  1. Yeah the paint does appear to be quite thin, my main aim is to get it 70-80% better I don't think high 90's is possible without too much risk. Lucky they are really fine marks and nothing that requires a heavy cut. To be honest they are not really noticeable, but I know they are there and it bugs me
  2. As a side on this, I know pressure is subjective and will vary depending on the size of the gorilla holding the tool.... But what would you suggest pressure and speed wise ? Just enough so it doesn't bounce or hop or enough to slightly compress the pad on say a 5 or 6 speed ? Is faster better ?
  3. Wasn't brave enough to start with an 80, but the 120 seems to have removed some. Got an amazing metallic effect in places now
  4. Lovely motor. Not sure if they would help with the sale or value etc. But I have a pair of stock intake hoses I removed from the Nismo along with the jubilee clamps. If you want to put it back to 'stock' in that sense you can have them GLWTS
  5. Much appreciated. Will get that combo and give it a go
  6. As title really, as the meaty part of the meet/show season approaches, what is the best fine compound/finisher for use with a DA polisher to remove those annoying ultra fine scratches/swirls/flecks that inevitably accumulate over time. Not deep but visible when the sun catches them just right. Tried Maguires compound and finish neither worked. Autofinesse Triple masked a few but doesn't really seem to polish them out. Tried a firm black pad and a softer yellow pad with at least 8 passes on 4 different areas same result.... So, detail guru's point me to something that works please
  7. Yeah sailed through, treated her to a service while she was in. The master tech and staff there love her to bits Think we are off to a show at Southport today.
  8. First MOT tomorrow morning Im pretty confident all will be fine. Getting another oil change while she is in. Nissan 8:30am, will report back......

    Door windows

Exactly this, if your foot is not on the clutch, it won't start and just turns on Aux power

    Door windows

Yeah i'd try a window reset as above, mine did this after disconnecting the battery to change the steering wheel. Every time I opened the door it would drop 10mm and not go back up. 1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.2. Close the door.3. Open the window completely by operating the power window switch.4. Pull the power window switch and hold it to close the window, and then hold the switch more than 3 seconds after the window is closed completely.5. Release the power window switch. Operate the window by the automatic function to confirm the initialization is complete.6. Perform steps 2 through 5 above for other window
  12. Slightly more than 75k but its a clean looking example

  14. Ah right. I was looking at centre caps too. Tried 3 sets and non fit. 52/54 54/56 and 56/58 All too big or to small. No idea what they hell they used Might just take the dremel to the stock ones and take the nissan badge off and glue the new tops on. As for the lug nuts, as long as the contact point is the same shape they will be fine.
  15. Good question, have no answer and they are not listed in the Nismo catalogue either. EDIT: Or Nengun Guess if you take one off there will be some marking on them ? What was the reason for needing it ?
  16. Ah damn it, I would have done this one. Same day as Unity meet is on 😔
