Front and back?
-
As i mentioned in the OP, there doesn't seem to be anything blocking it, and I can push it down, but it just springs back. :/
-
At least I still have a Z, you traitor
-
Yeh, but "hood" is shorter and sounds better. Don't worry, I still say "boot" rather than "trunk". Although "sedan" is starting to take over from "saloon" too.
-
I assumed you'd be able to, but didn't know how, thanks. Not sure how well it will work though as it seems to line up fine in some places, it's just the middle that seems to be messed up. Will have a play, but I'll probably just make it worse.

^Remove anything after ".jpg" Looks nice btw, thinking of doing the same with my reflectors and front grill.
-
Problem is that most of it isn't even remotely funny. Everything seems scripted and it's just painful to watch. There's none of the classic banter and fooling about. They have been told what to say / do and how to react and it's just cringey. The jokes aren't funny, and even if they were, let's face it, 90% of a joke is the delivery, and the trio are not exactly good actors, so they can't pull it off. The Spec Ops crap in ep2 was the best of example of the worst it can be.

All done. For the LHS I just pulled the top of the front bumper back enough to get at the headlight screws so I could pull the whole assembly out and swap the bulb. Soooooo much easier. I wouldn't go as far to say it was worth it, it's taken way longer than expected and my hands are ripped to shreds, but it needed doing and it does look much better.
-
Had the headlight out and couldn't find anything that looked like it had been snapped off.
-
Not amazing, but pretty decent - though that doesn't mean extra tight. Think I'll do what Alex suggested and remove the headlights so I can get in properly then use some electrical tape to make sure they don't fall out.
-
Don't worry, you didn't miss anything. It was bloody awful.
-
Well I almost turned it off during the first episode. Sounds like the 2nd isn't looking particularly promising either. In the 1st, I found the car stuff was okay, but everything in the studio was shite and not funny, the celebrity bit was stupid and didn't make sense, and the "pro" driver was just painful to watch. At the end of the day, they are catering for the US, it's a bigger market and Amazon probably don't really care if they lose viewers from the UK as we are so insignificant in comparison. It may be heresy, but I reckon new TG will end up being better than GT. If they are getting rid of Chris Evans and Eddie Jordan, the rest of them are quite good. Chris Harris especially is excellent.

I think you might be right. If it wasn't for that bar It'd be a breeze, but it is just right in the way and means you have to pull to the side rather than straight back. But then any extra length from a bulb stops you from pulling to the side without knocking the bulb off or breaking something.

£9.39 The other belt is about the same price, and you have to remove that one to get to your AC belt anyway, so if it's looking a bit past it too, you might wanna do them both together. My alt belt looked pretty new, so I only did the AC belt.
-
Just AC. Mines been cracked for the past few months, but changed it yesterday. Changing the belt is easy, but getting the undertray off can be a massive bitch. No real problems if it snaps - you just won't be able to use the AC (you can still use everything else in terms of setting the blowers to hot / cold, but pressing the AC button won't do anything). There is a potential risk that if it snaps it could take out the other belt (for your alternator and water / power steering pumps), which will give you a problem, but that probably won't happen. Just cut it off if you don't feel like taking the chance though.
-
Maybe, but I can't find anything similar from looking at pictures of it.
-
Umm, that picture is through the wheel arch. It's the only place you'll see the back of the bulb holder like that. Couldn't get a decent picture showing the bar from further away - kept coming out like this, so went with that close up in the OP. Anyway, I've manged to do it now by removing the front bumper so I could get my fingers in from the side. Had to poke the new LED bulb halfway into the headlight while barely keeping a grip of it, then push the holder onto it and then everything through into the headlight. Still got the other side to do, but that can definitely wait til tomorrow cos I definitely need a beer right now.

Not sure what you mean. Some pictures of the passenger side: and driver side for comparison.

Spent the last 3 hours battling with this and now it's dark and I'm getting pi**ed and resorting to just hitting things.. I'm trying to replace the driver's side parking light bulb... I managed to get the holder out, only to discover the bulb had fallen off in the process and was rattling about in my headlight cover. I spent ages trying to get the little turd out and eventually manged using the end of a zip tie. So with everything out, I put my new LED bulb in, only to discover that no matter what angle I tried, I couldn't get it to line back up and go in due to the extra length. I almost manged, but that resulted in me losing the new bulb in the headlight cover. Another 30 minutes of swearing and jiggling the thing about with my new found trusty zip tie, I got it out. The problem is this stupid metal bar which stops the bulb holder from coming straight out, but instead forces me to pull it to one side and come out at a funny angle: Is there a better way to do this or can I easily remove this metal bar? Cheers

Super hard. Zero flex.

Found these bits of plastic rattling round on top of my passenger side front-front wheel arch liner where it sticks out horizontal to attach to the front bumper (circled in red below). Looks like it's only half of something. Can see an arrow on one bit and LH on the other. Cheers

Just noticed my hood is raised on the passenger side, which I never noticed before. It seems to line up at the hinge, and at the front, but in the middle it's maybe a cm too high. I don't think I've done anything to it, but it has just spent several hours propped up with the prop rod thingy. But that is on the driver's side, so I don't see why that would have affected it (if anything I'd have thought it would have raised the driver's side and lowered the passenger's side?) All I did today was replace the AC belt (which involved removing the under-tray / engine splash guard), so i don't see how that would make any difference. Doesn't seem to be anything blocking it, and I can push it down to where it's supposed to be (and further), but then obviously it just springs back up. Any idea what's happened and how to fix it? Does it need to be adjusted or should I just sit on it until it stays where I want it? Cheers

You can ask... . . . . . . . . . . . Yeh, sure, I'll have a bash.

Is the wife okay with you turning Harry on and getting him all hot and sweaty?
