Haha I went for HFC's on mine just because I didn't want the hassle of swapping them every year for the MOT. I've sold the car so no point me hanging onto them and I just want them out the way really. Could be a cheap way to decat for someone? Smash the middles out of these and sell the cat material for scrap = pretty much free decat pipes 😉
-
It could be useful if anyone knows what the scrap value of these cats actually is? If anyone has weighed a pair of them in please shout up with what they were worth. Looking online it seems they could be worth anything from £15 to £200 each 🤔
-
Everything now sold except the cats. Anyone want to make an offer on them before I go weigh them in for scrap? I'll accept any offer over scrap value ðŸ‘

Harnesses now sold 😃 Cover and cats still available if anyone wants to make an offer on them?

Discs and mats provisionally sold ðŸ‘

Now that my 370z has gone to her new home, I've been having a tidy out and come across a few zed related bits that may as well be on their way. 1) Firstly I have a set of front drilled and grooved brake discs and EBC redstuff pads. I had redstuffs in my 370 already and they were fantastic for fast road/ spirited driving and gave off far less dust than standard. I bought this set of discs and pads ready for next time they needed changing. But I sold the car before the old ones wore out. So these discs and pads are brand new and unused. £160 2) Second is a pair of standard cats, removed from my car when I had HFC's fitted at approx 25k miles. Good working order. The cats themselves/ the internals look to be in good condition. The outer heat shields, especially underneath are a bit rusty, as expected from a used car. £80 3) Third is a genuine Nissan (weathershield) outdoor car cover, specifically for the 370z coupe (may fit other similar models). Has only been used once and was only on the car overnight for less than 12 hours, so is still like new. Cost £313 from Nissan. £150 4) Next is a pair of carpet floor mats for the 370. I bought these with the idea of having winter mats and keeping a nice set for summer. However I decided to take my zed off the road each winter, so only ever had the use for 1 set of mats. Hence these being brand new, still wrapped up. £40 5) Lastly I have a pair (2 sets) of TRS 6 point race harness seat belts. New still in their boxes. Left over from a previous track car project, no longer required. They are the superlight version with the expensive lightweight alloy adjusters. Cost £250 each new! Only FIA dated until the end of 2017 hence the cheap asking price. Ideal for track day or fast road use. £200 for both All prices are ONO and don't include postage, please feel free to make an offer if you don't think I've been fair with any of the prices. I would prefer items to be collected from my address near Thirsk, North Yorkshire. I can however get a price for posting if absolutely necessary.

[SOLD]2012 370z GT for sale, Grey, only 28k miles, manual

Thanks guys. I never really intended on selling my Zed or buying an RS, but took the RS out for an hours test drive unsupervised when I had a couple of hours to kill in York one afternoon. Ended up falling in love with it and placing an order for one 🙈 From the hour I've spent driving it, it's fantastic, but I'll let you know how it's going once I've actually owned mine for a while 👠-
Sadly after 2 years of ownership the time has come to part ways with my beloved 370z. Beautiful condition with less than 28k miles, full Nissan service history. Fully specced inc sat nav, voice activation, reverse camera, Bluetooth, jukebox, cruise control, speed limiter, heated seats, 19" Ray's forged alloys (mint condition), Syncro rev matching, auto lights, auto wipers plus loads more. Also a few aftermarket mods including Stillen exhaust system and Berks high flow cats (sounds awesome) ECUTEK remapped to 360bhp with swichable multi-maps and traction control update from abbey motorsport (was worth the cost of the remap for the traction control update alone, its improved the way the car drives massively) K&N air filters. LED bulbs in front side lights, reverse lights, number plate lights and interior gives a lot more modern look. She doesn't get driven during the winter months, so has just been taxed from 1st April, and has just come back from service and MOT on 03/04/2017, so fully up to date service and full 12 months test. HPI clear, no previous crash damage and no finance owing. A genuine and honest car. Has been my pride and joy for over 2 years, always had time and money lavished on it to keep it in A1 condition. The only thing picked up on the MOT/ service was the rear tyres, they still have 3 to 3.5mm tread so perfectly legal but will want replacing in the next few thousand miles depending on driving style. Also minor chips on the front bumper. I have allowed for this in the price. Only selling as I've ordered a new Focus RS. The RS was due to arrive September, but Ford have informed me it could be arriving as early as 3rd June, so puts me under a bit more pressure with the sale here. I'd put it up for sale at £18,000 elsewhere, but now I need a quicker sale will listen to offers around £16,500. I really don't want to end up having to trade her in, so try me with an offer, worst I'll say is no. Located just outside Thirsk, North Yorkshire for viewing purposes. Please get in touch to arrange a viewing, ask for more details or more/ better pictures.

My other half has a 2007 xtrail 2.2 dci. It's been in the family from new and has always been reliable, nice to drive, comfortable on long journeys etc. I know it's older than what you're looking at but the mk1 and 2 aren't massively different. The only thing we've found, living out in the country and with the horrendous condition of the roads round here, the suspension isn't particularly robust. Drop links, joints, bushes etc don't seem to last 5 minutes.

I've got a stillen CBE with Berks HFC's. It isn't particularly loud and if you're driving through a built up area can easily keep the noise down by maintaining a lower engine speed. At motorway cruising speed it's not at all noisy or annoying. But when you do open the throttle it does sound good. I had the stillen fitted with the standard cats for a while and it was still far too quiet, only a fraction louder than standard but with a better tone. I've also had one of the switchable maps set for 'pops and bangs' so with my current set up and with Rev match switched on it sounds awesome on downshifts 😃👌

I saw this for sale, asked the seller if he could advise what modifications it had to achieve 400bhp. Obviously didn't get any reply.

I have exactly this problem. I'm 6'3 and nearly 16st. My seats arnt worn or squashed, there simply isn't enough padding between the hard metal bar and your legs. Any time I've driven it for over an hour I get out with 2 dead legs. I've always assumed being so tall doesn't help, having to sit with my legs splayed adds extra pressure I think.

I could be wrong here, but is the 370z coupe not about 1460kg? I'm sure it's not as heavy as 1600kg. Also with the mods you've mentioned, so HFC's, cat back, intakes and a decent remap (Ecutek) then 360 bhp isn't out of the question, possibly even slightly more. I've had my 370 for about 18 months, it's not particularly expensive to run and it's a massively fun car to own. I'd definitely recommend you go test drive one.

The British Gas valves are just a Drayton valve, made by Drayton but branded for BG. You won't get another BG valve for it apart from out the back of a BG engineers van. Glad you've got it sorted ðŸ‘
