  1. About £6500 plus, Car is fun to drive, but so can a less powerful jap car.
  2. Thanks Sly, good to deal with a specialist for once, and my MPG went up to 24MPG, 2 hours drive both ways,Good road trip! not so much on the way back though Got back at 1.30 left there at 11.20. No fatigue or backaches not even a headache.
  3. keep looking, unfortunately no zeds are perfect and thats the risk with used cars. The owner is probably thinking it will cost x amount to bring it back to a good standard. By then he lost out 2-3k etc. It looks like he hasnt spent anything on it though. Perfect Zed expect to pay around 7k plus. Remember mechanical condition matters the most, but right to walk away on this occasion
  4. I got them from Brakedepot with Mintex at the back brembo in the front Stay away from drilled, they crack.....grooved are better or plain branded discs,
  5. if you don't mind driving 60 miles we can get these sorted for you at F.O.C with any service or £30 without service im based in Northolt, are you in Kent? its a good deal for sure, how much with gearbox oil change with the famous molyslip thrown in, just need a saturday free, im on 85,000 and major service is at 90,000, What/where is F.O.C
  6. I think mechanical condition should dominate everything else, No car is perfect even brand new ones break down at the side of the M4 ;-)
  7. Does anyone local to Watford/Harrow have the tools to do this, obviously everything involves risk when doing these things, i would do it myself if I had the tools, i.E Torque Wrench and Grease. Ive been quoted £100 total for both sides and 2 hours labour by a well known indy. This takes an hour right? Maybe I can do this elsewhere then just go to the garage and sort another suspension issue. Problem is most garages dont throw things in. they want to charge an hour for each problem even though it takes 15 mins etc with minimal priced parts....
  8. "what size engine is that" while trying to avoid a full blown conversation,I said 3.5 and went in the house! Might have appeared rude, but thats the same guy when asked about an alleyway said its his land ;-) The painter said today "nice car mannn, the wheels are sick, you will get mad kitten with this car," I said lets get inside away from prying eyes lol Had a guy wave at me in mcdonalds like I knew him, people look, But the main thing is to enjoy the car as long as I can while I can, I bought it for myself and love the tunnels and underpass, great noise. Was with a friend who visited maranello and she was impressed with the sound, even though you cant compare with V12s etc love it so far, shame we only have half days of sun, full days come when you are at work! My next car will definitely have to be something not too many people have, ill be doing major research,
  9. loool, the reputation of wannabe GTR owners is cemented with this one
  10. Visit Maranello and make some friends like my friend did lol, you never know tbh
  11. if i win the lottery ill have a flying car by 2035, only used at night ofcourse so i cant be spotted, with f22 type coating to minimise radar detection, call me batman, 0-60 miura, those cars were grown up though, and had superior top speeds, so you might get left today, but youll be in a unique motor
  12. *sigh* inferiority complex as the american say, god forbid you hit the jackpot, i fear for your safety, it brings out the best in people, never mind the guy that just pulled up in a 2016 aston martin, youre the VIP
  13. he did say he had been looking at them for a while, then exposed himself asking details that would come up if you were looking for them. Fair dos ive never known what a ford galaxy has, id rather google it than stop someone in traffic though, I had someone tell me yesterday to get a better car, , not my fault its not to everyones tastes eh, if its not something you would buy then go about your business . how about the old guy walking aggressively onto the pedestrian crossing as im making a turn looking the other way, good thing i saw him eh. And his wife has her hands wide out looking at him asking what are you thinking.......the ones that pull up beside you then speed off,
  14. so the point of your post was ... ? Its edited, my mate has one and i like the M3 and Potatoes
  15. I was coming home from work yesterday, when a guy in a diesel A class the previous shape skipped about 6 cars to pull up beside me and ask "is that a fairlady Z", what Litre is that? Ive been looking for a while how much do they go for? I just said they arent expensive.....And this my friends is why I need tints, I can pretend I didnt see him next time. Everyone circumstances are different plus theres a reason he was driving a diesel A class, possibly for a long commute to work. I work 6 miles away down the motorway. So its £30 pound a week to go to work and run an errand or two. I get a new job tomorrow far away Id have to get rid. So before he skipped another 2 cars ahead and got onto the main road, he said he'd have a look when he got home and sped off lool. Last time this happened I was in my mates E class that just came out, Thats why we have Google, his was debadged, my mate just answered one question "E Class" and wound back up lool. When they get home and they see that the car in question has a higher list price than they assumed or the Z are now back up on the price as summer approaches he'l be in for a shock. I bought this car because I was curious and I have always liked it since it first came out whilst I was in high school in 2002/2003. I used to ask my older bros to draw cars and planes for me when i was 7,8. So its not me jumping on a hype, Its me wanting to try something different, and scratching an itch Ive had since the glory days of Gran Turismo and Max Power magazines. Unlike these people that just see materials, expensive things and oh bob neighbor just got a new land rover v6, we are getting a v8 type jeep next week! Apart from the race me invisible emblem have you guys had similar clowning experiences, lets face it if he was genuine he would know the price and the size of the engine, after googling not ogling
  16. reverse logos/emblems, lol, wonder what the next gen 370z will look like, probably wont be called that but hey
  17. Nice my mate has had one for the last year and hes had these done lol, only changed brake pads so far and serviced. All I can say is beast beast beast, Thing is insane. More than 5k on mods but transformed the car Sorry to hijack the thread Car is 5 star, you will enjoy
  18. you will have people stopping you asking what car is that? you can reply with its another one of those audis ;-)
  19. my mate has similar spacing and hasnt been pulled, hes had it on a 65 plate for the last 3 months, and a lot of people have similar in my area, We are near a traffic cop base too. Depends!
  20. Because a good replacement is well over a grand, some even advertised at £2k and then there's no guarantee what your buying is going to be any good, and you just end up in the same boat. CD009's are rarer than chicken teeth and if you can find one then again it's stupid money. At least with a rebuild with new parts I'll know it'll be good to go and currently coming in at under £700 Ive been to a factory where they rebuild the VW/Audi ones, its like a work of art, dont nissan aftermarket have something similar in UK? I.e bring yours in and take away theirs? Makes sense rebuilding it yourself!
  21. Are you looking for a lamborghini? 7k should find plenty of these cars, GT versions included.....something got to give, either mileage or number of owners or colour, service history, unless youre willing to spend more...7k would have got you a nice 50k miles black/white 2005 GT on ebay when i was looking, I even saw a couple of closely priced 2006 and 2007 HR ones for sale non GT. As if pre 2005 were more in demand that they were costing as much as some 2006 2007 HR models.
  22. yeah mine had fresh tyres new alloys full history but many owners lol, 3 from same family, i purchased of 40 year old guy who got it off a 50 year old guy, lipped disc and pads need changing in front, grooved disc were 119 quid and pads were 29 quid, gona get them fitted with a guy ive been going to for 7 years only for £30 quid prolly tip him another 15 on top, part of my tab! Well you cant have everything eh, something has to give. This one has 83k miles, all fun so far speaking of gearbox, its not a supple one like the civic 56 plate, but its fine for now Exhaust is nice, burbles and crackles, then pops at the limiter.. lol I come into my area in neutral, lol
  23. Lol, waiting game and keeping eyes peeled, if you are looking for a stock one im sure youll find one with a good mileage, good history, finding one with less than 3 4 owners for the price you are looking for is tough. The usual places this forum, autotrader, ebay, gumtree....piston heads..... I didndt want to pay 6k for an 04 tbh What year are you looking for? 2005 GT 70k? They go for 7k dont they? Saying that I did want a Type R, possibly next car, ill see, I like the Ep3 and FN2
  24. is the exige affordable lol, looks tempting out of that list
