Before you hit the paintwork with anything it would be worth getting your paintwork assessed with a paint depth gauge. It'll give you some idea of what you have to play with and how aggressive (or non aggressive ) you can be. Apparently Nissan paint is quite soft, so follow the advise of nearly all the obsessive detailers about and start with the least agressive first then go up in stages as necessary until you find what works Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The original hood is vinyl I believe. And they all suffer there and the hood pivot points by the doors. Mine was like that but I factored in a replacement hood into the overall running costs and will be getting it done shortly. Unfortunately roadster hoods do not last forever and will need replacing eventually. Often UV damage is what kills them off in the end. I guess they aren't as durable as metal n paint!
