  1. :lol; I did consider the Monaro when looking for a Z, but have to admit I too didn't fancy the idea of owning a Vauxhall. That being said, now I know more about them they are looking much more tempting, and Nissan is hardly the best brand image
  2. It documents the process further down in your link Stylz From someone who has actually done the mod.
  3. Well aware of that, but the maximum diameter of the 370z indicators is not what you are drilling the hole for. You make the hole big enough for them to clip into, and the lip on the reflector face itself overlaps. However, all of that only goes to support my point that 25mm is small. Perhaps you should ask for his reasoning behind using a 25mm hole saw before preaching. Is there a possibility that is all they had access to and didn't have a larger, more suitable size?
  4. ^Technicolour wrap... neon orange engine bay... but a monotone, greyscale interior? Looks great, but I was expecting a rainbow disco inside
  5. 25mm wouldn't make any sense. The 350z emblem / 370z indicator is well over 2", so 54mm sounds much more accurate.
  6. Which would make sense if it wasn't for the fact that the 350Z is actually relatively cheap to insure for us youngsters with little / no experience Seems strange that the old fogeys with decades of NCB would be penalised for it, but even then, not all of them.
  7. +1, building size is (theoretically) easier than cutting. It will take longer and is harder to actually do (if that makes sense), but it's not as strict and is actually a simple process. Just eat more. The problem arises if you want to get big without increasing your BF%, then you have to watch what you eat to a greater extent, but then most people cycle bulking and cutting. As for supplements, definitely not necessary, but can work out easier / cheaper than hitting your macros through food alone. You could try whey isolate instead of concentrate as it has less lactose?
  8. There's definitely a few, probably <10 though... Ricky has one, but can't think of any others right now.
  9. Oh no you don't! I think it depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you are doing hypertrophy reps (8-12) and training for size, then by all means go slow, maximise that TUT and reap the gainz. However, for strength training (<= 6 reps), prioritise that explosive contraction then lower it quickly, but in a controlled manner. If you are powerlifting, then just drop it I wouldn't want to have to slowly lower my 1rm Personally I'd never do DLs for size, not that you shouldn't, but for me it just suits strength training so much better. You should really reset your grip after each rep, allowing the weight to be "dead", which kinda goes against the constant tension "requirement" of hypertrophy training. Each to their own though, there isn't always a universal correct or best method in weightlifting, just whatever works best for you.
  10. Well that's no help (╯°□°)╯︵ â”»â”â”»
  11. The guest price on the SXOC site (£208.40) conflicts with the one in the OP (£202). If you go with my method in post #13 or use the price from the OP, it would be £327.
  12. And you would have gotten away with it too, it if weren't for those meddling kids
  13. V8s have a few extra servicing costs, more bits to go wrong, and guzzle fuel, but I wouldn't say they are inherently that much more expensive than any other car. Look at the LS400 (XF10 / XF20), they have V8s, but are one of the most reliable cars ever made, so costs are low. The cars that will bankrupt you are the unreliable ones with big bills. Much like a Corvette, the VXR8 isn't fancy, but to some that is part of the allure, even if the interior sucks. They are simple, powerful, and easy to work on / mod, plus there are plenty of specialists around for the more complex jobs. However, the biggest advantage to the VXR8 is the LS engine. It just opens up infinite possibilities and has immense capability. If you want to stay stock or just do some basic mods (intake / exhaust), then the IS-F is probably the better choice, but the VXR8 will get you those big numbers for very little money (comparatively).

  15. Just call up Yodel. From past experience they will be happy to talk to you if you can prove who you are (name / address matches delivery info).
  16. Was this the meet that was advertised on here the other month?
  17. £15-20k for a 6.0-6.2L, LS V8 with >400bhp, that can be very easily modified sounds pretty great value to me. Sure it doesn't have all the fancy tech that a Merc would have, but that just means there's less to go wrong and it won't bankrupt you. The IS-F is probably the logical choice and an excellent bit of kit, but I can't help but think it looks too plain. It doesn't look special. It's not the kind of car that you walk into another room for the sole purpose of gazing out of the window at it.
  18. Any reason you discounted them and prefer the Evo / XKR? If I thought I could get insured (sensibly) on an SC Monaro I'd have one in a heartbeat, but I highly doubt it, so I'm left with the VXR8. I reckon the Evo / XKR will cost a lot more when the inevitable scary bills crop up, so the VXR8 is a somewhat safer option in my eyes... that or an IS-F. Although I think a C5 Z06 or base C6 is currently at the top of my list.
  19. Completely different beasts the Evo and XKR. Tempted by an XKR myself, but there's something else that's caught my eye. Have you considered a Monaro (VXR) / VXR8? They aren't SC'd from factory unless you go for the most recent models, but there's plenty of power and loads of easy mods. You can even pick up a 600bhp SC Monaro VXR for £15k and it will sound infinitely better than an Evo ever could.
  20. Hard to tell without experiencing it, but sounds like it probably just a characteristic of the gearbox. Couple of potential solutions in these threads if you haven't seen them already: http://www.the370z.com/exterior-interior/81603-annoying-shifter-rattle.html http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-general-discussions/9767-shifter-rattle-buzz.html
  21. Can't say whether what you are experiencing is normal, but you shouldn't really be holding onto the gear stick anyway apart from for the second it takes to shift.
  22. Yeah, you just glue them on, so it will probably end up looking like... well.. glued on bits of pleather
  23. These all look quite good, but they all clash with the pre-existing silver interior bits, which kinda ruins it.
