hi everyone moving along now we are starting to put the engine and gearbox together. Also smaller jobs. First job was to replace pilot bearing

After you have installed the shifter. Check Gear shifts to make sure all is ok

Next on the agenda. Is to replace stock gear change with shortened and I SR shifter I have arranged the photos so you can see the dismantle of the existing Shifter and cradle and then reinstalling the new shifter and cradle. When the engine is reinstalled the reason why the the gear shifter is shortened approximately by 2 inches is because the engine and gearbox is further back into the car. This helps push weight into the centre of the car , we'll see about that at the end of the day, I will weigh it to see difference between stock and ls build

Engine has arrived safely and now on with the build.

Engine is on it's way should be able to get on with the build when it arrives

Just a couple of photos of the engine just finishing off the build and the other is it being installed on the dyno

The dyno Run produced 454 BHP and 442 Torque pounds . Once installed it will have a final dyno tune to allow for exhaust , gearbox, etc..im extremely happy with the result and hopefully i Will be able to install the engine SOON

Last video is of the dino Run producing the safe map for the engine before it gets installed into the car. I say safe map this is where the engine is not tune to it ultimate Power just so that it can be installed and run with safety in mind, and then when the car is finished it gets tune to his potential

this video shows the The fly by wire 350Z throttle pedal working with an LS3 throttle body on an LS1 engine . This allows for better throttle response and delete the throttle cable

Hi sorry it been a long time ago I put a progress report about the Ls1 swap . The above video is of the newly built engine on the dyno. First video above is of the engine being revved checking oil pressure water temperature and getting the fuelling correct with the new ECU

Hi everyone . Kyle Russell has been busy building my engine he has kept me updated it's not completely finished, as David finishing off the wiring loom, as you can see he's doing a great job I'm really happy with the progress

By this time the I will have the LS engine in the car and running It will probably be the first time it will be shown, can't wait

Hi fellas i normal would have my name down for this with also the catering manager in the passenger seat but I'm pretty sure that the car won't be finished by japfest Silverstone but I'm trying my best. If it changes i Will let you know .!

Here's the list of the LS1engine parts

Just recently I have taken the engine out as you can see the engine bay isn't too bad but there are a few spots of rust and and tidying up is required. With this in mind and I have now turned my attention to Kyle Russell and is doing the engine build and his is counterpart Dave who's also doing the wiring loom for the build one of the original photos I put in the the build thread was of a completed engine by Kyle Russell. My engine will be a LS1 5.7 litre normally found in a corvette around 1999 to 2002 an early engine producing around 350 brake horsepower Kyle will be taking the engine completely apart and rebuilding it with new parts as I intend to keep the car for a long time the camshaft will be from an LS7 . The heads will be from a later version allowing greater flow of air fuel all the internals will be updated and the crank will be reground and new new bearings throughout Hopefully by the end of the build the engine will then produce close to 450 horsepower with the equivalent in torque but it will be dino Run and we will find out the exact figures on the rebuild

I'll be chucking it down the loo, won't be able to hear it, prefer v8 audio more
