decided i wont need a radio or a rear wiper haha. my g35 coupe spats also came in from chris at tarmac sportz, all cut and a mockup of what they will look like

delivery from rt performance arrived today! spoiler seems to sit pretty spot on will need some good bond, either tiger seal or sikaflex and same for the mines style lip. the lip will need some shaping in the middle where it meets the bumpers grill.

so tonight i stripped down my mirrors for painting..what a nip. i snipped the wires at the connector end, will just rejoin when fitting back together. i then found out my mechanic mate has a tool to unpin the connectors.... ooops.

ohh! yeah same as what mines like. its out of shape along the grille part of the bumper and very tight at the sides... like under alot of tension... was it rt performance u bought it from? i was roughly £200 so if its gonna crack after a few months i wont be too impressed tbh

anyone have issues with fitment in these mines style lips? i just bought from rt performance and its a bitty out of shape to the bumper

could you please do my wheels in gold and white please. and if you could do the handles black that would be great too.

zzzebaby- yeah any good painter should be able to mask it but thats not the point, maybe I'm just fussy but when its a complete change of colour i'd rather take the window out and have it all cleaned behind the glass and fresh paint put down on it.. and it looks like the rubber is fairly hard, i've not tried yet to see if trim tape will work on it.. if worse comes to worse i'll just fine line mask it.... I've mask much harder things in the past. yeah chippychip my point exactly- most painters will want windows out etc when doing a change of colour. when the z was painted white by previous owner he didnt mask it well so unless i can get the paint off the edge of the rubber i will removed the window and just get a new rubber... like i say im fussy and being a painter having paint on a seal or rubber really grinds my gears.

when you say trim what do you mean? the rubber around the glass or plastic trim on the inside of the tailgate?

So yesterday my mate I used to work with, who now runs his own body repair shop (a.j.c customs) came up and done me a huge favor by repairing all the dents on the 350. Few bits left to strip down today and sand back the old paint then get it all primed and rubbed down... hopefully my boss will let me use a booth at work in a few weeks to get it painted.

Can anyone tell me if the quarter glass is bonded in or bolted in?

so this turned up on monday! chuffed to bits with it. just need to save up for my ypipe and high flow cats, chris at tarmac sportz will be getting my business once again with them, highly recommend him great to deal with.

i've spent too much this month! but its my birthday tomorrow so might have to treat myself to somthing else for the z haha

will do grundy, might be awhile though, the prep work starts in a few days for the respray once i get that done it will be new exhaust fitted and stripping down interior parts for hydro dipping thats when i will fit it.

got my gaitor in today! very quick delivery. cant wait to get it fitted now

not if its a homer.... unless i pay a bit more and have someone do it through business hours.. that way if he breaks it i get a new one haha

im planning having my rear window removed when i respray my z. has anyone ever had theirs removed and are they easy enough to come out? will be window remover doing it but worried if their hard to come out and he brakes it i might find it hard getting one for a good price.

it will be the cheaper one being sent to get retrimmed. im just unsure if behind the airbag etc is different for allowing the wiring to go through for controls as i'd want the controls swapped from my oem wheel to the re trimmed one which originally hasnt got controls

probably a stupid question but would rather know for sure before spending money.. basically I'm planning a retrim on my steering wheel but I don't want to have no use of my car for 2 weeks while the wheel is away. can get my hands on a cheap oem wheel. my current wheel has the controls but the one I could buy doesn't. I take it this wouldn't matter and the controls would switch over onto the replacement wheel?

awesome i'll keep my eyes peeled for the handbrake gaitors and i'll let my mate know about the gear one im sure he will make some adjustments to get it to fit.

Next few weeks can't come quick enough! Ordered my isr performance gt single exit exhaust from chris at tarmac sportz. Also ordered up a blitz style spoiler and mines style front lip from RT performance. Once i'm paid at the end of the month i will be ordering more from tarmac, side skirt extensions hfc's and a stillen or japspeed ypipe. once my exhaust is all in and on i will have my rep hks true dual up for sale. not sure what the replicas are worth it looks in ok condition. sounds very loud with the decats in it. decats are earmarked for my mates 350z as his scorpion system isnt loud enough for him
