The difference with those brakes is quite something!

I bought a replacement set of Cats from a breaker as my passenger side one had crumbled inside. However when trying to replace mine the garage just could not get the drivers side cat off as it had rusted solid bolts, hence I was not able to fit the new one on that side. Which is why it is now for sale. It comes with the sensor and plug. The sensor has not been tested by myself, only the breaker, as i could not get that Cat fitted to my car. I found it very very difficult to find replacement stock Cats, and was lucky to get these ones. Im not looking to make money, I only want to make the money back I spent on it. £150 collection from Norwich. I can get a quote for postage if this is needed.

Im having another clear out and still have this for sale: I have for sale my JDM option Momo steering wheel for sale. This was an option in Japan, and is very rare to find. So much so that I cannot find a single one for sale on the internet... I did find a USA forum thread stating that on the rare occasion they are found for sale, they can sell for $700+. It came on the car when it was imported. And the reason for the sale is that i have upgraded to a 370z and for the trade in they wanted the car as stock as possible so I took what i could off the car. It is a great modification to the car, making the car look very sporty, whilst keeping the Nissan badging and genuine parts. It has an airbag in the centre section. Please note is has a single connector for the airbag as shown below. The pictures really dont do it justice, it just looks amazing! SOLD collection from Norwich.

Im having another clear out and have my K&N 57i induction kit for sale that I managed to get off my 350z before it was traded in. The piping and filter are in very good condition, however as expected the metal heat shield has some surface rust where the black coating has come off on the bottom. This cannot be seen when it is installed on the car. It does has two of the four bolts that hold the heat shield to the filter holder that have snapped (as pictured below). However it still holds fine with the two remaining bolts. I have reduced this to £100 collection from Norwich. Or can get a quote to post.

Wanted to get in on this thread. There are some great photos! And it only took about a year to look right from the start

Another little project while i had some time off for Easter. I wanted to respray the silver door handles to match the anthracite alloys. The finish has actually come off really good and the colour match is nearly perfect.

Haha. No worries at all, ask away... I scraped out/off the old silicone and then basically went nuts with loads of replacement silicone sealant. The sealant i got was made for a glue gun holder, which made it very easy to apply into the crevices where the sealant goes. Just make sure you apply loads and almost go over the top with it and you will be fine. Then just reheat the edges and push the lights back together. Here is the finished product. I was very happy with the results.

I was exactly the same regarding the oven method and would never do that! I used the alternative way of just using a heat gun. It was actually very simple to do, it just required patience. I actually didnt even use a heatgun as i didnt have one, i used a hairdryer. And it still worked. If i can take them apart with a hairdryer, anyone can take them apart using a proper heatgun

Advice Needed: Wiring Diagram - Footwell LEDs
davidv10 replied to davidv10's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
Thanks for the reply. Yeh i know you can, but want them to seamlessly tie in with the sidelights, and also dont want anything sticking out of the cigarette lighter. Want it to look as oem and tidy with no cables or plugs as possible. -
Advice Needed: Wiring Diagram - Footwell LEDs
davidv10 replied to davidv10's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
Anyone? -
Im looking to put in footwell LEDs that will come on with the sidelights. I have found from the US forums that you can tap in to the heated seats off the brown plug under the cup holder. You just tap in to the red wire there. I will also have a master on/off switch as well. Can someone confirm/advise on the below wiring diagram i have made for this? The only thing i wasnt sure about was having to put in another fuse, but i guessed that the heated seats power would already have one further down? Thanks in advance.

I havent had a chance to do anything to the car recently, but managed to get my hands on a Stillen CAI off ebay. This links in very nicely to my Stillen CBE. It was actually easier to fit than i thought it would be, and extending the holes for the piping out of the engine bay was actually very simple. All i can say is im blown away by the results. I was just running a stock intake without decent panel filters, which is why i guess im noticing this improvement. The throttle response feels improved and its definitely a bit quicker. It feels like its breathing and flowing very well. And there is definitely more of a growl when you floor it and more suction intake noise. Anyway, here are some pictures:

Thanks for the advice, but i have done this a few times now, and its still not working... Any other ideas? Has anyone done this on a 09/59 plate? That is the only thing i can think of as I know they have differences to the newer plates.

Anyone any ideas?

The switch unit just pops out
-
I just cut all the tabs off, and the passenger switch now has a double click like the driver switch, but even with the double click it still wont auto up. Is there a window module i need to reset or anything? Thanks! I have a 59 plate, dont know if that makes any difference...??

Perfect, thanks guys! Didnt know you could get non gloss laquers...

Im looking at painting mine. One quesion, how does painting them hold up? As obviously they have hands and fingers rubbing on them regularly, so wouldnt want the paint to fade/come off shortly after they have been done. i would just be looking at sanding them, priming them and then a satin anthracite to finish. As i dont want a gloss finish. any advice or experience to share would be good

Help: Footwell Lighting to come on with Headlights
davidv10 replied to davidv10's topic in I.C.E & Electronics
Thanks for this. Where would be a good place to cut in to the taillight wiring? I would assume it would be easiest to get to near the tail light plug and then wire back into the front of the cabin? -

Thanks for the info guys. Thanks, thats really helpful. Sorry for the silly question, but where is that light module? If you have a guide that would be so helpful! I did have a search but couldnt find the wiring to the lights/light module. -
