Exige 350 can be had on a 66 plate for mid-high 40k. Do it.
-
I did, and I love my car - but then I was limited due to insurance and not willing to spend a fortune on maintenance too. Hell a base spec BMW 420d M sport starts around £38,5k... don't get much for your money elsewhere.
-
Drove past you, you were parked at a shop I believe? Lovely colour

I think its a pretty ugly car to be honest, and like the 4C, it will be a fad. Get something that will be different or exotic. A big engine helps This is also just my opinion, but a turbo 4 is crap when I can have a bigger 6, or even a V8. The Exige ticks the most boxes for me that way, VERY rare, holds value like you wouldn't believe ( if you bought one for circa £50k, not new ) and because they are rare, and not "luxury" cars you get road presence for those in the know, and those who aren't will mistake it for high end cars Oh did I mention they are stupid fast too?
-
My money is towards a nice Lotus Exige, but the V6 variant. Try and strive for the 350 as it's an updated version of the S, or better yet, a 380 Good luck with the search, I had a similar dilemma earlier this year and ended up with the Nismo. Was the best " on paper" buy. Brand new car, fit and finish was very good. E92 M3 was too old, Mustang was too crap ( bad fit, driving felt like a sponge ) and Cayman was out of reach for my budget ( wanted a newer one ) The Lotus just ooozes road presence, at the cost of comfort and maybe the interior isn't the most plush!

I don't mean to be rude, but don't you think the price is a bit steep, considering it's not even powdercoated/clean?
-
I'd take the cash, put down a nice deposit on something tasty, or use it for home improvements type thing? For the record, a new Nismo can be had for less than 37k on Carwow, or you can buy used for under that. £10k down with a £37k car puts you at atound £285 a month, if you'd be looking to finance - I was told every £1000 knocks the monthly down by £30 ish, which doing the maths seemed true.

Just hit 120004 gamerscore... maybe I should get a new hobby...

I got Forza 7, but generally anti-social hahaha Recently got a Logitech G920 so practicing with that. With a controller I can beat the game on Unbeatable and no assists, with the wheel I can barely complete a lap without spinning so far... PM me if you want my gamertag, be warned, I won't use a Mic haha

I don't use cash for anything nowadays, why risk it? It's not my problem if he wants to hide the tax etc.... that's on you pal. I hope it all goes well, and we look forward to seeing what you get ( subject to approval, if its a BMW/Audi/Merc we'll be having words - if it's diesel it'll be a straight ban )

Dark red, grey, and dark blue are my preferred models there
-
In the US they're closer to $50k USD - That is a hard car to sell when you get a Corvette for that sort of money

Yeah, I ignored it, Nissans been umming and ahh-ing for the last few years about the 370z. I'm glad I didn't wait for it to be revealed instead of buying my MK2, or else I'd still be stuck in a paint flaking 350 Wonder how my cars doing....

http://www.carbuzz.com/news/2017/10/30/Meet-The-Ferrari-FXX-K-Evo-The-Most-Extreme-Ferrari-Ever-Made-7741753/ Glad those weird little winglet things are gone, and going on the 599xx EVO, most people did indeed opt for the pack. It's all about lap times for these owners, and Ferrari know they'd sign on the dotted line before even reading the price.

Forza 7, replaying skyrim currently with 60 mods installed, Battlefield 1, and a bit of Witcher 3. Played the CoD beta, and since then have laughed at their franchise - Having owned every game since Cod 3, not a lot has changed in the last 5 or so games. Yes the jetpack jumping @*!# sucked, but if you ignore that, it still all plays the same - good for some, bad for some. Battlefield just feels much more rounded, and the community is better IMO. The CoD beta was full of drop shotting little pricks, and those who literally jump around a corner, which is annoying but not a huge problem as you can still kill them if you adapt quick enough. Being so used to Battlefield, if a guy camps out in a house, I just throw dynamite near the wall, and make a new door, if not crush him with the very house he's hiding in. Forza has been good so far, although the stupid crate system hasn't been good for me - Or the outfits. The outfits so far can only be gotten through crates, or driver level ups, which means all my rewards for levelling up are costumes as I don't want to get free cars or money. I like to earn them, so start in say a lunchbox, earn the Zed, then get a Mclaren or similar. Not "you finished your first race, heres £1M" Don't see many games coming out that interest me TBH

Well it's got a 6.2 V8 - even though its more efficient than our 3.5s haha But yeah its Auto, LHD, and a lot of money for an "old car" Small market to resell to. Quite a few factors
-
He's had it since before April, so yeah it'll still be there hahaha
-
That's a bit dramatic. Yes it's plastic, but that means it won't rust in our "exotic climate" Furthermore, they are great cars, if you google their laptimes they are insane value. The reason they cost so much here is supply n demand, making them not popular as they aren't the best quality. I would buy one for looks, they look epic. Seen 2 in my life in the UK - 13 years - Both times I was blown away and they roared past me. Do they look pathetic in the wet on a grey afternoon in the US too? Thats a dumb point. If they were RHD, I'd sooner buy one than a Mustang. IMO the LS series engines are much more favourable than Coyote. Simple, cheap/easy power and reliable!
-
Put it this way, that thing has been for sale since before I got my Nismo in April... I wanted a C6, but only LS3 models, and low mileage manual. The problem is, the market is small in the UK.
-
The cost is the same as mine, it was brand new and I waited for the tax ruling to change in my favour before buying. I have no idea what I paid upfront but it was around £7-800. And now that it's paid, my tax will remain at £140 a year. They should have explained that, its a one off fee! There were multiple threads asking about this, and google will tell you loads of information. Also, don't buy a brand new Corsa. God damn, imagine how much more car you can get instead of a shitbox!
-
I guess you can, but I doubt Nissan are very helpful...
-
Your boot should open first time every time. ( Mine does, and I've done 4000 miles since April in mine as its my daily ) Also how have you only done 600 miles since June???
-
Thats exactly whats happening all cars under £40k pay the same I believe? Theres MANY threads on it
-
I paid about £780 up front, and now it's £140 a year. So after 3 years it costs the same as before, and 4th year I've saved money
