  1. Bit more progress coming together now and the engine bay is looking tight. I have changed the stock fans to Mishimoto it also helps with extra cooling and clearance, for the air intake i probably will change the size of the intake and colour of the pipes? Not sure yet I'm just concentrating on getting this up and running still waiting for a few parts but not many Did have a play with the running and seems to be working nicely
  2. I will put on the forum the rest of the build obviously, but I will also let everyone know how reliable it has been and any problems I come across also driving pleasure per gallon ,also give a reasonable pricing and different ways of taking on a project like this!!
  3. Thank you very much for your kind response, much appreciated. My idea has always been to bring both worlds together and use the GM, Ls series engine are very undestmated in this country and the cd09 gearbox together with 350z chassis hopefully will make enjoyable fun combinations. More importantly reliable in the long term .
  4. I hope that I will try to get between 20 and 30 if I'm wearing me halo and a lot of the mileis down hill
  5. it's going to be a bit juicy , but I probably won't be doing more than 3 thousand miles a year i will try not to have to much of a lead foot , maybe a little bit
  6. Here's a short clip of just the V8 soundtrack
  7. At the end of the evening success was sweet and the engine is very healthy but still more work before it's back on the road
  8. Here we're checking for spark not the conventional way but I've had too many shocking times in the past
  9. Hi everyone everyone finally finished off the wiring and check systems oil in and ,power steering fluid installed. We're going to try a short start up to see if it will run . The 1st time that we put power into the system the starter motor was permanently engaged so quickly sorted starter motor to make sure it worked correctly . OK . So we turned it over and nothing just a strong smell of petrol anyway took one of the spark plugs out and checked to see if we've got a spark yes OK so checked over the engine again to see if I've missed anything the only thing that is not working at the moment is the MAF , and air intake temperature sensor. So back to the drawing board and head scratching so had a cuppa tea with a shortbread biscuits , tried the car again and came to the conclusion that we probably had a mixture of old fuel condensation build up and flooding the engine. A few minutes later Hurray successfully managed to fire up with a little help from a friend . Video to see what happened
  10. Finally finished off with the exhaust front to back with. Most of the wiring is in waiting for a few sensors then a start up !!!!!! Then check for all oil leaking etc
  11. https://youtu.be/YAsEumZvLPg Throttle cable is installed
  12. Had Some good news today . The wiring has turned up So cracking on with the build Very pleased with the quality of the wiring loom
  13. I would love to go as not only will you have time attack drifting on a fantastic circuit it's a great day out get your name down PAYCO Sam PatmorE Bunning Nismoandy
  14. Thanks for your best wishes much appreciated . I still am waiting for the rest of the wiring loom. But hopefully in 3 weeks time I'll have all of the wiring when I get a chance next week I will update the progress on the bit's and pieces, tidy up etc
  15. Well done Steve great job fab design for the discerning members
  16. I have had the order for the wiring loom ecu etc,for a while I have continuing with the build I haven't chased up my order with them, Wiring specialities supply a fantastic product won I'll share with you once it's installed using all of your factory instruments and adding a couple of cool features, but because of the pandemic there's a back log of orders and I won't receive mine for two months , so that means a bit of a go slow for the build although I would like to push on i will go over what I have done and make sure that it's OK.
  17. Yes pretty much as you say, the Nissan ecu will run everything around the engine ,and a separate ecu will run and translate the LS engine
  18. Onto the next stage now with the wiring , this is stage where there's not a lot to show you but here's a couple of photos to give you a rough idea and it will take a while to complete so I probably won't post for couple of weeks ( just a note to everyone this part of the wiring loom has now been updated with a different version from wiring specialists)
  19. Installed the oil filter relocation kit from sikky . Also Connected the fuel pipe to Ls fuel rail, Surprisingly, a standard Nissan click on fuel connection works
  20. Been tidying up the pipe runs and in some places secured them , so as they can not to rub on anything that might damage them . Also I was mucking with the air filter .
  21. Small update the vacuum pipes and water pipes installed and just waiting on a few more parts to carry on
