  1. Hiya, yeah i got it all fitted and it's great. I had to fabricate my own holders for the 6.5" speakers but all it took was some 5mm MDF and a thin saw with a detachable blade. When i looked up the details of the 370z audio system the website listed the speakers as 6.5 but apparently that's the non-bose speakers. The bose speakers are 6x9.

The rest of the process was relatively pain free except for running the speaker wire through the door panels. I used a modelling knife to cut a very small hole in the molex which seemed much less risky than using a dremel or something.

Now just need to add a sub :)

  2. I've just booked in for the start of April, he did me a deal on the full detail with paint protection @ £300 so I'm going to suck it up and see how good it is.

Mine is a black 370z which has a lot of swirls and generally looks to have been not well looked after by the previous owner. It should be a tough job for him :)

  3. I'd be interested in one , maybe if a few of us groupled together it would be worthwhile

I wonder if there are many others interested in this? As far as i can tell, there are no ready to buy custom sub enclosures for the 370z in the UK. if a few more express interest i'll look into the feasibility of a group buy.

  4. Hi guys, I'm mostly done on my install but something has throw a spanner in the works. When looking at the size of the 2009 370z speakers, everywhere says they are 6.5. However i've just taken the door cards off the they are 6.9! I bought these - https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/focal-165-as-access-series-2-way-16-5cm-6-5-component-car-speakers.html - with these - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/nissan-micra-almera-speaker-adapters - but this is pretty much what is in my car from standard - https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0ahUKEwiywLLDh77LAhUBEJoKHX0oCscQjRwIBw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.whatsinside.info%2Fbose-nissan-370z-subwoofer%2Fbose-nissan-370z-6x9-speaker-img1%2F&bvm=bv.116636494,d.d24&psig=AFQjCNF181R4tfDp5wg5Obx1vw3GV5uIZA&ust=1457972077599490

The speaker adapters just dont fit at all so i really dont know what to do. My car has bose HU and amp, which i've removed, but not NAV. I thought my speakers were 6.5?

So frustrating as my car is still in a thousand bits and i need to drive to work tomorrow!!! :(

if anyone can help i'd be so thankful!

  5. Hello!

So I've had my 370z about a month now and it's become very clear that the bose sound system is rubbish!

I've recently gone out and bought some focal PS165 components, I have an old alpine CDE-133BT single din HU from my old car, which is full bluetooth, and a kenwood 4 chan 980w amp.

I've been quoted £495 to put the lot into the Z but I'm considering doing it myself. Has anyone done this? Is it tough?

I think i can manage the removal and install of what I have, but something like connecting the steering remote is totally alien to me!

    This is what I bought - https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/connects2-ctkns07-nissan-370z-2009-double-din-car-stereo-fascia-fitting-kit.html?search=370z

Do you think this part is much more complex than fitting the HU, amp and wiring?

Part of me wants to do it myself for the achievement and knowing i've done it properly, but i'm shitting myself that i'll do it wrong and break something!!! haha

I wonder if anyone local to me would be able to give me some guidance if went to you for a chat?

Thanks in advance for any comments!

  6. I had some issues with oil temp after leaving the garage and I've only just got her back yesterday but I'm glad to finally have such a wonderful new car! (was just a sensor issue).

Being a bit of a geek, I obviously called her Zelda ;-)

Will try to show at a meet or two soon, I live in fleet and work in Basingstoke.

  7. Hi guys,

I've just picked up my new 2009 370z last night and it's permanently in limp mode due to the oil temp being stuck on 150 Celsius. During the test drive it was fine, but once it got up to temp on the way home the oil temp just went to 150c and stayed there.

Is it possible my car has this issue? Any thoughts would be appreciated, after buying the car i'm left with little funds to actually fix the thing.

I doubt the garage didnt know about this unless they've only ever driven with the motor cold. I have a 3 month engine and gearbox only warranty with it, will this be covered? I plan on calling them shortly when they open.

    Thanks for any suggestions!

  8. Hi guys,

I'm very close to being a new 370z owner. my holding deposit is in and finance is accepted. I pick her up on Monday the 8th!

I have a question if you don't mind? I've seen the previous selling advert for my particular car and it says it came with an invidia gemini exhaust. How can I tell if this is still on the car? The garage doesn't seem to know...

    Thanks,
    Tarl
