That fireplace is beautiful!

Do you know if the gold ones are a decent match for the brembos? And if they are long enough to work with spacers?
-
Absolutely stunning, looks like it's in fantastic condition.

I would 100% avoid milltek unless you're fitting HFCs. I had a milltek for about a month and was instantly disappointed as soon as it was fitted. Its quieter than OEM. swapped to an ark grip after and never looked back. Sold it to a forum member who has HFCs and I hear it sounds really well. Fitted with decats and it totally changed the sound lol. Imo it's verging too loud under load but nice n quiet ticking over n tootling about. Glad you're still loving it dude!

Horsham Development do a great service pack. You can order all of the components of the service in one go. Takes all the head scratching out of it!

If you're still loving the car I wouldn't let that mileage put you off it. You'd be wise to get a full inspection to get rid of any nasty surprises. Have you kept on top of the maintenance schedule? A full P3 service is a considerable cost.

Been loving the PPL routine I mentioned earlier, seeing improvements all round and feeling DOMS again like I haven't in such a long time. Had a bad bout of depression last week though which put me off the gym for almost a full week. Also went a bit too hard with landmine presses - didn't brace my core well enough and hurt my back a bit. Need to be more careful. Also absolutely loving romanian deadlifts. I just feel them everywhere. Even my upper back has DOMS which I rarely even get with rows. Brilliant exercise.

Thanks!

Kyle, In my last MOT the testers could barely get a reading off my exhaust, and now I'm getting a o2 sensor CEL. Do you think that means I'm running lean, and could the two be related? How would you fix running lean? Cheers! Honestly no idea mate. Did the tester mention it, or did you just notice it on the screen or printout? They were standing around scratching their heads for ages during the test, a bunch of testers came over and were all looking at the car and the reader. They asked me to hold it at higher revs for a while and then finally moved on. I asked what was up, and they said they just struggled to get any reading. I asked if it was a problem and he just shrugged.

Hi guys, Just did the pedal dance to get a CEL error code. Ignore my excitedness/wrong count out loud lol, took a good few attempts to get this to work and it only shows the code once. Do you think this is 1141 or 1142? Thanks!

Surely a hole in the exhaust under the car, which bypasses the backbox, has no mid pipe resonator etc., will not accurately reflect the sound of a complete exhaust system? Yes it will be louder, but you will have absolutely no way of then applying that knowledge to the purchasing of an exhaust system. The drone characteristic, loudness, rasp, pitch, tone, will all be completely different. How do you use your new knowledge to help you purchase an exhaust?

Even though the intentional destruction of the exhaust is after the cats, there is still a massive amount of carbon monoxide passing through. Imagine the grief a family would feel if you passed out at the wheel due to inhaling too much CO, plowing into their innocent son, killing him. Imagine the pain of court hearings etc. Then, when they think they have suffered enough, the court shows exhibit F. Exhibit F is this thread. They read through each of the comments, and finally, they show that photo you linked of the intentionally installed giant hole in your exhaust. For them to know that such a tasteless mod exists on this earth would just be insufferable. They would never recover. On their son's grave, it would read, 'Why didn't OP just get an Ark Grip from Tarmac???'.

Just started the reddit 6 day PPL routine the last few weeks. Absolutely loving it. Seeing steady progress so far and feeling truly exhausted by the end of each session. Brilliant! PULL Deadlifts 1x5+/Barbell rows 4x5, 1x5+ (alternate, so if you did deadlifts on Monday, you would do rows on Thursday, and so on) 3x8-12 Pulldowns OR Pullups OR chinups 3x8-12 seated cable rows OR chest supported rows 5x15-20 face pulls 4x8-12 hammer curls 4x8-12 dumbbell curls PUSH 4x5, 1x5+ bench press/4x5, 1x5+ overhead press (alternate in the same fashion as the rows and deadlifts) 3x8-12 overhead press/3x8-12 bench press (do the opposite movement: if you bench pressed first, overhead press here) 3x8-12 incline dumbbell press 3x8-12 triceps pushdowns SS 3x15-20 lateral raises 3x8-12 overhead triceps extensions SS 3x15-20 lateral raises LEGS 2x5, 1x5+ squat 3x8-12 Romanian Deadlift 3x8-12 leg press 3x8-12 leg curls 5x8-12 calf raises

Great to see an update after this time. I was reading through the posts today and didn't notice how long ago they were - so a year later update was great. First thing that came to mind is if your battery is ok? You mentioned it had been sitting for a while and then you got the error. I have heard that a low battery can cause some odd errors to occur.

Saw your post about your circumstances in another thread. Sorry to hear about that, and best of luck with the sales!

Central locking firing again after door opening?
colesl4w replied to colesl4w's topic in 350Z Technical
Hahah I think that sums up my Z experience Kyle! -
Hi all, A bit of a strange one here. I have noticed that when I unlock my car from inside (using the door switch), and then get out and open the passenger door, about 5 second after I open it I will hear the central locking system fire again as if I pressed the 'open' button on my fob. I used to think I was indeed pressing the button by accident, until a diagnostics scan for another issue revealed a 'central locking open detect' error. Ive now noticed the opening sound happens every time I go through the above routine. Its not a big issue at all, but just wondering if anyone else had come across this? Thanks!

I've heard of people in other countries putting on exhaust tips that point the opposite direction of where the drive by mic is hahah. Not sure you'd get away with that in the UK.

Those buyers are absolutely crazy, but it's a good point. On a related note, any time I buy a car, I will have it fully researched, know all the common problems etc. Spoke to someone a few weeks ago who just happened to be walking past a car dealer (6 months after buying a car), saw a car that "looked pretty and [they] had never seen before", and just bought it there and then. A car dealer's dream  .
-
I think that's a great idea. If I was an owner I would be tempted to get the inspection done just before putting it up for sale, and adding a significant premium to the price of the car if it came back clean. I'm sure plenty of buyers would be tempted to pay the premium due to the amount of hassle saved.

Very strange. I was thinking that even 220 miles to a tank like you were getting previously is very low. I do short, quick runs and still get roughly 320. What is your usual MPG reading?
