  2. I read my first Clive Cussler book last week ............ dear god it was dire - one of the only books I haven't been able to finish Which one? Some are better than others!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Also the jack reacher series are OK. They all seem to follow the same format though!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If you can sway away from the sci fi. I've been reading the Clive Cussler - Dirk Pitt adventures. Fairly easy going. But enjoyable yarns. Only 2 have ever been made into films. Sahara and raise the titanic. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Parked mine up in the Heathrow long stay cp. as I was on the bus to T5 spotted a black 350z coupe parked in the next car park Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Car hood warehouse are able to supply only. They tell me that the mohair is more durable than the original vinyl and less likely to crack and split due to shrinkage. (This is what happens to OEM. It shrinks over time) Expected life. Maybe 15 years It took the guy just over 3 hours to fit mine but I suspect it could be done DIY if you have the time and patience. 7. As I said before. Tyrone at Car hood warehouse doesn't recommend any of them on a new mohair roof. They have their place in restoring the dark look to an OEM vinyl roof I guess Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Larry from AMMONYC did a vid on some tyre decals. No idea on the name of the company but if you look for the vid in sure he mentions them. But in the states again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Cool All I can say is mine looks bloody fantastic. You won't regret it and it's well worth whatever you're paying. Are they providing the hood or did you source it yourself? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I had mine fitted by CarHood warehouse on Monday. Their advise is to clean the roof with a soft brush and mild detergent only. While I was there I asked them about the hydrophobic stuff such as from chemical guys and auto finesse and the response was " don't use them!!" Once you start you have to use them forever What you need to remember is that it's not the outer layer that makes the roof waterproof. The mohair roof is made up of 3 layers. The outer mohair is bonded to a rubber middle layer and the internal cotton layer. The rubber is waterproof!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Where are you getting it done? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Spotted on the anti clock side just after the tunnel. Came up behind me then Undertook Me and several others!!! I gave a wave. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New roof

Got to say the guys at CarHood warehouse do a cracking good job I can highly recommend them to anyone who wants/needs a new roof for their roadster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Haha. I thought maybe abbey had sorted out a deal. TBH its deffo money well spent. The hood looks so much better than the original vinyl version If I think that my original lasted 10 years and the expectation is a mohair will last longer it's definitely an investment worth making Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Especially if you got it fitted for £650!!! Mine just cost £850 for a mohair Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. The new roof looks ace BTW Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. The guy replacing my roof tells me the windows are not dropping enough when the door is opened to clear the roof edge. He suggested that the mechanism needs greasing Anyone experienced this before? I've had a search around but I can't seem to find anything ( the search function from the tapatalk app seems to bring up every post) I'll have another look round from my PC later Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
