  1. Ive some experience driving cars with worn slipping clutches. I drove my 350z with a high worn clutch. This just releases a smell in the cabin when youre riding it or having it engaged on a hill or in and out of engagement in traffic. So im.assuming it already slipping. But when accelerating I cant see the rev counter jumping its pulling smooth all the way. Its doesnt happen often much like the tramlining. So I have to insist they look into it. I've only been driving 9 years so this is my second performance car after 350z. Which I had to move on.or id have been spending another £2500 on top of the 2k during 18 months ownership. I do realise porsches are different breed of car. You get what you pay for. Nissan clearly spent all their vouchers on the performance cars because their base cars arent as good as honda.
  2. The worry is that they may make the car worse than it already is but hopefully it improves the handling. Like ekona said these guys are suppose to know their car inside out. But seems like they needed a printout and calls from you to sort it. One test drive should have told them what they needed to know. Im.back there on 28th they said I didnt tell them during original booking, so this time we,ll see. They gave me a micra courtesy car. Worse than a jazz. The pulsar they had with 13 miles on clock had no petrol. But yet they are next to a gas station. The plastics were still on, I asked if the car had even been tested before I ended up tramlining into a guard rail... Funny thing is they have 15 staff all in the sales room having a meeting and only 2 staff in service area with 5 customers waiting. No updates had to call to find out they had washed my car when I clearly stated no wash. Disorganized, lady had no clue regarding what a minor service entails. Lol Ive used sly but dudes 70 miles away. Also this service was free.
  3. Mines going in on wednesday, the tramlining hasnt been a major issue, it happens once a week on really bad road. I drive everyday..ill still bring it up and see if they can get me an alignment and tracking done. Overall I cant complain. I mean I drove my mates m3 e92... by comparison the steering was way too light and no real feedback. 350z had good feedback on heavy 19s and a nice weighty feel, not old school bmw heavy, but a gd balance. This ones similar. Im getting clutch checked, boot, service done full inspection, and alignment checked.... Clutch is slipping slightly already.... I bought the car for mid £20s 2017 nismo with 3000 miles ex demo..got 2 free services + breakdown. so its not gona perform like my bros 2016 porsche 911 na that cost £70,000, but is it really 3 1/2 times the car??????
  4. Dunlops, must be the amount of complaints from customers, bridgestones are no better than budget, Have a feeling its the alignment and tracking or something in the suspension. Im taking it in on the 7th. Theyll prolly give me a glorious micra, so I asked for automatic...
  5. I saw some videos, in america they get non resonated aam tails dirt cheap. From torqen they are £680 resonated, stainless steel. Or full system invidia for £1000...both not too loud. The stock exhaust post 2015 is worse than some 2 liters out there lol, the aygo my mom got had a louder down shift and thats a 1.4 auto or something lol
  6. Mine tramlines a bit too, calling in on monday I got a few bullet points for them to work on, Bridgestones suck, nearly lost it yesterday, took me half a second to react, might get a new set, The tramlining is only happening on bad roads, the car as whole is less stable then my 350, I had tramlining on a406 yesterday that was bad, it goes away after 10 seconds.... Plus need an oil change
  7. Wheres your local? Getting custom tails made, leaving the rest. Thats all you done? Did you change anything else?
  8. Theres me thinking why I have to travel. Mill hill westway and the one recommended above are high performance centers. They know the car inside out.
  9. Im caught up between aam short tail (resonated) and invidia gemini full system for my 2017 nismo, £320 pound difference. On invidia is stainless steel or titanium better? If anyone is near london with aam short tails and near stock on the rest will like to have listen. Thanks
  10. Christ, time for an oil cooler lol
  11. More from Nissan ! Get them from one of the many traders on here is your best bet. the cause of my knocking was banana bar bushes and arb drop links. Cool thanks
  12. i know these might be different but why do they have the similar names, doesnt one sit higher up than the other on the suspension set up http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NISSAN-350-Z-350-Z-FRONT-LOWER-CONTROL-WISHBONE-ARM-RIGHT-HAND-SIDE-R-H-DRIVER-/301989252801?hash=item464ff64ec1:m:m_n9y-VEtE3v-gmulaVb9jQ http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/FOR-NISSAN-350Z-FAIRLADY-Z33-FRONT-LOWER-TRACK-CONTROL-WISHBONE-ARM-BUSH-/301385170476?hash=item462bf4be2c:g:H2oAAOxyUrZSzubM Not buying them just seeing which parts are which
  13. is the genuine arm bar from Nissan £250 per side?
  14. anyone know the labour time on drop link change. can get the parts myself,
  15. the way i see it is they can do what they like to it, bottom line is its going home with me lol. things like key marks and hairline scratches dont worry me anymore, im used to it now, its you who will be driving it home and has the car ;-)
  16. i will try and get a second opinion over the weekend, its a 2003 with 86k miles, cant see any advisories, reciepts, possibly never been changed, speaking of links do you mean the drop links/anti roll bar links?
  17. Hi guys, long time, I have an issue with my car with noise coming from the front The mechanic checked it and we have changed the shocks, mounts and bushings are ok. The noise is apparent when going over a speed bump at an angle. If i go over straight on its not always there. Its got worse over the last few weeks. If one wheel on the left is depressed and one isnt it makes noise, or if the bump is high and the car drops of it it clunks. if the car overs with two wheels depressed it isnt always clunking. It used to be mainly on the left side. but now its on both sides. It sounds like cupboard drawers knocking. Almost like a wooden sound. mechanic reckons it is the Banana/Compression arm. some forums say links, But to test the car needs weight on it. It would be easy to test if there was a small hump just before the ramp. Im not sure if it can be heard from outside. Any ideas?
  18. Breaking as in removing mods or breaking completely?
  19. we all could have held back and never bought a z because a good example never came on the market. Thats how it goes lol. £7000 is a fair price for the extras added. Even though it probably only covers a fraction on what was spent.New buyer doesnt need to do much, Just drive
  20. Get a fire extinguisher just in case. I have one anyway, even though mine doesnt shoot flames. It does pop
  21. I do worry about mine, as the wheels are in your face so to speak. I try and park where there are cameras and it is busy. When I go to work I park in front of the cctv cameras in shopping center. Hoping should the worst happen I can pay them a fee and get the tape with no problems. or simply report to police and hope they will put pressure to get the video. Even so its not a big enough crime to warrant looking for the culprit. I had it happen to my honda civic when i left it at the mechanics. 7 cars were keyed in on multtiple panels. Mine had every single panel keyed in. The guy who works there has annoyed a few people. Never got it sprayed i drove around with it, after that i stopped caring about this stuff. The bonnet, two front quarters, both doors and the roof all deep scratches. The bonnet had a long obvious squiggly line. When I went to the car wash the guys there were saying picasso did this. Sold the car for £900 pounds and the buyer came at night.....but i showed him all the damage On the off chance you do see someone best to call the police and follow them quietly till the police arrive.
  22. lol, my first quote at the age of 25 on a Golf 1.6 2002, was £1500 pounds, 6 years later my quote on a 350z was £750 pounds with 6 years NCB, no other insurance would have me at a decent price, yet a 20 something year old from the country side or outside Londinium can get it at £600 pounds with 0 years no claims. Fair world if you ask me! Thats with a modded exhaust which is common on these cars as the standard ones are rubbish. and bigger wheels to keep the lump on the road. But hey what do I know. No points, no accidents, no claims
  23. magic mileage filter, narrows down the search, why some people dont put the mileage on display lol
