  1. Cheers mate, yes the MD stuff is outstanding quality. The lawn is a synthetic one. Got tired of flooding my garden every time I washed the car so I installed some proper drainage with that stuff on top and problem solved. Still looks good 3 years on.
  2. Hi all for sale I have my old exhaust system as I have just fitted a Motordyne TDX2. The whole system is in good used condition, gaskets are no more than a couple of months old and perfectly reusable. The mufflers have the odd scratch that would most likely polish out if you wanted it to look new but they are not really noticeable once on the car. The flexi joints on the Y pipe are in perfect condition as is the honeycomb structure of the cat. I don't have any sound clips of it on the car but being a buddy club pro spec, you can expect it to be quite loud! Makes a great noise but probably not the one for you if you do a lot of motorway miles. £450ono. Collection only from Farnborough, Hants. Thanks for looking, Rich.
  3. That looks bloody awesome mate, bet it sounds a whole load better though!
  4. Thanks mate! Just a quick rub down and a can of Hammerite smooth finish.
  5. I decided that although a polished plenum looks great the upkeep of it something I can do without so out came the black paint.
  6. I've just re-plumbed my system, removing my second sandwich plate and utilising the blanked off plug on the DE engine. For any one else wanting to do the same the thread is M12x1.5
  7. So another couple of updates. I've managed to do a bit of house keeping this weekend, I used to run 2 sandwich plated on my oil cooler set up, 1 for the thermostatic plate and 1 for the temp gauge sensor. I've never really liked it as it looked a bit unsightly and has more joints than necessary which is just another place to develop a leak. After reading one of Mark @ Abby Motorsports posts I discovered there's already a tap in on the DE block that allows for a oil temp sensor to be fitted. After removing the plug I discovered it was an M12x 1.5 thread so I got an adaptor to suit my sensor. I also took the opportunity to fit a HKS oil filter.... #becauseitspink and a magnetic sump plug. All topped off with Castrol Edge Titanium 5W-30 (my 3rd oil change in 6 months of ownership :s ). I'm now much happier with the set up, looks far more oem to me. I also sprayed and fitted my new cabin brace, just needed new longer bolts to be able to use the standard seat belt's but other than that it went in like a dream.
  8. Just a couple of updates. Got a new DA polisher so have been playing with that. Have removed the rear spoiler and booked it in for a respray to sort out the mess it's left! Fitted new rear lights. Very happy with them, amazing what a difference it makes.
  9. Another vote for TGM. Body work/ paint or mechanical they are top guys.
  10. I'd also have this if the sale falls through.
  11. Hi all, selling this as I'm getting a HR bonnet. Overall it's in very good condition no dents, bumps or scuffs. There is some very light scratching but you would have to look hard to see them. I've tried picking them up in pictures but my camera doesn't them up, that's how fine they are. Would be ideal for an SC build or track project to help keep engine temps down. More pics of it fitted on my build thread. Collection only from Farnborough, Hampshire.
  12. I'm currently wing free, perhaps I should go for a drive with the boot open and see what happens!
  13. TBF that screenshot is taken at 112mph wind speed and it's unlikely you will ever be attaining that on a public highway other than a straight motorway in a strong head wind. I don't think there is any question about wings producing DF and on the race circuit clearly they are proven. Even moto GP bikes have started experimenting with them! But for real world driving on public highways I can't see them doing much more than looking cool. In your original post you commented on how at 60mph it only produced enough DF to turn off the boot open sensor and I can't see that effecting the handeling of the vehicle in the slightest.
  14. Hi, I'd like one of these please. Can you PM me with payment details? Cheers, Rich.
  15. Hi all, I have removed my Blitz style rear spoiler as I'm going for a different look. It's in great condition, primed and ready for paint. I'm happy to get it painted at my local body shop in a colour of your choice at your cost if you wish. Fitment wise it looked good to me, please see my build thread as there are a few pics of it fitted. Collection only from Farnborough, Hampshire as I wouldn't want to risk it being damaged in the post. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/102665-richs-black-import/page__st__20 Cheers, Rich.
  16. You may also want to think about the thermostatic element of a cooler. If you plum it in way you suggest then you won't have any control of when the cooler opens/closes, it would just be flowing through all the time. I would suggest using a thermostatic sandwich plate that will only open fully when the oil reaches temp.
  17. This is going to be an outstanding. I can't wait to see it all come together.
