Starter was the issue. Covered in oil from a mishap I had when I dropped a bottle of the finest all over the engine bay a few years ago, guessing this was the culprit. All solved now (y)

Sounds like it could be a leak from somewhere, gaskets, manifold maybe? Might explain the idle hunting as well. As long as it's not running lean when driving it'll be fine. Even if it was a touch lean when dirivng, unless you're F/I the risk to det is pretty low.

Thanks for the suggestion! It did pop through my head, but I'm parked right at the bottom of a hill on a close! So might have to wait until I get a tow to try that one out haha. Starter seems fine from a standard "Look and see if it's still there" Going to get under it soon and see if there are any faulty connections.

Hey all, long time no posting! - Got a weird issue that I could use some advice with. 2002 Z33, drove to work and back today, no issues. Packed up stuff in the boot for track day tomorrow, go to start her up to get the final fuel up, ignition on but no turning over. Almost like you get when you don't clutch in. Strange because I drove it about an hour beforehand, no problem. Checked clutch engagement switch, no issue. Changed relays on IPDM for the headlight relay, no issue. Ignition and all other electronics seem to be fine. Battery is fine. No clicking from the starter motor. (Repeated normal malfunction clicking at least. Spare key tried. No codes from JOBD/OBDII port. Fuel pump is priming. Now when I turn the key, I do hear what sounds like the relay functioning properly. I'm at a complete miss of what it could be at this point. - Hopefully someone with more talent can enlighten me. Cheers! Beefy

I find 5w30 burns off too quickly and ends up running a bit, well... "Low pressurey". I used 10w-40. But I send it a fair amount.

Hello friends, So after my drift day, in between worrying about everything breaking and checking my fluid levels. (Everything was perfect all day, I'm just paranoid it turns out). I decided to buy a bucket seat, as I was tired of being thrown around my cabin like a moron. So today I bought a seat, and about an hour later, I was wondering about the connector buckle, as it attaches to the seat in the Z. How hard is this to disassemble? I am putting the buddyclub rails in, does anyone have experience with mounting the buckle to this rail? Cheers, Beefy.

Hey guys, So today I've noticed that in 1at and 2nd, when coming off the throttle on lower gears (1st, 2nd) my Z feels "Jerky", a bit like gear backlash when i go from acceleration to over-run. Filled up a full tank with V-Power today, it's like night and day. Much smoother and a lot more comfortable. I'm thinking it's to do with fuel pressure or quality perhaps? Maybe fuel filter needs changing? Any of you guys noticed this or am I going mad? I was thinking of getting a Walbro, anyway. As I'm on 100K now. Thanks Beefy

Z's don't have a lot of power hahaha

I had an S14a, running 300 RWHP and a welded diff at 19 as my first RWD car. 350z's are extremely tame in comparison. As long as you don't try and be DK in the first few months you'll be fine. RWD is a learning experience at grip limit though.
