Hi everyone I have not been on for a while as I have had a few jobs to finish off I have been running the car when I get a chance so it beds in many components engine clutch etc ,I had my first run out with the club to the Ace cafe , which was a great day out lovely to see many club members. One of those jobs was to change over the fuel pump as the engine and fuel rail needs to runs at 4 bar around 57psi and the original 350z v6 runs at 3 bar 51psi , although there's not much difference between the pressure it does effect the start up and the potential power output (bhp) I'm getting some one to tune it properly soon ,and will put on the dino tune for everyone to see. I will also put on a few more issues that I have had to sort out, soon

Good news for me I have now got an MOT , but I did have bit of a drama at mot center , " I arrived on time said hello chatted about the car left the car running to get the sports cats as warm as possible did the emissions first and all was going well turned the car off , then restarted to put on the ramp, and then I had petrol leak from underneath, o dear they were not happy with me, it was were i had clipped on a new hose and it wasn't quite clipped in all the way anyway pushed it back on and all was okay As soon as It passed I had a quick trip round to a mate of mine. their are a few electrical issues so next week it goes in the work shop , nothing to serious
-
The very little i have driven it ,it's quite easy to spin up the rear wheels and the stability keeps going off telling me slowly please

JAPFEST SILVERSTONE SATURDAY 4TH SEPTEMBER 2021
Nismoandy replied to andy james's topic in National Events & Shows
Is there a way to check that tickets for the previous japfest are still valid and or still recognise by Silverstone? -
Thanks Martin and Andy really appreciated your comments thank you
-
Better get some petrol so popped into the local station i probably won't be able to stray to far away from my petrol station .
-
got all of this done so thought I'd better get the car out for a bit of a drive, why not ,what could possibly go wrong
-
The exhaust cats are finished and back in now happy with the end result ,also put the w brace back on and a couple of front iner wheel arch liners.
-
Hi Paul thanks for that ,good luck with your build but sure you will have few problems with your build as you know what your doing ,all the best Andy
-
I will have to cut and weld a new 02 sensor hole (bung) as the 02 sensor are read before the cat and not after the cat . Also I have managed to order the fuel pump and pressure regulator for ls1 engine as it pressure needs to be around 58 psi ,it's from loj conversion and they've managed to incorporate the new fuel pump and pressure regulator in the original housing as the 350z and also have the same system as Nissan as in a no return fuel line .
-
So I've taken the cats apart at the seems made up a new end with 2.5 pipe on it and slid the cats over the top bolt both ends back on ,then tack welded up so as to get the correct positions for both cats
-
Above you can see that the exhaust is too low photo below that I disconnected the y pipe from the front part and you can notice that it is lower
-
Small update it been cold outside in the garage so us southern softy are rubbish with the cold , but I have rehashed the cats to lift the exhaust off the floor. I have ordered up and received the loj fuel pump and pressure regulator
