I'll have a look at this, dad wants to replace his 63 plate 330D , might be a nice alternative And if not, it'll be fun at the least hey Tar for bringing it to my attention pal
-
Based on that, I will look at a re trim instead. I can't do wiring, and the headache it would cause is not worth it haha. You guys can lock the thread or delete it now

This looks like a fun thread to follow Not sure I dig the wheel colour, but probably will look good when it's all come together Keep us posted

Maybe I didn't search properly, or I'm lazy , but I can't seem to find a thread on the details of issues people have with their satnavs? I'm currently looking at an 06/56 car with sat nav and BOSE unit, but I want to know what issues they have From what I've seen the BOSE tends to skip and be a bit dodgy after a while, which made me worry what about the sat nav? It's not a huge issue, a member is selling his 05 satnav for a great price, but I'm not sure that it will be compatible with my ( potential ) car I'm a total rookie when it comes to I.C.E , the biggest job I've done is nibbled out metal rear parcel shelves for bigger 6 x 9 speakers YEARS ago with my dad - My current car has an aftermarket head unit and it was a ball ache to get it to sit flush so I want to try and keep it stock if I can Any pointers would help guys, again sorry for being a total rookie, at both I.C.E and forums :S Mike

I might be interested in the sat nav, will PM you now
-
Well that would be nice hahaha I have one on Forza, does that count?

While I agree price is high, I spoke to him and he seemed fairly honest ( for a car dealer ) This car is a facelift, 296 version and has a lot of extras. The cruise control and leather are vital to me, the fact it has satnav and reversing sensors is great too. I'm sorry but that JDM car doesn't hold a candle to this, the JDM is old, imported and lower spec. For the money, sure it's great, but I'm very fussy as you guys probably can tell ( and are getting annoyed with ) I might be able to crack him down to 8000 or 8250 at most. Just waiting for it to come back from the clutch job n service before I can test drive it. Hopefully I won't miss out!!

Erm... ...I'm going to say; yes, if it has been done, it probably can be done. Just a wild stab in the dark though, you understand. I realised what I did soon after posting hahaha. Well put. I just meant is it realistic? Like people have gone to the moon, but can I go ? :stir: I get your point, was a silly point I'll edit it now for you

I went to go and see a facelift 350z GT spec with sat nav today ( will post the link below ) The dealer said it has been sent away for a new Exedy clutch and flywheel from Europarts just up the road from them. I believe this and checked prices and it was fairly accurate after he said he got discount. My issue is that I checked the road tax and MOT online, he had the MOT done a week ago and the tax ran out on the 5th. From what I gathered the tax runs out at the moment the ownership changes hands, so IN THEORY he has had it for near 3 weeks now and done nothing to it, or he's been fixing little things to make it more appealing. I noticed his little young lad polishing scratches out of cars on the forecourt as I was leaving and had a look around his other cars, seemed to have all had a similar treatment. This is normal in my eyes, try and make it as appealing as he can to us, but now I'm definitely on guard for scratches. If anyone is local to the Poole area, would you please give me a huge hand and check the car out for me? He said it is coming back at the end of the week, so my guess is Friday, but he will call me when its back and I'll post it up here as soon as I found out. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201506144309244?postcode=bh241sz&maximum-age=up_to_10_years_old&model=350_z&sort=default&search-target=usedcars&transmission=manual&radius=1500&onesearchad=used%2Cnearlynew%2Cnew&maximum-mileage=up_to_70000_miles&page=1&price-to=9000&channel=cars&body-type=coupe&make=nissan&logcode=p I'd really appreciate any and all help Thank you very much Mike

Cause I don't own a Zed and feel a BMW 3 series wheel would look a bit odd But I get your point, I was just bored last night at work haha I sorta dig the flat bottom wheels too, especially one carbon is mixed in there
-
As the title states, I am wondering if it can be done for a realistic amount of money/time? I have seen some people do it, but I'm worried it will be a money pit or pointless. I mean time, if I can do it myself ( worried about wiring airbags tbh ) would be fine, get it done over a weekend, but if it's gonna cost me like £1000 why bother? I will attach the pictures I am thinking about having put in, when I eventually get my zed. I drove a 370z and LOVED the wheel. The other option would be to re trim the wheel and have it made fatter like a forum member who's name escapes me right now, again I will attach pictures let me know what you all think, I can't decide between the carbon fibre and the centre stripe but again COST IS AN ISSUE
-
What size are these? They look like 18's but cause they have a lip/dish they look small That's my other issue with these styles, always need a size or 2 bigger to make them really look the same as flush sitting wheels. I'm kinda on the fence about them, but glad you are happy mate
-
+1 THIS The wheels are too busy for a zed imo, but I do like them. Give it a go, and give us lotsa pics! Reminds me of Subarus with blue n gold haha
-
Welcome to the family I kinda dig the R8 side blade type thing
-
Holy crap really? I figured it was only major mods, like forced induction or exhaust etc. Does this go for OEM spec stuff too? So like in my pictures I have 2 sets of wheels, do I need to declare it every time I swap them for winter etc?
-
I was looking at this one funnily enough Wasn't sure it was a good one, and then various forum cars popped up n caught my eye. Does anyone know the previous owners? Thought they might have been a forum user perhaps? Ideally I'd need one of you forum wizards to check it over for me, or with me, or whatever, cause I'm clueless
-
Is it held together with the tears from my wallet too?
-
Hi guys, I think I searched the forum properly, but will an HR bonnet/hood fit on a non HR car? I just find they add so much muscle to the front of the car Only issue is, it'll be like people sticking an "M///" badge on say a 318i. So I'd be a fake essentially, but hey, looks good
-
Welcome, I recently joined myself, also looking for a 350z. The selfish part of me hopes you didn't get that black 350, cause I really wanted it hahaha
-
It is a 2003 E46 318i saloon, with just over 70500 miles ( it's my daily so this will rise roughly a little bit a week ) I've had her for 2 years now, and nothings gone wrong with her yet. I have had the common problems fixed already, being balljoints and rear springs. Obviously I can't get pictures right now as it's dark ( funny that, it's 1 am at the time of writing) but I will do that soon. Until then I will upload some of the time I washed n polished it. Unfortunately the wheels aren't as clean anymore, with some kerbing on each, which hurt my soul but didn't see the worth in spending £400 to fix them for now. I will get pictures of that soon too. I have done lots of little things myself to improve the car and make it suit my tastes more, which include black leather seats instead of the old worn out grey ( had rips from the previous owner ) and an aftermarket Pioneer head unit, which was mainly for CD function and Aux cable. I do still have the original from when this was replaced, if you'd prefer that, however it is a tape unit not CD. So a quick summary of changes: Genuine BMW MV1 Alloys + Falken 452 225/40/18s Black leather seats Pioneer head unit Transmission tunnel cupholders instead of useless coin tray type thing, but will include that too if you want it. Black/white BMW center caps and steering wheel badge instead of standard blue and white, all of which can be returned to stock for about £20 if you prefer I can't think of other things worth mentioning at the moment, but like I said I will get more pictures asap. Has nearly a years worth of MOT left, due 27/03/2016. http://i1045.photobu...zpsd55drvdr.jpg http://i1045.photobu...zpsv4syyyic.jpg http://i1045.photobu...zpsm4x9vdhf.jpg http://i1045.photobu...zpsq4yahudv.jpg http://i1045.photobu...zpsp44p0qw8.jpg http://i1045.photobu...zpsvkdfqywr.jpg http://i1045.photobu...zpskqltuett.jpg http://i1045.photobu...zpsvvjsq3x3.jpg http://i1045.photobu...zpsj4p265ty.jpg http://i1045.photobu...zpsamn5x1jm.jpg I am not 100% confident or familiar with uploading pics, so please forgive me for the mess. The photobucket ones should be different to the thumbnails, and show the damage to the wheels and some rust. There are no big dents, just one or 2 inconsiderate idiots opening doors into me. The rust looks bad, but mainly because I got up close to it to try and show that it hasn't broken the surface yet. If you have any questions ,or want more up to date pictures, and of a clean car ( went out last night for a 2 hour drive!! BUG MANIA! ) I will be happy to oblige. Mike

Saw a matte light blue 350z in the above area tonight, couldn't see the plate as it was too far away, but it was around 9pm I think.

Hi guys, I'm going to be cheeky and post out some feelers to see whats out there I'm looking for a facelift 350z, so 06 onwards, but I am very fussy, and perhaps unrealistic haha Hoping for anything less than 70k miles, with full history from Nissan or a trusted specialist and LOTS of paperwork. I don't mind mods, if they aren't going to need to be declared to insurance, such as different radio or wheels. Body kits are unfortunately a NO in my book, but a small spoiler might be okay. I NEED the following features ( cause I'm fussy ) Cruise control BLACK ONLY leather Non budget tyres, but I am flexible on that Hoping for Rays if I'm honest. My top end budget would be about £8500 but again , if the car is right, I might be flexible. I currently drive an BMW E46 318i as a daily, with 70,000 on the clock, rising slowly by about 50 a week which I would need to sell or swap with cash your way if that's your thing. Feel free to ask me any questions about the car, I can get pics and any details you need sent over or posted up here I realise it's a very tall order, but I figured I'd wait and get the perfect car and only buy once before keeping it a couple of years. I hope this thread is okay, Mods/Admins please feel free to tell me if anything needs changing. Thanks for any help guys Oh and before I forget, I'm based in Ringwood, so Bournemouth/Southampton area for those unfamiliar

DAMN IT!!! I went to sleep, woke up to discuss a loan with my parents, and it's gone already!!! The greedy side of me is annoyed, but that was so quick, I'm happy for you I'll still have that word, and call dibs if he pulls out

370z Carbon Mirror covers now in stock £95
Mikevv replied to Tarmac@TarmacSportz's topic in Tarmac Sportz
Is there any way of getting a complete carbon mirror housing from you guys? Those covers look great, but it'd bug me knowing they aren't complete I checked out various pics, and they seem to fit well though and of good quality, so I'm not dissing your product, just after something more -
Wow she looks great, my only gripe is the spoiler. It's not quite my style, but would you mind telling me how hard/easy it is to return it to stock form? Filling holes etc? I really wanted a facelift car, but at this price this is highly tempting. As said before, can we have some interior pics too? GLWTS
