Correct, they modify the early DE (pre revup) 2003-2005 airboxes, such that they replicate the 06 onwards box (which has a slightly revised/better design allowing better air flow)

What is it about the exhaust in the second picture make me chuckle?

Did you ring around loads of insurers mate? I'm only 21 and I'm paying less than half of that! I'm sure you did, but just incase - as there's really no point in paying any more than you need to! There are loads of suggestions of companies to try (if you haven't already) in the insurance section on here (admiral, adrian flux, etc etc), but I'm almost certain you should be able to knock some off that premium Sorry to hear about the damage too! I just can't get my head round how some people can do that sort of thing

It's a great feeling isn't it! And it's nice that other people can enjoy seeing your car, in the same way you enjoy owning/driving it! My old mini (full rally lights and everything) used to attract a lot of thumbs up from young 'uns and oldies alike, and I was worried I'd lose that with a "modern" car... but if anything the zed gets more!

Even just doing short journeys it'll still be happier than being laid up all the time Besides I assume your bro will be driving it at the weekends and such - giving it a chance to have a decent run out most weeks Only thing would be, as others have said; try and avoid putting it under higher loads (flooring it and the like) before it's warm... again they're pretty damn robust motors (touch wood) so shouldn't be too much of a problem, but if there's no need to floor it before it's warm then why do it anyway? Oh and fuel economy.... haha yep

Beautiful motor! I can completely sympathise with the logic of keeping a rusty old project car in the warm dry garage and the expensive performance car out in the elements... It's just how it works I guess
