that they would have been worse off if they were in the car for the duration of the incidents. Particularly my father, thrown from the car during a roll, a split second later the car was wrapped round a tree like tinfoil (70s lotus), he would not have survived, and I would not exist! Note how few (apparent) injuries were suffered by those who fell off their wagons...its weird.
  14. No, I just like the way they look, and want to know if they fall under my arbitrary 10kg limit, which isn't so crazy, believe me, with this spoke pattern. There are even a couple of Rotas that do.
  15. There are a few traders on here, personally, I've dealt with Jon@Emperor and ZMANALEX and found them both to be top blokes always willing to help out. I have not yet failed to source a single part I needed (and it's quite a list), second hand (you can often choose mileage of part!) in awesome condition, for ridiculously cheap. Just buy it and start fixing it, you know you want to. Parts and price of such won't be an issue.
  16. I agree they look epic on the right Zed. Exactly like that, single piece, black with DEEP shiny dish. Perfect wheel for an RB.
  17. I hate you guys Mine was MUCH worse than that, think doubly abused with double the mileage, and I paid 8 grand! And I was pleased! #itslikelivingonanotherplanetsometimeslol
  18. Saw these today and thought of you. http://www.jdmdistro.com/shop/19-wheels/new-work-meister-s1r/ DO IT DO IT DO IT!
  19. With the greatest of respect, I don't completely agree Firstly, if I was worried about weights I wouldn't be looking at 19s at all, but also, I should never remove my stock Rays, they are the same weight as Enkei RPF1s at the same size. Anybody fitting RPF1 in 19" or above is going to a MUCH less optimal wheel, since every kilo of unsprung weight you save, is worth 8 times that amount of weight above the springs. So, for example, if I swapped my stock Rays for 19" RPF1, the car will feel as though it has gained 32 kilos. Some might not notice it, but I would. RPF1s, for the record, are not forged. Basically, I have a self-imposed, for largely arbitrary reasons (mainly peace of mind that I'm not running wheels that take away from the car's nature or are badly sub-optimal) 10 kilo (22.2lb) wheel weight limit on the Z, and I am also very picky about wheel styles, and this is one I like a lot. Not having the 4 grand required to buy the genuine Weds upon which these wheels are based (they also kinda look like Advan RZ), which are coincidentally one of the lightest wheels there is period, I was very curious what the weight of these is, since the design itself lends itself to very low overall weight. I know it won't be close, spun cast vs true forged is no comparison, but my curiosity was piqued. What I really want to know is if these in 19" are the same weight as the touring rays. If they are, I'll be putting them on the wishlist. I'd like to repeat my request please, if it's not too much trouble. If you don't wanna, it's ok!
  20. You could so easily have just said that condom was found under the seat as well, but I guess hindsight is always 20-20. Lol
