I do like the WEC however it's not on freeview TV anymore. That plus the races are so damn long. I like with f1 that I can watch all of the coverage in a weekend and it doesn't completely take over, most of the time, and I can still go out and do other stuff. The thing I don't like about WEC is that I can't justify trying to watch the entire race as it takes up too much time in a single chunk. The same thing occurs with BTCC since to actually see all races for a weekend you have to give up most of your weekend or be meticulous with your time keeping(if you are happy to miss the other stuff). I hate dropping in and out of races (which also makes me dislike race highlights) because you don't always get to fully follow what is giong on and so I struggle to really get into WEC as much as I know I would if I could give it the time it deserves.

Although as I say that I am suddenly wondering if Kimi was on a one year extension this year that was only an option on his previous contract that Ferrari weren't "legally" (I say legally, contracts seem to mean jack s**t in F1 these days) obliged to take up. Which does beg the question as to why they did. I can't imagine he is bringing untold millions of sponsorship money in. I know he is a popular guy with fans in certain markets but surely not to the extent that sales of their products would dramatically diminish should he find himself out of a job. The thing I always have to remind myself of when thinking about stuff in F1 (and which I hate the fact that it's true) is that the actual racing is a miniscule part of the bigger picture of politics and commerce.

I seem to remember the first time kimi was "let go" by Ferrari that he had a particularly good management team which meant that ending his contract early was extremely expensive. Not so bad last time as Fernando's Santander money was coming. It could be that they are currently just holding on til he is out of contract as it is too expensive to get rid of him before hand.

Another vote for Megs from halfrauds. Especially if they still have their 3 for 2 going. Can get everything you need for 3 stage for not too much outlay. Having never been into car detailing before myself this is what I went for and it's done me ok so far. You can get the megs clay bar kit from halfrauds too. The only thing I think they are actually missing from their stock list is decent microfibres. The ones they have seem to fall to bits whenever I wash them so I am gonna invest in some better quality ones. I now enjoy washing the car every weekend. Neighbours think I am mad that I am out there regardless of weather and Claire thinks I am nuts as sometimes I don't even use the car in the week and it still gets a once over, "to clear the garage dust off".

Rafiki normally manages to go arse first and will happily sit in any box regardless of size, shape, dimension. His favourite place in the whole house at the moment is the loft when he is allowed in since all the boxes from moving in and everything we own is up there, not all of which have been flatpacked so he has a field day knocking the neat pile over everytime and then sitting in all the boxes. That and finding spiders to eat.

Totally appreciate what you are saying. If I was being paid untold riches to just effectively turn up every couple of weeks I think the money would help rebuild my bruised ego from not being competitive any more. And why turn down anyone that offers you millions for the privilege of driving one of the worlds most impressive and bespoke machines, it's not like he even particularly fulfils loads of sponsor duties. I would do exactly what Kimi is doing given the option and be a damn sight worse at driving to boot. However I don't see Ferrari offering him more money this time round.

Ah yes... The magical world that is cat, box interaction

Looks handsome, and a lovely colour too

If his career had started in 2008/9 then I would have stronger opinions. I think I'm just holding onto the Kimi of the early-mid noughties

I had this on my celica, turned out that somehow some contaminent had got onto the clutch plate.

Whilst I wouldn't be so strongly worded in sharing your sentiment I agree that his seat could be put to much better use.

Both pictures in that post are mint. Pete, if I lived anywhere near you I would be hassling you to let me meet those kittens. They are phenomenally cute, bet they are starting to reach the really fun, characterful stage now too where everything is a game and learning stuff. I will include a few more pics of Rafiki since he is also my work colleague (I work from home most of the time, he does no such work). He is very much becoming a lap cat and is determined to join me for work wherever possible. This plus him sitting on my keyboard (which I surprisingly couldn't find a pic of) is representative of my work day every day. Edit: I might add that even though he likes to get in the way and wants attention, he is a much easier office mate and co-worker than some I have known.

Whilst I can see the kindness in this crowd funding effort I can't help but feel that it could also be construed as slightly bullying the OP. If he was happy with the wheel then good on him, if not then I am sure he is capable of contacting the trader responsible himself. It could also be convincing him that he is unhappy with a product that he was previously content with based on the negative feedback which is a bit of a shame. I know this is a public forum and everyone is entitled to share their opinion, particularly as the OP seemed to want those opinions, and I am in no way trying to suggest anything other than good intent by anyone here (I am always grateful for everyone's two cents myself when I ask for it) but I would feel bad if something like this might put the OP off from posting or searching for opinions in future. If you feel I am way off here then by all means ignore what I am saying, and OP if you have no issues and feel my defence is unwarranted or not needed then fine, but having watched this develop I couldn't sit and say nothing.

I can see Kimi swapping places with Bottas but I would have thought that Massa would stay at Williams. While its true that Rosbergs contract is up I can't imagine that Mercedes would let him go especially if he's World Champion. I suppose he could go to Ferrari but I just don't see it happening. Pete I see kimi leaving as a high possibility. World champions have been dropped before, although I think the last time was Williams 20 years ago if I remember rightly. I initially thought there was a reasonable chance that Nico would go at the end of the season, possibly back to Williams, but given the start of this year I now think that is less likely. I also think that Jenson may leave at the end of this year or also make a return to Williams. Can see Massa potentially being pushed into retirement or down the grid, although relative to Bottas he has been doing a much better job recently too. Not sure who I have pegged for the fresh Ferrari seat, maybe Grosjean. I quite rated Bottas at the start of his career but think his last 18 months have been a little underwhelming. I think a lot of the movement will depend on Verstappen, and whether or not Button and Raikkonen retire.

I agree that Kvyatt hasn't particularly done anything to warrant being booted from the lead team however I suspect that (also touched upon in other articles today) it has more to do with holding onto Verstappen than anything to do with Kvyatt. With Ferrari and Merc currently having seats available for next year, 2 at Williams plus others I imagine Redbull is doing all it can to make sure that Verstappen is with them. Promoting him mid season makes that job much easier, particularly if RB updates start to deliver more. Kvyatt, whilst not being poor, I don't think has actually been as solid as they had hoped. In all likelihood I think RB would have dropped Kvyatt at the end of the season for Verstappen anyway, the early promotion just goes to prevent him being poached. I think it's a case of this being the straw that broke the camel's back and provided them with an easy excuse to switch now.

The Project that wasnt meant to be a Project
jowen7448 replied to Synx's topic in Member Build Projects
Which way you going with that statement? Normally people imply they are too old to "get it" but I'm 26 and have no clue what they are talking about either -
Redbull are pretty ruthless then http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/2016/05/05/kvyat-axed-by-red-bull-verstappen-takes-his-place-for-spain/

O/S/F LOWER SUSPENSION ARM OUTER BALLJOINT ?
jowen7448 replied to Odinterimon's topic in JDM imports
Is this the one on the knuckle? If so (and not knowing if there is a difference between JDM and UK, I also have HR) I was quoted circa £50 for one from Sly@Kaizer. Someone more knowledgeable however will be along, or PM ZMANALEX for more info/better answer. -
Brandon have you asked TT where he is based? Is this an option for you? TT is all the way up north and I'm all the way down south. He was looking for collection and it's a bit far for me Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk Where up North? I live in Leeds, but should be in Newcastle Friday afternoon for a meeting, I am Manchester next week for a couple of days and the following week will be in West Malling in Kent. I appreciate that is still a bit of a way for you, but if TT is anywhere near me or my destinations and you can come collect it from Kent around 18th May I might be able to help.
