Hello all, basically yesterday an elderly woman came across into my lane (apparently she didnt see me) and caught the rear quarter of my zed with her wing. We have gone through insurance and she has admitted liability so its all getting paid for and wont affect my insurance which is some good news at least! Most annoying part is im going to the ring on the 10th of September and i doubt it will be repaired by then Please tell me its repairable? Surely its a whole new rear quarter panel? Funny you say that, ive removed both shrouds as they were lose. Its really quite noisey from inside. I might put the gopro in a few places and see if its easier to hear

Anyone else have any idea? It only does it once the engine is warm, it doesnt do it when in neutral and its only at bang on 2k and 3k rpm for about a second. Cheers

It definitely doesnt sound right to me. Although it doesnt happen when cold so it could be exhaust.

Gearbox and diff oil are new. Just been out again and you cant hear it when idling, only when going along. Also i couldnt hear it until the engine warmed up a bit.

What do you want to know? I dont think its the belts, ive changed them recently and the tension still seems fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

Get it really hot? I have a cobra resonated system with standard cats and it pops and burbles. It is a manual though

I did a track day today so the car got very hot! Driving it home i noticed at pretty much exactly 2k rpm there is a high pitched squeal until about 2.5k rpm where is goes, sounds like it might be the exhaust? Any ideas? Cheers

I had a problem where the first 10mm of travel in the clutch pedal was soft and felt soggy. After that the pedal had feel. Also when the clutch was returning, it would come back up to the soft bit and then jump up after id taken my foot off. I changed the slave cylinder and clutch line and also all the fluid and bled it through but it still didnt feel right. I had a garage check it over and he bled it again. But it still feels the same if not a bit worse now? What else is there to try? Cheers

Thanks guys, the fibres are all in the air, so i think its fibreglass also.

A bit random but thought someone might know. My dad is concered that the insulation in the loft might contain asbestos, ive done an awareness course at work and im sure its just fibreglass wool, but im not sure. Can anyone put our minds at rest? Cheers
