No problem, if you want I will spend half an hour going through each page on my phone with a finer tooth comb to see if anything else jumps out?

Had a quick browse around the site on my phone since you mentioned that specifically. Works nicely on my browser, feels slick, much much better than lots of websites appear on mobile. My only real gripe is based more on navigation than the actual appearance of the front end. Performance nissan servicing prices etc (350/370...) come under nissan gtr on the menu which feels a little unintuitive.

Stunning looking motor. Surely it should be in gulf colours too

So it would appear the lower ball joint boot on both sides is split. If investigation so far has led me to the correct conclusion, despite nissans best efforts, I do no need to buy a full arm for each of these. However I think that there is some difference between ages as to what I actually need here. As far as I can tell there is no play in the ball joint, that all seems fine apart from being a little devoid of grease at the moment. Can anyone point me in the direction of the correct boots for the HR please? Is there a recommended uprated boot that might not be so inclined to perish going into the future? Thanks Edit: In addition how much of a PITA are these to do myself?

Ahhh gaffer tape. I wondered how long it would take for this to arrive as a solution to something.

I was mega annoyed at myself when the AX died. I had gotten hold of some speakers that were worth far more than the car (to be fair most speakers were by this point). When I had it towed to the garage to be read it's last rights, in the emotion at the loss of my first car I completely forgot about removing the speakers. Only remembered a couple of months later when I found the stock ones in a cupboard. My only other speaker related story is more my dads story than mine but I was there so it counts. Sat in a van at services on the way back from some music event my dad had been working at. Group of chavs roll up next to us with music blaring thinking they are all that with their tiny little speakers in the parcel shelf. My dad just cooly, but pointedly opens the rear doors of the van to reveal a speaker of similar dimensions to the door opening, (two filled the whole van). The look on the chavs faces as they realised was pretty funny. Obviously there was no way a transit could power these behemoths but they were pretty impressed and it was quite amusing. They ended up being ok blokes (disagreement on music choice and clothing choice to one side) and we had a bit of a laugh and chat about car stereos etc. Edit: PS loving these stories good to know that lots of people are equally stupid at that age. I find that reassuring

New for 2016 Gran Turismo 6 Challenge Cup

God damn it I'm now slowest on RBR. I can't be having that, I will have to have another go this week sometime if I can. I was considering putting some weight over the back end and trying to lift off oversteer to aim the front end round better. -
New for 2016 Gran Turismo 6 Challenge Cup

Well after 50 or so attempts I am down to a 1:40.592 on matterhorn. I know there is more in it as my best sectors together would probably put me in the 39's which is mega frustrating. I think i am done for today though. -
Gives a whole new meaning to the term bucket seats doesn't it

Nice choice, I think Adam (r111nxx) still has his HR for sale, nice guy, lives in Wakefield area. I have seen his car in the metal too and looks very tidy. It's grey rather than silver or black but may be of interest. How close to the M56 are you based? I will be driving past on sunday on the way over to Wales, if you happen to be not too big a detour and fancied a quick natter about cars/ have a nosey at my HR I am happy to drop by if I'm not running late. Thanks for pointing his Hr out, I'll be sure to check it out. Doing a lot of poking about in showrooms, in this forum (for over 12 months, in secret ), on eBay and autotrader etc etc so I'm getting to know the average prices and what sort of bits I want, there's plenty about so I can afford to be picky to be fair! I'm not sure how far up the M56 you'll go really, depends on what part of Wales you're headed to, but you can get to it from my house in around 10 minutes depending on the traffic about the local shopping centre. Dan. I'm off to Bangor so will join from the M6 heading west until it runs out. Like I say, offer is potentially there if you want it, no pressure just let me know, if you have been noseying around lots anyway then I imagine you have answered a lot of your questions for yourself, particularly as mine isn't modded (don't know what your plans are in that respect).

The thing that's getting me here is does an A4 not have rear seats? Could your passenger not have sat there while you removed the front passenger seat? Still good story

Sheffield area code is 0114 (?) Sorry just the way I looked at it on my phone the area code was 0124 for the number advertised and Sheffield being 0114 I thought *maybe* it was a typo. Anyway ad has disappeared and my search for a 350Z continues. Got three lined up to view on Saturday. Ah I see where you are coming from now. I suspect the fact that the ad has disappeared is no bad thing. Good luck with finding a Zed, what sort are you after, what is your budget? Have you checked out the Zeds for sale section of this board?

GLWS. Very upmarket piece of paper with your name on for the sale you got there

Does have the frost seats though. Pete I think you will find, as per the advert, that they are in fact beige No such thing as beige seats for the zed but I guess we'll never know as the ad has been removed Pete I know there isn't, but whoever posted the ad obviously didn't know that.

Surely that's just a good argument to upgrade

Haha nice, my mum ruined my dads old 5 series when it overheated. She called him up said it's overheating etc etc, he said just stick some water in it to get it home. Unfortunately instead of supplying the radiator with a nice bottle of natures finest it was the oil filler cap that had it's thirst quenched. Needless to say it didn't make it home and we had one unhappy fella in the house for a while. They are still together but she isn't even allowed to touch her own car now save for driving it and putting fuel in it (she manages the correct fuel it would seem, hope I am not jinxing this, I will report back if I get a call saying shes put diesel in instead of petrol, I know there are mechanisms in place to prevent this but the lack of mechanical sympathy or interest in cars leads me to believe that she is capable of anything).

When the ECU on my AX went, before I knew it was the ECU, I tried to bump start it while rolling down a hill. Problem was of course it wouldn't have started in a month of Sundays the state it was in. There i was rolling down a hill towards the a6 trying to get it to start. Ended up being stopped in the middle of the road on said hill, not being able to move, had to get my dad to go down and stop the traffic so I could roll straight over and down the other side to manoeuvre it into a sensible parking place again til it could be towed.

Damn sight cheaper fix than a new gearbox when you're young, stupid and blown all your money on a sportscar you can't afford to run! Haha. Can't argue with that mate. This is brilliant, love the ingenuity here. Enjoying reading all of these, keep 'em coming.

Love the Cortina fix, not sure that having to push a car constitutes a fix though Nice I met an armed response unit once who came to take down my dad. He used to manufacture and sell explosives for the entertainment industry, films, live shows and the like. We were doing a promo vid of some new products at a local stock car circuit with things like helicopter gun fire and big fireball explosive effects. God knows what nearby residents thought was going on but an armed response unit dutifully turned up. Were a nice bunch of lads in the end once it was cleared up what was actually going on (police had been notified beforehand etc) and hung around to watch us filming. Although they looked hard all suited and booted with their firearms they turned into little girls when some of the really big effects were being set off, 20 ft fireball explosion where you can feel the soundwave hit followed by all the heat had them sh**ting their pants and covering their ears.

OK, who is going to call the grammar police? See above post again
