  1. Had to take a 2nd look at it. Heading along Regent Road onto the M602 out of Salford around lunchtime today. It was a holographic wrap & had lime green wheels & a rear wing.. Not seen this one around Manchester before.. It was certainly different to looks at.
  2. I measured the inside of the battery tray earlier & it measures 260mm maximum. So how are some of you fitting a 278mm battery in there? Am I to assume you've just sat it on top of the box, used the tie down strap & just hope it doesn't move?
  3. Thanks Daveymonkey. My other worry was the replacement (for me) must sit inside the original battery tray without having to butcher it. Mine is my daily driver so I may not benefit from an AGM, maybe just an 096. Has anyone had to cut their battery tray or do these 278mm wide batteries fit in 'properly'?
  4. Sorry for the thread resurrection here. My battery is an RAC / Exide one with 540CA from memory. Iy cranked over worryingly slowly yesterday morning after being left only since Saturday. Luckily in work we stock 100's of Yuasa batteries & I'm debating whether to upgrade to the 096AGM. It's a 70Ah with 760CCA & it's quite cheap to me. I'm a little worried by conflicting info on the internet whereby you can't fit an AGM to a non-AGM system, or that once you change to AGM you can't go back to lead acid. Other places saying the alternator & electrics aren't compatible with newer AGM batteries. Anyone?

    Key fob screw.

Thanks for the answers. I ended up getting a blank case with blade from accessfobs.co.uk for just under £5 delivered within 2 days of ordering.

    Key fob screw.

I need one of these for my 2005 key fob, if anyone has one knocking about? Thanks.
  7. Welcome! It looks lowered, unless it's just the photo.
  8. Is it worth replacing the yellow H7 main beam bulbs for a LED type? Mine is an 05 with xenon as dipped beam. Just wondering if it's worth the money to de-yellow the highs? If so, what are people using?
  9. Polish / pad combos are a minefield. What some people like, others may not. Start off with the least aggressive is the usual rule. I've got the Megs 6.5" yellow pads & a couple of the 4" Flexipad polishing pads. I also use Autosmart EVO 1. Seems a good combo on the types of paint I've used them on. Some of the stuff I've done is here: http://mrv6.co.uk/detailing/ Just a few from over the years, I'm no pro at all, but I tend to do the odd one in the warmer weather.
  10. I had this very issue with my old 406 Coupe that had Brembo 4 pots. Corrosion lifts the sliders. The guy that did mine managed to wedge 2x triangular pieces of wood in there to put pressure on the bit unscrewing the torx screws. Saved splitting the calipers. Now, I just grind the edges of the pads to make them fit.
  11. Sat at a set of lights on Edinburgh Way this afternoon. Red Z with a black sunstrip across the top of the screen, and what I think was a Nismo style rear spoiler. No reg as it was a very narrow plate with very small letters & numbers.. Don't see many red ones about at all.
  12. At the end of the Parkway by J9 M60 just after 9am this morning. Black Z with a brave choice of bright red alloys. Didn't get the reg but it ended in FAZ.
  13. Spotted heading along Barton Dock Road towards Kelloggs just after 3pm today. Reg was NG07 TBZ from memory..
  14. I buy the x12 yellow pads off ebay, they come from China, but are only 99p. Always keep plenty in so I don't run out or mind waiting for the post.
  15. At last! Looking good Headphones.
  16. Around 9am this morning was a couple of cars behind me along London Road heading towards Morrisons,Warrington. Looked lowered, appeared to have a front splitter on & had aftermarket headlights with LED's.. Didn't get the reg this time.
  17. Obligatory pics & video once fitted, you know the rules.
  18. Saw this one as I was leaving the Arnold Clark Vauxhall site in Blackpool this morning around 8am. Not sure if it was a staff members car or a customer. OFZ 3145
  19. It always pays to shop around, every year, and play them off against eachother.
  20. Spotted heading along Dunham Road towards Bowden around 7.30am this morning.. YS08 OOH.
  21. Starting to fit the stereo tomorrow, but the supplied facia doesn't want to sit fully on the Pioneer. It's a Connects 2 part number stuck on the packaging branded Sosche, some American company. It's like the inner edge of the facia is too deep to sit over the edge of the head unit. Anyone else had this issue? EDIT: Seems like the outer facia has a curve on it, not allowing it to sit flat, nor will it drop over the whole front of the stereo. I've just been to the place I bought it from who tell me these facias are getting more & more common where they fit various models, instead of the manufacturer making several of them... Anyway, he's ordering one of theirs in for me to have a look at. Odd as I've never seen a Z double din install that wasn't a flush fit, yet all the facias I've been looking at have this curve on them..
  22. I see this occasionally at the garage across the road from work, it was there again today. Works system shows it as a 2005 296bhp GT4. Enthusiast given the K9 JDM number plate?
  23. Around 1pm this afternoon leaving the big Tesco's on Chester Road heading towards Stretford. Sounded nice, exhaust tips didn't look standard though, by the sounds of it neither was the exhaust. PL05 XTC.
  24. I'm soon to change my single DIN Pioneer head unit for a double DIN Pioneer, but really don't like the clumsy looking windscreen mounted aerials. Is there an alternative which is hidden, like new cars with them built in?
  25. It was actually a couple of miles just before the services heading northbound about 1.15pm today.
