  1. I'd suggest starting with RS-R springs which have a very mild 0.5" drop, so won't affect the ride comfort much or limit the practicality of the car, but still remove a good chunk of the arch gap. If she wants it to go lower, then add front / side splitters (or lips / a bodykit). This will make the car look even lower without having to compromise further on ride comfort.
  2. Super strong and flexible. Worth scuffing up the surface and de-greasing before applying though to get a good bond. 292i is double strength 291i, but is more expensive. I've got a tube of 291i and will be using it to attach ~5Kg of aluminium rear louvres.
  3. Coilovers are undoubtedly better, but you're going to be spending an absolute minimum of £600, probably closer to £1k, rather than £200 for a set of springs. Considering it's purely for aesthetics, I personally couldn't justify that extra cost if I was in your position. If she will be doing lots of track time or hard driving, then that's a different matter. However, if she wants to go super low while still being able to tackle even the biggest speedbumps, then air would be the best option - but that's even more expensive.
  4. Don't forget the diff bushes. Will massively improve shifting and eliminate wheel hop too.
  5. Did mine to 90 I think and haven't had any issues. Even if they do come lose, they can't fall off.
  6. Check my list, the RS-Rs are only ~0.5" so will be a safe bet and leave you with half an inch to spare. Teins are your next best option, should be fine everywhere, but you will be nearing the limit and have to be careful..
  7. According to Torqen, the drops are (Front / Rear in "): Megan - 1.75 / 1.5 DNA - 1.75 / 1.5 Tein - 0.9 / 0.7 Eibach - 1.0 / 0.8 H&R - 1.3 / 1.0 Tanabe NF210 - 0.8 / 1.0 RS-R - 0.5 / 0.5 Tanabe GF210 - 0.8 / 1.0 Ark GT-F - 1.2 / 1.0 Swift - 1.3 / 1.0 Ark GT-S - 1.5 / 1.25 Sorted by price in ascending order from £164 to £324.
  8. There's also Tanabe, ARK, Megan and Eibach springs to name a few. However, Teins are favoured due to a lesser drop which won't screw you every time there is a pebble in the road.
  9. They work with OEM dampers. Tein are a very common choice for springs.
  10. I'd just get some Tein springs with a modest drop. You can go lower, but it starts to be a pain. I don't think the benefit of full coilovers will be apparent.

MW was my first, and I think that goes a long way. Loved the car list too. SLR...

Was just called "Need for Speed" I believe. I skipped out most of them and just kinda stopped playing games

The drifting in Carbon was a bit pants, but was decent in Shift. By then I had a G27 wheel setup, so good times were had.

Get out. You can't possibly pick Pro Street over Most Wanted (the original), Underground 2, and even Shift (1 & 2).

  16. But you get to hoon around Scotland, so it's totally worth it Make a holiday of it
  17. Or take a road trip up and swap it out while you're there?
  18. Do Slaters provide free alterations on shirts?
  19. Thought about getting one tailored, but have no idea of the price. Presumably they'd just take in the sides and add / increase the darts.
  20. If you take of the wheel and arch liner off you should be able to get a clamp round the front bit. Then get another couple clamps on the inside of the bumper. You can always get a faster setting adhesive too
  21. No reason you can't just tigerseal / sikaflex the whole thing, screws just add a bit more (unnecessary) security. Screws can go in the wheel arch and / or underneath if you want.
