Gran Turismo Movie August 2023
GranTurismoEra replied to GranTurismoEra's topic in Off Topic Discussion
Agree with this comment from gtplanet "I am a bit missing the more classic "GT Mode" movie. The kind of where the protagonist is some nobody with a cheap used car at first, before naturally escalating into a 1,600 hp Red Bull prototype in a 600 car garage, with all the imaginable Easter eggs along the way... That's how I always imagined a GT movie would be " -
yeah theres loads on Autotrader below market value like a manual convertibe thats been on there months at around £12k. If you want niche colours like yellow those tend to be overpriced and snapped up. I had mine for sale for a few weeks but decided to keep it for now until i can get the exhaust fitted. Its an auto so suits me in the city where you have to change gears more times than a Fast and Furious movie. If you want a 12 onwards its usually around £14k with avg miles and facelifts 14/15 plates are now around £17k+. Although i missed out on a facelift for 15k over a year ago. Went to a dealer who sold it for £18000+

350Z will end up being the keeper in years to come. Especially if you want to start collecting 😂. I think ill look for a well taken care of HR eventually to keep. I want to stay NA as long as possible. Nothing beats the sound of a naturally aspirated engine. The comments on the video says it all about staying old school.

Nardo suits the 350 very well. Its a great community and kudos to the organisers that keep things active! -
GT Models had heated electric leather alcantara seats and Sat Nav. GT spec being standard in the UK with a few base cars without. Bluetooth streaming, usb input, cruise control, snow button on some models, synchrorev on manuals Convertible comes with air conditioned/heated seats and alcantara door cards and knee pads! GT Edition like mine alcantara door cards. Nismo had lightweight recaro alcantara seats. Although the Nismo was heavier for some reason. Cornered flat and had only 11 hp more. It allowed more midrange punch. The 370 is slightly quicker than the later 350 HR only just. The 370 GT is slightly lighter but bulkier body and higher seating position Ive owned 4 zeds including 2 Nismo and theyve all been reliable. Im hesitant to move on due to reliability of rivals. All Nismos in UK are manual. The 350Z issues were more due to age than anything. Mine being rust, starter motor, drop links, banana arms. The 350Z is longer than the 370. The 370 has a shorter wheel base and more grip at the back. The 370 engine doesn't sound as good as the 350 and needs proper exhaust with cross over pipes to mirror the 350Z. That being H or X pipes. Where as on the 350 i had straight pipes. The 370 for me has more road presence and is slightly better interior wise. It isnt as raw and lacks a bit of the character the 350 had. They both turn heads and its never dull driving either.

Rear speakers are right on the quarter behind on the driver and passenger seat. I would think small standard oem bose speakers. -
Anybody done an experience day at Thruxton?

Need a clubcard for sure. Single seater ftw -
yeah with the 370 the retrofit android unit with phone mirroring would be cool. Im not sure how youd navigate sideways with the wheel buttons though. Being touch screen should be ok. Plus the nav buttons do the job. Also the other option using a full pad in a surround and keeping the ac dials. Thats the more expensive option.

Nice setup for the 350. Good to have the know how. Ebay is hit and miss for sure 😆.

ULEZ is still going ahead despite protests. Being contested in the courts. 370Z is Euro 4/5 so shouldn't be affected. 350Z however is Euro 3/4. Best put your plate number in the site below as ULEZ goes ahead in August. I put a 2004 in and it said it was all clear. Currently ULEZ goes up to North and South Circular. It will end up expanding to M25. https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicle/ULEZ Check -

It does move very well. -
Skateboard setup (MG) puts the weight in the middle of the car stretching to all 4 wheels. The Rimac set up as a mid engine format. MR type. M5 has a traditional front engine over the front axle set up. Or in some cases the engine is as far back as allowed being slightly behind the front axle. Pros and cons to each. With rear and AWD torque vectoring and rear wheel steering could fix the weight penalty that comes with EV. The top spec compared with a Jaguar V8 weight is matched but say 536hp in the MG vs V8 Jaguar 2023 power is 86hp more on MG, weight is 1700kg on jag vs 1900kg on the MG but Torque is much higher on the MG. Could be as high as 600 -700 ft lbs. Definitely interested to see how much itll weigh and the spec sheet lol...
